Lately I can tell that something ain't right I don't' see the fire when I look in your eyes One time up and the next time down This may be the last time that you'll see me around...said Well it sure seems to me nothing matter tonight And all those things we worked out They got lost in the fight It's not enough, girl, that I gave you my soul I just want to know if we've got Anything left at all, and I say [Chorus] Hold on now baby This could be the last time we stand This could be the last time that we say good-bye The picture shatters can't find the words to save it Tell me what to do how can I make it right? We will always be fire and ice Well promises made, in the heat of the night You could sure spit them out, girl But they've long passed me by Nobody knows about, the show you put me through This could be the last time that I get through to you [Chorus] Well I can't stand to see no more damage done but you'll never understand until you suffer some
Outstanding performance as always. One correction to the notes above. This isn't really an old Poison song. Instead, it's an old Richie Kotzen song that he offered them during his audition that they then recorded.

this is a typical yet phenomenal Kotzen riff....i just love this song...everything about it...what's not to like about it anyway? This an original Poison hit fro their album NATIVE TONGUE.
Wonju LEe They got 2 different types of voices, Bret is a baritone and Richie a tenor. Bret was perfectly fit for the 80's Poison songs and for his own country songs, and Richie for his own songs. Therefore either got a beautiful voice.
Richie is a legit multi dimensional musician. Voice, multi instrumentalist and songwriter. Poison would of been so much better with Kotzen as the lead singer and Brett Michaels rhythm guitar and backing vocals
Now I realize where John Mayer came from
Spot on, brother!
John Mayer can't hold Richie Kotzen's jockstrap
@@evalex71 Damn straight.
John Mayer is a hack
@@evalex71oh yes he can! I prefer Ritchie over John...but make no mistake...John Mayer has two brains that work simultaneously!!!!
Honestly, the best version of this song I've ever heard.
I’m fairly certain that this is the same take that he put in his essentials album
Richie Kotzen is the complete package
The best singer /songwiter/Guitar virtuoso ......to ever grace this planet
Zgadza się! Wyjątkowy talent!
El tipo lo hace todo bien🤟
Doesn't matter how far back you go. Kotzen was shining. We are the slow ones.
Thank you Mr. Kotzen, for this is a brilliant performance, and you didn't even need Rockket, Dall, or Michaels to pull it off.
I've been waiting years to hear Richie singing this song. Totally worth the wait!!!
That was f****** awesome! Alot of feel there.
My headache is gone, after listening to this Masterpiece, thanks a lot man!
If you play guitar, you can understand how difficult is playing this. Imagine sing over it. Brutal!
His job is like wine, he is getting better and better
Excellent!! Love it!!!
Richie is beyond amazing!
Richie is the absolute best hands down!!
bro respect. real song man
He is the best.
Thanks for sharing my cut of your video, Richie!
You're welcome.
Beautiful rendition of a classic.

No comparison to Brett's vocals...Richie's vocals are so much richer and soulful. Love this song and RK! There is no comparison
J Lo richie is a better singer and far superior guitar player.
MrAcidfast Absolutely!! No comparison
J Lo Bret has vocals?
@@jamesjaviermd I think almost everyone has superior vocals to Brett. Dude can’t sing.
Richie is one of the greats though, both guitar and vocals
Well most people know who Bret Michaels is. Who's this guy again? Lol jk. But Bret is much more successful than this giy
First time hearing this. Amazing!
Richie is the King.
Beautiful.
He is surely bad ass. Got some voice and guitar sound.yeah!
Mano, muito obrigado por ter subido esse video. Estava atrás dele há um tempão já. Muito obrigado mesmo!!
Valeu, meu camarada.
How good is this bloke? Love his guitar playing and voice
hate to say this but this is better than the original..wow!
this is the best!!!
The legend.
Incredible performance
ahhh ethereal!
Lo he visto tantas veces, y sigue siendo excelente

this one of my all time favorite,
This version of the song always
plays in my head when I get into an argument with my wife. Hahaha
Omg, my heart.. T_T
you got to love RK!
FUCKING excellent!!!!!!!
Outstanding performance as always. One correction to the notes above. This isn't really an old Poison song. Instead, it's an old Richie Kotzen song that he offered them during his audition that they then recorded.
Actually it was Stand but nevertheless, Native Tongue was and is Richie and the rest of the poison boys watching how music is made and played
To play and sing like that... no peer.
oooooaaaaaaaaaaaaaawesome.
I want him to play this song in The Winery Dogs
Um video tão simples, e cada vez que passo aqui acho mais foda!
Richie Kotzen seu fodão irei no seu show! haha =)
Good mother of God that run at 1:43 is so tasty its unreal!
yes

Awesome 🎸🤘👍
I imagine myself being in Poison playing guitar and thinking ... I can sing way better than Brett could ever dream ..
🥰🥰🥰👍👍👍
Waow!!!
Richie is The Best
how can this video only get 6k watchers ?
Guitar tab please
I think i love this version than the poison ( w/ him as background vocals )- reminiscing my high school days 😌😌😌
is he playing it in standard?
mmmmmmmhhh, like like like...excellent version
Evidentemente, quedo " Marcado a Fuego" por el Veneno. 🤔
this is a typical yet phenomenal Kotzen riff....i just love this song...everything about it...what's not to like about it anyway? This an original Poison hit fro their album NATIVE TONGUE.
well, Richie wrote this song
Amazing...great voice...great guitar player...but you do hear Chris Cornell and a little of Hall and Oates. Nevertheless...an amazing talent.
All I hear is Richie Kotzen😁😁
He’s almost like the second coming of Stevie Ray Vaughan
I like RK's version than with Poison . . . well . . .he was the one who wrote it.
Poison!!!!
Please, Richie was way too good for POISON. This is a Richie song, not a POS unskinny bop crap. Richie wrote this. All of it.
Richie sings way better than Bret Michaels!
Definitely, Bret michaels sound like karaoke box where as Richie sounds so original. You know he wrote this song haa
Wonju LEe

+Luca Albanese I respect that. You are correct sir
Oscar Vasquez It just shows that the songwriter knows how to sing his song best.....
Oscar Vasquez I think Richies guitar playing, backing voice and Bret's singing was Heaven sent
Me quedo con la agradable y dulce voz de Bret Michaels
Wow, his voice is great... he can sing the songs better than Bret M.
Richie sings better than Brat M even when he plays guitar
kotzen means to vomit in german
Same in Dutch.
But I couldn't feel better when I listen to this 😀
Gunny is what I named my dogs last poop....so there.
Excellent version, but Poison is better
Marcelo Andrade its a fact that all richie version is the best.
MrAcidfast In your opinion.
Richie Kotzen is the guitarist for poison and he actually wrote this song.
Ya poison was better with this guy
Too bad Yoko broke up the band
Richie is a legit multi dimensional musician. Voice, multi instrumentalist and songwriter. Poison would of been so much better with Kotzen as the lead singer and Brett Michaels rhythm guitar and backing vocals
