I was disappointed with TPS at launch, but with many years of replaying BL1, 2, and TPS I’ve found that it delivered a great experience that is worth revisiting.
It's not great if you love farming loot considering there's very little farmable enemies with dedicated loot drops that aren't one time kills. Story is... well... Zarpedon is boring but at least she was present and a threat unlike Commandant Steele in BL1.
A lot of hate came from fhe fact the game was filled with aussie humour which is hilarious because aussie humour is great and it actually made the characters less cringy and fell more like actual people
TPS is maybe my favorite borderlands game so it's really nice to see it. whenever i play the others I really miss the verticality of oz kits, very much wish they'd put some sort of super jump in bl3.
@wojtektroll2795 I disagree, I really liked the Fl4k the beastmaster, he was fun as hell to experiment builds with. Amara's siren was pretty cool too but Maya was still the best Siren by far imo. TPS definitely had a good roster though and playing as Handsome Jack was fun as hell
@wojtektroll2795 Yeah for sure. The Bl3 villains were atrocious but the gameplay was far superior to the other games with the new parkour mechanics and weapon types. The Handsome Jackpot DLC made up for the terrible main story alone. All the DLCs for Bl3 are amazing so I recommend buying the game with all the DLC otherwise you might be disappointed from the underwhelming villains

Here is a Challenge, Can you beat Borderlands 2 and all its DLC Content (Mainly the DLC Campaigns and Headhunters DLC) with only the very first weapon you get in the game, the Basic Repeater?
Think my take on it would be something like using the one you get in TVHM and beating TVHM for more challenge. It sucks you can’t get a legit one in UVHM or OP levels because you skip the first mission otherwise ide do it in OP10

I used to DESPISE this game, but in the past 3 yrs I’ve grown to actually like it more. It’s like fine tier for me now, but I really wish the game got all of its dlcs, because the claptastic voyage dlc is like 50% of the reason I even would play the game. And better farms and endgame could actually make this game amazing and it’s sad it ended up the way that it did. I feel the game aged well as heck it’s one of my favorites just because of how unique and fun it feels I try my best to look at it more like fam service I mean playing jack, claptrap, Athena, wilhelm. Having a whole dlc dedicated to claptrap. Heck playing Athena with a gunless run is the most fun I ever had playing borderlands.
In contrast to BL2, do you think it would work to do a Grog Nozzle playthrough only for borderlands 2? Would that be challenging enough for you signature masochistic game style? The grog would make death difficult with the healing, but it's also doesn't really do any damage... It would be like your funny sketch in the Captain Blade. "I shoot the enemies; we both die." It would be like "I shoot the enemies; and neither of us die."
RedBelly is one of the toughest bosses in the game for Nisha since you don't have any way to activate kill skills... unless you leave enemies behind and toss a few homin Bonus Package nades toward the door to proc kill skills while entering the arena. I use this same tech to speedkill Iwajira in 4 seconds with the Fridgia two fer Luck Cannon combo.
Melee Jack sounds awful for the beginning, not sure how the DPS with only one probe would be, and the clone action skill seems like it would do all the work. Your probably right it might be easier but I think Nisha brought a good ratio of pros and cons.

A actually pretty liked the Presequal, especially the ClapTrap DLC^^ I still I only have 28 hours in it (for reference, BL2: 258h, BL3: 237h) and I kinda forgot about this weapon ;P also: for better innuendos, I think you should have a probe which is one level under your level ;P
Claptrap has an action skill that could theoretically do it alone so if I did do it as Claptrap I would prolly not use some of the action skills if I could to make it fair.
Something I realized. You always see retrospective videos talking about what went wrong with what game. Like how Mass Effect Andromeda is still used as an example of a bad game. I don't think I have seen a video on what 2K Australia did wrong with BTPS. I've seen plenty on what went wrong with BL3. But that's it.
Honestly I like TPS but it felt more like a DLC for Borderlands 2. I think most of the gripe comes from lack of endgame content and the new stuff they introduced was a little lack luster. I thought the story was fine.

While I think the story was better, I don't enjoy replaying it over and over again. Same issue as with BL3. I do remember that there was a leak some years back. That there was a DLC planned that got canned due to the low sales or low playerbase. But was gonna be on a Space Cruise ship. Does suck that was all we got.

@@LilGasmask It's pretty much the same story as Fallout:New Vegas, Batman: Arkham Origins and Saint's Row 4 where it was popular series got new installments that reused much of the assets of previous titles. Tiny Tina's wonderlands is doing pretty much the same thing.
@@exilestudios9546 Kind of. The reason we got the headhunter packs was that Gearbox was running out of memory for full on expansions like the previous DLC too. So instead Take Two asked Gearbox to work with 2K Australia which did the bulk of the development on The Pre-Sequel. IIRC the only Borderlands 2 DLC that Gearbox didn't outsource the bulk of the development on was Assault on Dragon Keep.

BL:TPS has done more for me than BL3 ever will. I laughed during the TPS story. I was actually amazed at the twist halfway through. The combat is BL2 but with lasers and butt slamming. Claptrap DLC is better than most of BL3's DLC. It's got faults for sure but TPS was far more enjoyable than BL3 to me.
The only thing I don’t 100% agree on. I loved the pre-sequel for its story alone. Maps are repetitive. The only vault Hunter that interested me was Aurelia and only because I love Cryo. But I love the story
Aside from some of the dumb quests this is a pretty good game. The Felicity segment is....not a high point and the scientist quests absolutely sucked ass but other than that it was pretty solid.
I’ve only played as claptrap a little, Athena a little, and a full play through as jack’s double I did not know she could dual wield pistols. I looked into her skill tree. I will be playing her next time I play TPS lol. If you have any suggestions for like, optimal jakobs pistols to farm for, I’m all ears

Honestly, TPS isn’t that bad. I really do find the game to be fun and I think the Clap-tastic DLC is one of the better Borderlands DLCs.

Yeah farming legendarys in TPS is wierd because there aren’t a lot of designated drop locations. Make the grinder the main way to farm legendaries.
