Small jobs one at a time. That being said. I’m out of the big project game for sure. But live vicariously through you guys! Great work Marcos.
Thanks Bigfoot! I totally get it, doing a big project is a big undertaking and tough on other elements if life. Thanks for the support Sir! 🦶
Cool update....most people who take a car down to a shell never build the car back up again.... I've done it many times but there's always a few bugs to work out but that's were the fun comes in... And nothing beats being able to say I built that!! Any body can buy a car running and driving but only a real gearhead can have the satisfaction of building one! And that's an ultimate feeling.
Yes Sir!! Tough, but rewarding. Too many projects for sale on Facebook that people ripped down and stopped. I get it though, it is harder than I expected. No quitting though. 🤣 Thanks Moparnut!!
Very well put. I find it best to walk away when things are not going right, even with small projects. Then I try to remind myself that the journey can be as if not more fun than the destination.
Thanks Shane! Definitely good to take breaks when things are going wrong. Thanks for watching!
Good video, you spoke some real words about effort, frustration, and the amazing amount of work that is building a car. Those words should definitely not discourage anyone, they're just actualities about the car world... Dive in!!
Thanks Derek! Yes Sir, it is hard but worth it! Thanks for watching! 😃
Every small job completed is very satisfying, eventually you’ll step back and see it as one whole complete project and you’ve got a great story to tell. I recently replaced all my brake lines. Got them from Classic Industries everything fit perfect. You shouldn’t have any issues with brake lines for that master cylinder. If this was originally all drum brakes, you’ll need a different proportioning valve for disc/drum.
Thanks Acardiac! This one was front disc to begin with, so should be good from the proportional valve back. Yes, all those little steps add up! Just important not to stop. Slow is still progress. 👍
Aftermarket parts can drive a guy nuts!.. Cheap gas tank from Rock Auto, filler neck hole cut off center… Top notch brake and fuel hard lines from Classic Industries, spent hours tweaking to get them fit… never fails. Any time you can use, refurbish or get OEM parts, that’s the way to go.
Yes, it seems like buying parts only gets you half of the way there sometimes. Then you have to field fit it all. Part of the journey. Thanks for watching!
Just as a double check, the brake pushrod should have a rubber washer at the end that seats into the master cylinder, the rod should actually be hard to pull out of the master, this prevent the rod from coming back with the pedal and dropping down leaving you with zero brakes. Sucks about the steering, never seen that before. Car is looking great, it will be worth it in the end.
Hey Mike, yes thanks for checking on the seal. It is in place. I actually did a test fit and it was a pain in the butt to pull back out. It should be setup right. Thanks for the support Sir!!
You have created an awesome car! Inspirational videos. Keep plugging away. I’m looking forward to seeing videos of your finished project.
Thanks, I really appreciate that! Hopefully that day is coming soon! 😁
Keep going! Thanks for the update.
Thanks for watching and commenting Paul! I appreciate the support!
You're doing awesome Marco, keep moving thats all you can do, however small the step, its still a step :)
Hey Thomas, thanks for the support buddy!
Marcos, keep up the good work, and remember Rome wasn't built in a day either.
That's right, slow and steady wins the race. Thanks for the support Jeff! 👍
It's always a lot more work than is seems. Just don't rush it or you may end up doing things twice
Haha, I sometimes end up doing things three times. 🤣 Part of the learning curve. Thanks!
@@DustorBust Been there done that. 😂
Keep up the good hard work dude.
Thanks buddy! I appreciate the info on the manual brakes. 👵
