To anyone thats trying this on a laptop before you try this, try doing a static discharge which is basically disconnecting your battery from your device and then reconnecting it. this could be done from your bios or just by pressing your power button for 30 seconds. look it up and try it according to your device.
I couldn't take my battery out but I did unplug all my ports and held down my laptops power button until it shutdown itself then turned it back on, that seemed to work for me. Thank you.
Same here but I found a solution by not choosing the "USB Root Hub (USB 3.0)". I instead chose "USB Composite Device". Uninstall one of them. Restart the PC and directly after pull out all USB connected cables. When my PC restarted I came to some message warning about no keyboard connected but that warning went away by itself pretty quick. When the PC was back on I replugged all my USB connected cables such as mouse and keyboard and found out that every USB-port now miraculously worked!!! I hope it works for more people than me!

Appreciate the help. My issue is driving me absolutely insane. Have a Lenovo Legion 5 with 2 USB-C ports on the left side. Both stopped working after working fine for weeks. Found a new Bios update. Installed and they started working again so I thought it was fixed. Then one week later both USB-C ports stop working completely. Tried everything in every video and nothing is working. It's like they don't exist. Drivers are updated & reinstalled, power options are optimal, bios is the most recent. Thinking it's finally time to return the laotop but I really don't want to do that. Very frustrating.
@@kaiden9415 I wish man, I gave up on it for now. Have until December to return it just hoping something patches it before then. Crazy that they worked fine after updating the BIOS then crapped out again.

Tried everething from this video and did a lot more that it(updated drivers, troubleshoot, safe mode, etc.) and it did not work. But i still managed to fix it. For me this problem did not appear from nowhere. One of my USB ports stopped working after i connected USB phone cable, which caused an erorr in Windows. After that, everything that i connected to the same port were powered(rgb lighting on mouse/headset) but did not appear anywhere on PC and did not work. I solved this problem by reconnecting the same cable and deleting it with Device Manager. This somehow fixed everything
@bibowho17 Do you have this issue on multiple USB ports or only on one of them? If this issue occurred only on one of the USB ports, do you remember what devices you have connected to this port previously? Are there any USB devices/cables that were working poorly?
