I wish coco wouldnt throw out these questions obviously used to set up a story the guest told in pre interview. Makes the whole thing feel artificial. Just use a different approach to segway to her story.
She manages to ALWAYS say something unexpected. Usually just whatever pops into her head. She has guts and incredible timing. Her cheshire cat smile is beautiful and fascinating. She is cunning, thinks very fast and is a comedic genius. She is NEVER boring!
She had a stroke when she was 20 or something. She recovered, but it messed her up a little in that she lost a lot of her self-awareness when she speaks. She'll just say stuff without considering it or how others will take it. Her fans love her for it, but it really wasn't a gimmick on her part. It was the result of a physical trauma.
The best part that line is that it CLEARLY wasn't prepared! There's no way she could have predicted that Andy would have compared her button to a baby tooth. She just heard baby tooth and blurted that out.
Um, she's an actress, and it's all part of her "act", buddy. Heck, you probably think Gilbert Gottfried had that crazy voice in real life too.....S MD H
I like that after all this time, Conan - Aubrey's late nite dad - has finally been able to acclimate to her personality and can just roll with her now lol.
She's the best. I work at some studios in West Hollywood and she was there shooting something for a while. She was the coolest person and talked to everyone. I even a caught the end of her rapping for a security guard... "something, something, BITCH!!!" as she got in his face and walked away. We were dying.

There are certain guests that are just meant to be on Conan's show more than any other- Will Ferrell, Bill Burr, Adam Sandler... Aubrey Plaza is for sure one of them.
Parks and Recreation had so many good, quirky characters. Sometimes they took it too far ...beyond believable at times, but overall what a great show! The Simpsons (which Conan worked on) also had strength in its great variety of characters and personalities.
Parks and Rec doesn't really have to be believable. When it comes to Andy and April, on the second half of the show you could sort of tell their characters were both half acting an exaggerated form of themselves to be less boring.
Conan is both a "perfect" ad lib comedian and host. He has non stop humor and knows how to read his guests. For example, he moved on quickly with humor when Aubrey said, "this isn't on that [interview]". Awesome host mindful of his "nice" guest.
I've been married to my second wife for 11 years. I asked my mother in law how my wife was when she was younger, in her 20s teens. My mother in law said, Do you know who April Lundgate is on a comedy Parks and Rec? I said sorta, she said "that" Hahahaha.
She’s so real for calling out that certain things aren’t part of the interview. We all know they are prepped for things like this and she set her limits
I like how proud she looks when she slices through the conversation with an awkward revelation like "My mom kept my baby teeth in her underwear drawer."

She plays the game within the entertainment business I love it it's her showing a middle finger I feel like to show business. She loves to hate it I feel and is still able to be whoever she wants. It's attractive in a sense that she doesn't let people she doesn't want to take advantage or control her. She shows her submissive side though to people she really likes and trusts. You can tell by all the interviews she has done she knows how to read someone within the first few moments of talking to them. She is extremely aware of the people in the business. I have a ton of respect for her and how she has grown as a person and an amazing actress.
It sucks because women are just now figuring out we find weirdness/awkwardness/nerdiness very attractive, and I feel like some of them do it on purpose. Not Aubrey. You can tell she's genuinely this way.
