I think if you had rotated the compressor 90 degrees it may have come out of that tight spot easier and without bending metal, have seen this done in other videos.
@@pauldirschka7052 me too! Eventually it came off and some little piece of plastic broke off, and when I reassembled it I had to put a twist tie around it to make sure it didn't come apart. But I still couldn't tell you how to get it apart the right way.

"So you unplug the plug ..." Gee thanks. That's the one thing I can't figure out how to do.
I got mine disconnected without breaking anything, but it was not clear if the tab needed to be pressed or whatever to release it.
