Oh you're right! In addition, an operative cannot perform this action in the same activation in which it performed a Charge action. Will pin this!
So you know,
Custodes have a gun inside thier spear so they're not throwing it.
They are shooting the gun part of the spear.
Good to know! I'm not that well versed on their weaponry.
I chuckled and thought the same thing, but my head canon is that the guns also shoot spears now
bro you took the custodes and turned them into regular space marines LOL.. 1st round and 2nd round they didn't shoot anybody.. that's so sad @@MiniatureGameMontage

Seeing that Slasha Boy charge up to the Custodes, defeat him on melee, and then block all the shots from the other Custodes right after was a beautiful thing to see
Yeah that was crazy! Good moment to catch on film.
At around 11:30 the Custodian leader can parry both dice for just 1 of his own because of the stormshield special rule.
Keep up the good work though, love to see killteam content on my recommended page !

@@MiniatureGameMontage yeah also so many batrep channels do an overhead 2D viewpoint but that’s just so out of the action and not really fun to watch, the fact that you guys bring in that 3rd dimensional level by zooming around the map with the camera angles on all the areas of action is awesome
@@Orihutcherson oh man! I wish I had one of those tiny cameras that really gets down on the table. I’m all about immersion gameplay. The cinematic appeal of the games makes winning or losing not even matter.
Missing the stormshield a lot of the times in this series but very enjoyable none the less!
Why didn't the custodes with a shield parry at 14:49 ? Could've parried with a crit and discarded two hits due to stormshield and then killed nob right?
Probably. We miss things in the heat of battle. Always funny to see them afterwards.

Custodes REALLY need to bring SoS to have the action economy needed to compete with most teams. 4 slightly better Intercessors just isnt enough.

How do you find the Compendium teams? Interested in a lot of them but they are a bit basic.
I think Death Guard can by viable. Custodes I think are more sisters of silence builds. I think if you want to compete with compendium teams you’ll struggle.
Core rule book missions in the Era of Critical Ops? Also, deploying a melee custodes with a 6" rng shooting with engage? OKay...

I don't think that they throw the spears or Swords. I do belive that they have barrels that act as guns

perhaps 10 months too late, but you may have missed out on a benefit of the storm shield - double parry. "each time it parries, two of your opponent’s successful hits are discarded "
I doubt it would have changed the outcome, but I saw at least two opportunities to double parry.
Hopefully you're still playing kill team and will get some benefit from this.

13:20 the nob charges with conceal, but I don’t think he can still attack with a conceal? I could be wrong. Either way, he could have changed to engage and done the same thing
I don't think you need an engage order to fight. Just in engagement range.
before you play Custodes.. it may be worth the time to actually READ what they do
