I believe the difference between the pre facelift and facelifted rear bumper is in the lower garnish piece. The facelift garnish flares out which is why there is stress on the lip.

my 350z doesnt shift well after cold starts. around 5 mins idle helps it lube the trans and its ready to go. then driving slowly after starting the car helps too

Be careful doing this, some motors have freeze plugs on the end of the crank and it’s a good way to push that out!! Check your motor first.

We do not use power steering fluid! Use transmission fluid again do not use power steering fluid

HEADS UP! Do not use this oil as he said it has friction editors which should not be used in any of the CD VQ trannys due to the synchros having a copper coating that will be eaten by these extra friction modifiers and cause synchros to rust over time. U can use this for the diff not the tranny!

just tried this on my 2008 350z after trying many other tips but the light continues to flash. 2.2 ohm @ 0.25 watts

The valve seals are gone, happened to my old motor. Not a massive deal really if it's just a track car, just need to keep up on oil changes after track days.

Thanks for posting this. After 21 years I think I was a bit overdue to change my power steering fluid for the first time on my 2003 g35. I used a similar method, but I’d like to share a few additional tips to save time and make the job a bit less messy. I used the same method to disconnect the return line from the reservoir after first emptying the old fluid using an oil pump assembly that normally screws into the top of an oil can. Using a hand pump really let me get the vast majority of the old fluid out also by tilting the reservoir to one side after sliding it off its bracket assembly. To make a little more space to work, it is very easy to remove one screw holding the coolant reservoir and then slide the whole reservoir up and move it toward the radiator temporarily (without disconnecting any of the coolant lines). Next, instead of running a makeshift funnel down through the engine compartment, and below the splash guard, it was really easy to just take a one quart empty plastic oil bottle and pop it onto the disconnected return line for the power steering fluid, bending the hose down slightly, and place the quart/liter bottle as the receptacle for the power steering fluid coming up through the return line. The receptacle for the fluid could basically sit in the same space as the coolant reservoir normally sits. Using this method, it was really not even necessary to jack up the car at all as everything could be done from the top side looking into the engine bay. All the other steps were the same. No messy dripping, and no jacking the car, no removal of splash guard.

I hope this works my g35 got the same damage but a little worse and behind the tail light as well
