    The only Tory PM worth a damn for taking us into the EEC resulting in peace and nearly 50 years worth of economic prosperity - shame we threw it all away in 2016

      @ Mverlaine, Edward Heath was a traitor, he was a German Agent who got bribed to lie to the British people and illegally take us into the evil collective of the Nazi EU. The outfit, “ DVD “ operating out of Dachau Germany have infiltrated Britain at every level, with their scum agents, to destroy this Nation. God Almighty knows who they are, and they will get Gods judgement, unless they repent and seek Salvation

    The fact that people would rather side with Powell than Heath shows you how demented the country has become.

    What on earth is he talking about at 23:30 when he says we will have control over the sovereignty of the other member states? Is he referring to the veto which was diluted over the years by the introduction of QMV?

      No, the point is that the UK had a voice in the EEC's decisions. Now it has lost that voice.

    Funny, Heath opened his speech by talking about the EEC as being a guarantor of peace in Europe. He said exactly the same thing when I heard him speak in the 90s. My friend Jacob Rees-Mogg was sitting close by. Why then did lying leave repeatedly dismissed preserving the peace in Europe as one of the reasons the UK joined?

      The goal of the EU is a United States of Europe, it could end like Yugoslavia did, through violence and bloodshed. A third war in Europe and that is their peace in Europe.

      @Simon John Wow, you are able to read the mind of a man who has been dead for years and tell us the real intention behind his actions. You are also fully aware of the internal workings of the CIA! Perhaps you should go into the world of intelligence yourself.

    • @hallambaker
      @hallambaker 2 года назад

      @Simon John So now these US people know the mind of a British Prime Minister better than he did himself.
      Do you understand how utterly moronic that sounds?

      @Simon John the only traitors are the people who took money from Putin to find the leave campaign. Every one of them kompromized through pictures of a pedophile rape.

    I wish we had conservatives like him. The party right now is just a proto-fascist joke. Rejoining is going to be a major challenge, but it's a challenge we accept.
    Still, at least our mistake has helped to unite the rest of the continent. That's always good.

    Rhetorical tripe, sweeping generalisations and factual content NIL. A paltry speech in which he only sort to cover his own arse. The evolution of the European institutions since 1975 have simply proved what a complete liar, deceiver and hypocrite he was, and many others besides.
