We've raised lambs and bottle feed them, they were a lot of hard work. They were a lot of fun though and will bond with the people who feed them, as you'd expect. Once they are off the bottles they typically go about there own business but if you are a source of treats, they'll never leave you alone and they will play with you too as much as a dog would, if not more. Sheep are constantly hungry.
I love the way lambs run, jump, and pounce in that springy kind of way, you just know that they're having fun doing that. They are so gentle and harmless, those animals wouldn't hurt an ant. And they do seem just as intelligent as dogs. Lambs and sheep should be pets and/or raised for their wool only. No more lamb and sheep slaughterhouses!!
Cute Pet Lamb Lives In New York City Apartment Winter weary New Yorkers have been given a timely reminder that Spring has finally sprung. Smokey Da Lamb is turning heads in some of the city’s coolest neighbourhoods after chef Sandy Dee Hall, 34, and his girlfriend Maxine Cher, 24, adopted him. Smokey was born at Violet Hill Farm in upstate New York but was abandoned by his mother and would have likely died in the cold. Fortunately Sandy agreed to take him in when contacted by the farmer and Smokey was smuggled into his tiny apartment in the city’s Lower East Side. Smokey is bottle-fed three times a day and needs to be burped like a baby after he has had his formula. He needs regular baths and can only be washed with water so his fleece does not shrink.
So cool! And cuddly and adorable. I hope u get to be his "parents" for a long life. He looked perfectly happy and not missing a thing to me. Happy Easter to u and Smokey.
What a wonderful animal. I love lambs and sheep. I don't understand why NY authorities make it illegal to have a pet lamb. I do understand though if they'd tell her to keep the lamb on a leash, I'm kinda surprised she didn't walking around such a huge city where it'll be so easy for the lamb to run off and become lost. But I totally share her enthusiasm on having a lamb. I want to adopt a couple of lambs one day. They are such pure, playful, loving, peaceful little animals
Raising a lamb in a small apartment in an urban area doesn't make any sense though. Once sheep get older, they need a lot more space and a city is not a viable option. If you're gonna raise a sheep, you need to at least have access to a large pasture. You also need to have 4-5 other sheep so that they can socialise with each other and develop normally. It makes sense why it's illegal to have them as pets in NY.
Mummy: "Awwwww look lamby is adopted by human so when he goes to farm they don't kill him" Child: "but what happens to the other sheep mummy?" Me: " they die because humans are not attached to them. This one is lucky. The rest ends up on a dinner plate like your mums." Welcome to the sick world we live in kid!
Being an animal rights advocate please don't let that lamb go to slaughter now that it is a pet. Please Don't buy real fur, animals are brutally killed for it.
Fuck off you extremist. People are going to do what they want, what pleaseS them etc. and you have no right to shame them or tell them what to do. You and your fucking animal rights shit acting like a cult of SHIT.
I can't wait to have my own house one day. I want a lamb, a cow, and some parrots. and chickens. and a few German Shepherds to help protect all the animals... 😎😅😇😍 dream come true. my parents say I should go live in a zoo. loll.
This is so sweet, more people should have pet lambs and sheep. I'm not sure about in NYC though, and a house with a back yard and grass is a more suitable place for a sheep than an apartment. But I don't think that the house has to only be in the country, a house in the suburbs of a city can be just as suitable. Maybe this guy and girl could've kept the lamb and raised him to sheephood and bought a house in New Rochelle or something, so they could still get to Manhattan whenever they wanted and had a house with a backyard and sheep to come home to
has no one thought about what the hell they're going to do in a few years once that thing is the size of a loveseat? i'm pretty sure you shouldn't keep a grown sheep in an apartment
David Wells At the end of the video she says the lamb is going to live on a farm. When they say adopt they mean they'll pay for his care and make sure he isn't slaughtered.
Ohhhh...this entire house must have been caught up in a tornado (think Dorothy and Toto) and landed smack in the middle of an onion field cause my eyes are running over with tears...I couldn't believe you weren't telling MY STORY here...I also adopted a three day old baby lamb that had been rejected by his mother and the owner had found him nearly frozen by his little self curled up in a corner of the pasture. The first four days I had Andi B. I had to use an eye dropper to feed him cause he was unable to use a bottle. He lived in my home with me til he was five months cause it was to cold for him to be outside and he was too little (You can put a diaper on them. Just need to cut out a small hole for their tail). That little guy was my BABY. Loved him soooo much. A month before his second birthday, I woke up to my dogs barking non-stop outside in the yard. When I went out there, I discovered two wild dogs had jumped my fence during the night (I lived on a 21/2 acre ranch in the desert) and they had killed my precious little Andi B. It just absolutely devastated me. To this day, I still cry from missing him so very much (as I am now). Thanks for sharing your story. He is just so precious and it's touching to see that this little guy knows he is so loved! Andi B. would do the same bouncey jumps and leaps. LOVED seeing your little one doing that. It is beyond adorable! !
I use to have a lamb named Gus that would run around the house and walk on a leash. until one day the vet accidentally killed him while he was getting fixed. I miss my best friend he being smiles to the neighbors and loved us all. but he's in a better place now. but I'm in heartbreak
I have a lamb and brought it into Boise and same story but we get like ten lambs a year to raise it's actually really easy to care for one and they do get really well trained
He’s so well trained he doesn’t even need a leash🤦🏼♀️ all bottle baby’s follow you they think you’re there mom when they get old they will probably need a halter collar or harness
There really isn't enough appreciation for sheep in general. It's an animal that has given us so much for millennia, and they are cute animals, even as adults. Though yeah, not the type of domesticated animal you can keep in an apartment lol It's a shame they can't be as manageable as a dog or a cat
Glad he is going to the farm...and maybe to a petting zoo..but I did not like those people smoking around him even though they loved him and took care of him. Smoking around pets is NOT GOOD. Let alone smoking around humans.
Please, please, please put that adorable lamb on a leash, because a noise will spook your lamb and it might run into the street. It is not cruel. They are like little children, and you would never want any harm. Please. My grandma had a pet goat that lived in her home. One day grandma went to visit her friend, and of course took the goat. Left the goat in her car with leather interior. Grandma came back to the car and the goat ate the interior leather. Guess grandma should have taken the goat. You can not trust animals, because they do not have a judgement like an adult. God bless you for your kindness.

