Okay. Maps, Apollo moon program, photography physics. I have to confess, I'm geeking out too much to find this completely relaxing. But you're hitting some of my favorite topics, so I'm enjoying this completely. Keep it up!
Thanks Kyle, I appreciate that. I figure if I fail at the "ASMR/relaxation" mission, succeeding at the "let's talk about neat-o stuff" mission is a good Plan B! ;-) Thanks for being here.
I have no interest in maps. I know pretty much nothing about them and don't really care to. And that's why I love this video so much, it's extremely relaxing and on a topic that I PERSONALLY deem boring so I fall right asleep. More maps!
Glad to hear it's working for you! For more maps, check out the "Huge Atlas Collab" series that I'm working on with ASMRctica, Let's Find Out ASMR, and tingles with flyby. The first two episodes are out now, and third should drop tonight on flyby's channel. I host episode #4 next month. Just search on "huge atlas collab". Thanks!
Thanks for that! And of course you guys are worthy. Without you all to help build a community in these comment sections, this channel is just a bunch of me talking to myself. You help make this a place that people want to come back to, and I appreciate that deeply, because I can't do that job alone. Best to you.
Your first map video was my introduction to your channel. It's great to see yet another installment in the series. I hope you'll continue to make map videos a regular feature on your channel. The three you've posted so far have been excellent and very educational. Keep up the great work, like always. 👍
Louie! Thanks for the encouragement and support, man. Hard to say what the future holds, but if I can continue to come up with interesting map styles, and don’t start repeating myself, and if people keep watching, then we just might have to do this again sometime. ;-)
Absolutely amazing, I usually don't leave comments on asmr videos but I have to say I appreciate your work quick before I fall asleep! Keep up the great videos and amazing tingles and relaxation. I hope you know how many people you touch and relax everyday. Truly outstanding
Dylan, I really appreciate that you stopped by. Your comment made my day, seriously. So glad that you dig what I’m trying to do here across the dining room table. Take care.
Your videos are as stupendous as always. Can't wait to see what you do next! Any video involving you explaining a topic really gets me relaxed to be frank.
So glad to hear it, you Insensitive Hatemonger (ok, that's your screen name, so I'm cool ;-). I never really thought I'd visit this topic again after the first video, so I just hope that the follow-on vids are at least as relaxing/triggering as the first one. I certainly don't want them to be repeats of each other. Appreciate your support!
Got my coffee and bundled up in my toasty jammies & fuzzy slippers. Looking forward to a lovely hour and 17 mins. Know it's going to be full of fascinating facts and thoughts I'd never thought of before.
Most of the time I don't watch ASMR for sleep. Often I fullscreen a video on one of my monitors while doing something else on the computer just to unwind and 80 minutes listening to your voice and stories is a relaxed evening in my book!
I admit that it caused a few problems when I stopped paying attention to the flight plan so I could watch this, but everything turned out alright. I used your second map as a guide for where to make my emergency landing.
Very cool, thanks for letting me know. I still have cousins and a half-sister over there. I’ve only been there twice. I’d love to be able to take my kids there someday...
Great point, I think that technique would be fantastic with paintings. The creator would need to know a little about paintings, of course, which would be an issue with me, but the technique would be a great way to pull the view into a painting, for sure.
Ooh, I almost failed my college art history classes because I got tingles from having the professor simply explain the art slides. Careful what you wish for... But since this isn't for a grade, yes, I'm all for this idea.
Gaslamp ASMR I’ve always been a huge fan of maps. I can stare at them for hours. I went to pilot ground school and flew 5 times (once in a motorized hang glider and once in a hot air balloon, the rest in small planes. Learning about aviation charts was my very favorite thing!
I'm just seeing this, and I'm kinda freaking out a bit in anticipation. Just so you know, I have another account called Floofytown, that stupid blue face-clock thing, and I've written to you from there a bunch of times. So you may remember I'm a big fan of this incredible map series, and now very pleasantly surprised at a third installment. Have you commented on my whisper vids before? Is that why I floofytowned you before? Or was it a very strange coincidence that you happened on my Cactus channel? Or is my memory so bad that I forgot that you knew all this already?! Ha!
Yep, I knew all this already. ;-) You told me about your channel when we were trading comments, and I subbed back then. In fact, your comments then about the original whisper community inspired my approach on the “Pond in the Woods” video. But I hadn’t commented on your vids before you showed up here as Floofytown. Thanks so much for your comments on the map series! Very much appreciated.
Good lord, I'm sorry! I have a tendency to immediately lose all memory of online events...I've commented the same comment over and over, months or years apart, on several youtube vids without realizing it. Now I remember the whole thing though! I was trying to find our comment history to find where I exposed my other self, but missed that one long missive I wrote. I'm not sure if I've seen Pond in the Woods, but I will certainly go check it out now and love it!
No worries! I have a horrible memory too, but our conversation stood out to me. Please do let me know if you like Pond - I'm curious whether you think I captured the spirit of those whisper community days...
OH, I see. No, I can’t pull that off weekly, but I promise it will be more often than every 3.5 months! I will continue to set up the scheduled events ahead of time on the channel, and you never know abt surprise streams. 😉. Merry Christmas to you too!

