what is the point in using that Relay for ECU ? If the yaw sensor gets disconnected from power it stops sending signals to ECU anyway, doesn't it ? Am I missing something ?
That's what I'm trying to figure out before I start cutting harness. Like I really wonder what the point of it... I thought you just cut the yaw wire and add a switch boom 100% ready. Now pin 101 so shouldn't I just make two switches?

I own a Base Model 350z (NO YAW Sensor) So if I cut pin 101, do I still Need to add the relay still or just an ON/OFF Switch running 2 wires to pin 101 in ECU ??
Needed this video, bc I just got my g35 diff welded and I have been opening the hood and pulling this gray plug to turn traction control and it is annoying have to stop turn off the car to plug it in or out whenever I want to slide
Just to make sure, the wires coming from the ECU are the same right? The relay bridges both ends of the wire going to pin 101? And do you have an update, I keep reading on the forum that some people start having problems with their yaw sensor and the light no going out (I’m guessing they just installed a switch without they relay).
works fine the only reason their light won't go away is because once the yaw sensor doesn't get power for a certain amount of time the ecu think it's broken so it will throw all the lights on.
Serious question: turning off the traction control still leaves 30%. Doing this, would it improve our acceleration too due to not having the 30% limitation on torque?
if your traction control was kicking then yes it would not cut power which means more power to the wheel but that would only kick in if you were losing traction which means your back wheels are spinning

@@trumpetvq4453 Thanks man. Took a while to even find the right wires and what not. Yes it will cut everything off. The switch cuts power to EVERYTHING driver assist related. 🙌🏾
@@trumpetvq4453 yeah i have my yaw unplugged completely and it doesnt seem to affect the ABS but after putting on a GKTech angle kit with the rack properly centered a alignment and resetting the steering angle sensor on turns it will randomly engage the ABS and throw the slip light. So thats why ive left my Yaw sensor unplugged and its been fine with that. was just curious if you had any G35s with angle kit, thanks for the response
That's usually a mechanical problem. Something to do with the window regulator most likely. Look to replace them or check to ensure the window hasn't slipped off the guide a bit. Other than that, good luck friend.
I’ve just done this exactly how you have and triple checked I cut the right wires and made sure to disconnect battery before starting and now it just cranks and won’t start any ideas? Thanks
make sure your ecu is plugged back in properly. also connect the pin 101 back and see if it would start, there is a change the wire you cut is the wrong one coz different year might have different colour

Hey so I asked a mechanic for a wuote on how much this would cost to install since I’m terrible with anything diy and he said “I will use a better quality relay and switch and an actual connector pigtail and soldered connections for the relay. With parts and supplies it looks to be around $500 estimated.” Does that sound like a good price ? $500 is a lot for me but I really want this switch
i did disconnect the battery and disconnect the whole ecu because mot much room down there nothing will go wrong bro coz the ecu won't have power just make sure u cut the right wire

My 04 g35 was also pink with blue stripe. I first did it with the blue and orange and it did not work. Pink and blue 04 g35.
So I’m not the only one who’s isn’t the blue and orange wire cause I followed this to the T and my abs is fine hahaha

if you don't have yaw sensor all you need will be a switch connect to pin101

I'm not sure if I missed you saying it or not but what gauge wire do you use or do you know what gauge the oem wiring uses?
I used some random left over wires they are pretty thick tho.

I never had a angle kit but i don't think the switch would effect how ABS work. It could be you angle kit?

not with this switch mod coz normally you leave the vdc on so shouldn't have check engine light issue

hum i think u can but depends on where your relay is, you might have to run really long wire.
