I’m always amazed that the snakes being attacked by snake eaters like the king almost never strike back.if you or I picked the gopher up we’d be bitten a hundred times, lol
At the end the gopher snake's head was totally buried in the king snake's coils. On another video of a snake strangling another snake like this, someone commented that it reminded him of his ex-wife's relentless head scissors. 😅
That’s because kingsnakes “squeeze” (constrict) with twice the force than other constrictors do (pound for pound) so even if it did construct back, it would have still been killed an eaten.
@@zorro8027 Gopher looks like longer than the King snake? Hard to eat something that has a longer body than the predator ? Snakes don't chew the food, just swallow! I've seen shorter snake try to swallow dead, longer snake (venom killed it), than regurgitate it back later.
szaki Its doesnt matter if the kingsnake is too small to eat it, what my point was is that PfP king snakes constrict with 2 times the force of other constrictors and are immune to the native venom, which is why they are called kingsnakes.
King snakes can constrict 2 as hard as any other snake.. The consrricting power is even better than that of an anaconda. Offcourse king snakes don't get as big. 3.5feet to 5feet average.
I am assuming that you filmed this entire encounter so why the hell didn’t you post it from beginning to end? We all know how it ended so why not show us? This is nothing more than clickbait… Thumbs down dude.
"Gopher snake" officially refers to the westernmost examples of the bull and pinesnake genus (Pituophis.) There are several types of gopher snake in the west. However, you are right in that the indigo snake sometimes goes by the colloquial name "gopher snake." This is because it likes to rest in the burrows of gopher tortoises in the southeast, who sometimes just get called "gopher" themselves for short.

May be that the instincts tell them that it's of no use biting King snakes as they are immune to other venomous snakes bites.
Good defensive skills of the gopher: always trying to keep its head away from the kingsnake's head.
Such a beautiful gopher snake. Wish I had that in my collection.
Gopher snakes don't tame very well in captivity. Kingsnakes do.
@@thomasromano9321 I have Sonoran gopher snakes are very handleable extremely good pets I recommend them for a lot of people
This looks like a herper video not a live captive bred feeding.
Wow great footage. Two beauties!
My grandpa always had a garden he would find a gopher snake he liked it as they would get gophers also kill rattle snakes.
Ya gopher or king snakes are great around barns for sure
Gopher snakes are awesome. I think I would’ve had to save that one. Let the king snake find a rattlesnake.
Never come in between nature. It's his meal now he earned it.
@@mariaguns8790 You are correct
Fake snake lover. Let the kingsnake eat.
Such an impressive windy fight!
in captivity you don't put anything, I mean anything, in with a kingsnake; it'll be gone a few hours later.
Reminds me of 1st meeting with my ex-wife's lawyer.
I'm the rat snake
Where's the rat snake?
Im the snake getting stroked by the other snake and thats Miley Cyrus on Molly

Y couldn't u keep recording it
Yeah, the video was too short, but, i enjoyed the little-bit i saw.
Well we didn't get to see him eat it
Believe me 99% sure he ate it.
The strategy attacking of the king snake is totally similar like the indigo Snake, it means the indigo snake is a cousin of king snake.
They're both colubrids...... if that tells you anything...... like milk snakes..... garter snakes.... bull snakes etc....etc...etc
No. The Indigo snake is not a constrictor.
King Cobra🐍: Finally a worthy opponent😎😎😎
Indigo, drymarchon king, lampropeltis. Indigo eats alive
Looks like a king eating a garter

Me too. I grew up around both kinds and like them both. Would have been gratifying to see him go after a rattler or something.
@@ted.angell7609 you can't bother the snakes. Let the kingsnake eat
What kind of potatoe did you film this with?
The sounds remind me of the intro to American horror storys.
They are both like the same size. How is he gonna eat it?
He'll just swallow it whole
Yum yum says the king snake..
Gopher is a squeezer type snake, surprise it didn't squeeze back the King snake to defend it's self?
Constrictor is the word you're looking for

It's detention even worse than detention in The Breakfast Club. .
what the hell was this guy filming with
A potatoe.
if king cobra came face to face with king snake what would happen..?? got any idea guys and girls
King cobra is much bigger than a kingsnake, and would likely kill it.
Yeah, not just about size. I dont think king snake can withstand the amount dose of king cobras venom for even a single bite.
King snake would destroy cobra

Gopher is a constrictor. I'm surprised it didn't strike the head of the king before the king went for his.
It was scared. It ain't stupid. It knows it's terribly outmuscled.

King snake wod kill
Yeah the king snake is resistent to the venom. So he would also eat a coral snake.
Kingsnakes are not immune to coral snake venom. So if a king were to be bitten by a coral snake, it would be in a bit of trouble.
