Hello! I have not tried both switches you mentioned, Im unable to share my views. Based on my exp with pc plate, they tend to dampen/mute sound, and tends to sound deeper vs plates! 😃
Your mic placement across the test is inconsistent. Might want to redo all the test with similar test conditions.
