    I think your Crucifixion theory is an excellent one. If any writer were to employ so subtle and complex in a short story, it would be Chekhov. His short stories - no matter how short - are always so amazingly jam-packed. Thanks for the chat. Loved it.

    Love to hear your discussions. Chekhov is one of my favorite writers, so I enjoy it even more. Maybe you've read it already... there is another short play from Chekhov, called "The Bear". Very, very funny one. 🐻

    The "which dog is better" argument was the 1800s version of "my dad can beat up your dad" argument...lol