when you spot your hometown on the map before falling asleep peacefully, you know it's a winner ;) thanks for the great vid xx
Wow, that's cool about your hometown. Thanks for the comment!

So great. A new favorite video i go to when I need to realax. Rewatched it several times, always helps me fall asleep. Thank you!
Thanks very much, I’m so glad you like it! I value your opinion, and appreciate your feedback. Best to you!

These are the best videos ever. So excited you did a THIRD one! We are not worthy.

Woo hoo! *Love* the map videos! Really liked the paired theme as well, the elevation one was particularly cool. Thanks for this!!
You're very welcome, Halcyonic!
That was a winner! Loved it and could see all the research you did to make this one. Many, many thumbs up!
Thanks very much!

I hope so, Phyllis. Great to see you, as always!
I loved this. So relaxing. Maps are awesome!
I agree! Thanks for the comment!
Dog woke me up to go out. We both did our thing, and came back to bed and saw this! Love retirement!
Retirement! I'm jealous. ;-) Enjoy the vid, Theresa!
I'm so excited to see another maps video that I doubt I'll be able to relax watching it!!!! >3
Well, I'm not sure how to help with that! ;-) Really hope you enjoy this one, though. Thanks for being here.
That 80 minutes just flew by! Such a great video...
Thanks KD! Hey wait, you mean you made it to the end? People never tell me that. ;-) Best to you.
Most of the time I don't watch ASMR for sleep. Often I fullscreen a video on one of my monitors while doing something else on the computer just to unwind and 80 minutes listening to your voice and stories is a relaxed evening in my book!
That’s great to know, KD, thanks for sharing that. :-)
All I want for Christmas is a video of you explaining something like the wild West or some other social science and/or history subject
Gotta talk to Santa about that, man! ;-)
This. Precisely.
Oh. My. God. I have not even started watching this yet, but work and everything else is going to stop for the next 77 minutes.
LOL. As long as you're not a surgeon, or a pilot, or a school bus driver, I guess this is fine. ;-)
I admit that it caused a few problems when I stopped paying attention to the flight plan so I could watch this, but everything turned out alright. I used your second map as a guide for where to make my emergency landing.
Excellent, glad to hear it. No harm, no foul. 😉
Can you bring a pocket watch or two for the live stream tomorrow?
That’s a great idea! Will do. See you then!
Wow, this really is a small world, can't believe you have family relations to Fürth. I live in Nürnberg. Greetings from Germany. Love your videos.
Very cool, thanks for letting me know. I still have cousins and a half-sister over there. I’ve only been there twice. I’d love to be able to take my kids there someday...
Great as always. Just an idea, but do you think the point and explain thing might be good with paintings?

Yay aviation charts!
Yay! Do you use them? Or just a fan? ✈️🗺

Is tonite live feed nite? As long as the Beats/Lions game is over! Go Bears! (I'm a Packers fan. Need Lions to lose!)
No, Theresa, that was a week ago. ;-) Shooting the new vid tonight hopefully!
I guess I was thinking it was a weekly thing! Looking forward to the new video! MERRY CHRISTMAS!
