I did use the gun unironically on my first playthrough recently... but it was with other guns, I wasn't mad enough to actually use it through the whole game. What a commendable achievement. As for that hole in the Warrior fight, I too got killed by it, but it was after the fight without me having died to the boss at all.
Seeing how many times those crystalisks scored hole-in-one was truly painful. Don't know if you intentionally ignored their projectiles for some comedic value or not, but they can be destroyed with gunfire, Scorn orb or teslas
To be honest, if i ever try this challenge for myself i would exclude the rules with the no use of car or random weapon to go faster as i would have no patience to deal with that movemeny

There is a shield that you can get that also slows down your movement speed. Idk what it's called but I picked it up in the mercenary day headhunter pack. You should have done that shield and the bane together!
Yeah that’s the Fabled Tortoise Shield. I tested it out and it looks like if your holding the bane your movement speed will always be Bane speed. I tried to use Maya’s fleet skill that gives a speed boost too but The Bane just overrides any movement speed changes. I would have totally did that though if it worked!
@@LilGasmask Wow so not only did they make it so you can't turn off the stupid screaming without killing the games volume but took away what would make it useable. I have no words i know the bain is supposed to be bad but the quest they make you do to get it is way to long for this piece of work.
@@LilGasmask it actually does work, you just need to keep the shield depleted... which defeats the purpose of having a shield, and keeping it depleted below UVHM is kind of hard. but it works, I have done runs with it.. it's not a fun time, but it's way better than doing it without, because it doesn't take a year to get to sanctuary 🤣
there’s a little bug, where if you equip the Bane, then spam-switch between the Bane and another gun (I like to keep SMGs on the right on d-pad, then switch to a pistol down on the d-pad) quickly, you’ll hear the Bane’s voicelines on other guns I used to randomly join public games, and do exactly that, often

I had alot of issues with the Bloodwing fight when I was going through UVHM again recently, then I found out that if you crouch behind the boxes on the left side of the arena(close to where you jump down), you can completely negate her "divebomb" attacks. Don't know what to do when she drops projectiles in your bane run though.. :/ But yeah, that fight's bs. At least tell the player they can hide behind the containers to avoid damage. Amazing dedication. Well done.
My friend once dual weilded the bane for 30min, even when he was on the opposite side of the map I heard the screams and I could still vaguely hear it when I had my headset off… So this video looks like hell itself if my brief experience was anything to go by.
I remember how I finished the quest and got bane, got excited because of it's stats, equipped it and... sold it after a minute and never ever touched again
I’m happy to say for gas mask there is a minor loophole to this challenge he said no cars or holding other guns for speed he didn’t say anything about being unarmed for speed :)
At least, this wasn't a run with a full team of players with Banes AND Hoplite shields. Pretty sure the heat death of the universe would have occurred before you even got one percent through the game. :P