A man once had a pet lamb in the bible, he loved it like a daughter! :)
that little guy is so adorable, it melt my heart. Thanks for being so sweet and loving to the lamb (the most melow animal inthe world).
So sweet ...and I love the ending too ... adopt him & let him live out his years out on the open green pastures of that Upstate New York farm.
You took on a hard mission, with the apartment and such. Hope you'd follow through and ensure now that he trusted you he'll never be eaten. Good job.
PLOT TWIST : - Will have that for Dinner when it grows up LOL
Really?? This lamb is so cute and precious and all people can think about is fucking food? Simpletons...
How does he shrink if you wash him with soap? 🧼
Smoking on the lamb's frontface? You are crazy dude.

+Monica Rothbeck yes continue your positive efforts. Thank you
+Dialysistechnicians WorldWide Thanks......we always get alot of off the wall comments, but that's part of animal rights.

This the best pet ever, when they come of age you don’t need to fear them dying cause you can always eat them
They could always sheer their pet lamb's wool and knit some sweaters, scarves, and gloves to make extra money.
No entiendo lo que dicen pero si entiendo que la ovejita es parte de su familia
those who think soap will make your sheep "shrink" (@1:45) are not better than those who think "milk comes from a grocery store"
Bathe him Woolite! It works for my wool and mohair sweaters 😆
Thank you !

Now I feel like playing Goat Simulator.
Please keep your animals on a leash in NYC, for their own safety.
only a city slicker from NY would think a lamb was unique. LOL
a Lamb is a unique pet for someone to own in the middle of NYC yes.
They should walk him down Broadway at least once. I hear it's a nice place for them to lie down.
Why her or his name is smoky
Beucase they smoke
