- This video demonstrates the Garmin 93SV UHD sonar settings for ZOOM functions available. The ZOOM functions give a variety of ways to magnify structure, cover and fish on the screen. Functions include, auto, manual, magnify, bottom lock.

In general, the TI units are faster in response to inputs. This is seen when quickly switching between sonar, downscan, chart, and split screens ruclips.net/user/postUgkxeAxH15LxhjGlg5-CRYqjTGTEH0tbY4vk recommend The Hook units will show some lag on button pushes and screen switching. The big ticket item though is maps. If you install a mapping card such as Navionics or the free C-Map Genesis which has a lot of map detail, then moving around the map with the cursor or when running down the lake can lag significantly on the Hook units, but is seamless with the TI units.

Purchased this unit. My first non-flasher unit. Been messing with it on the bench. Still 2 ft of ice here. Had not tried the magnify. Thank you very helpful!!
That’s great, there’s plenty of videos in the Garmin sonar series playlist for you to play with on the bench in simulator mode. Definitely view the “master waypoints” video. Myself and others have been confused on how to mark a waypoint on the screen instead of the boat position

Does a 92sv come with Europe lake maps?
@@DoubleTFishing I fishing for pike, walleye and persh, mostly pelagic on my kayak. No, the device is delivered without a card. I fish for very small fresh water leaks. The small lakes are not shown on the bluechart maps. I will create a map myself with quickdraw.
Very nice, my local lake has walleye, bass, and crappie. Good luck with the new Garmin. Setting the transducer helps the picture quality and accuracy pretty good video in the Garmin playlist

Also check out “Fish the Moment” channel. Johnny does some great in depth sidevu videos but most are using hummingbird. But he explains the concept and how to read it very well.

Thank you awesome content. What gets me is that even on simulator the transducer is still clicking away, and I’ve heard a transducer out of water can fry the transducer. I tried on simulator and stop sonar transmit and it stops the screen level pause sonar it stops the screen
I heard that also, I did damage an internal transducer on my minn Kota but that was from running chirp and it wasn’t rated for the wattage. Still works but made a big mess inside the motor. You can run simulator with the transducer disconnected if your planning to run it for awhile out of the water. I’m guilty of not turning it off with the trolling motor stowed while running down the lake 😂. Thanks for the comment, have a great day!!!

Thank you for pointing that out, when I first started making videos a few months ago I made an honest attempt to address the audience as gender neutral but fell away from it quickly as I became more comfortable behind the camera and my natural dialog rose to the top. Great video and great info. Just got mine installed so I haven’t even turned it on. The week I got it back from Bass Pro doing the install we went in to the deep freeze in Texas. I am sure mine will need an initial update. Question, how do you download the updates. Thru Bluetooth??
Actually you use the Wifi on your phone or slip the SD card in your computer. It can take 1/2 hour or so depending on the update. The waypoint transfer and google earth pro videos have a demonstration of phone communication. Good luck!! Thanks for the comment!!!
I’m enjoying your content and learning a lot how to use my 93sv unit better. I want to play in simulation mode. Any ideas how to power the unit when separated from boat and cradle? Our boat is. In storage across the country and I have the unit with me.

Go into your Home Screen menu and find “units” I’m out of town so I don’t know exactly but it will allow you to change it there

Does this work in livescope the colors and zoom??
I don’t know, I haven’t invested in the live scope package. From what I’ve seen on other videos I’ve only seen just one color and I’ve only seen guys pan in and out but there might be a zoom function. Miliken fishing is dropping a video on the monster bass they pulled out of OH Ivie in Texas last week. He uses the live scope and might have some details on how to use it. I had the moss and the other colors shown on the water. I’m not sure what’s going on. When you go into sidevu or clearvu screen / menu / sonar / color scheme they are not there? You might try going back to the main screen touch ActiveCaptain and make sure it’s not asking to review the latest download? Other than that all I know to do is run the software update again. We did well, the Texas panhandle is on the SPP power grid not ERCOT so we didn’t loose power. Some of our family near Houston had it rough for a few days. It’s hard to watch millions without power or water for days.

We are used to cold up here but not below freezing for 9 days. I was hoping the water temps would rise, I’m sure the walleye are confused with lots of daylight but only mid 30’s water temp
