@@adey126The Sims 2 also has some egregious eyesores. I'm thinking of a specific Desiderata Valley house right now but boy oh boy there's a few others as as well. they can get rough 😭
I wonder why EA never just invited players to help with builds. That starter home looks like it was built by some executive's kid on Bring Your Kids to Work Day. 🤣 Great job, by the way. You knocked the art deco look out of the park.
Thank you so much!! And right!? I’m sure many simmers would’ve loved the offer!! They do it now for Sims 4 packs, but they should’ve started it back then!!
Stairs without a railing really bug me. Logically I know that the sims aren’t going to walk into the hole and fall down the stairwell, but it just doesn’t look safe.
They had to leave it like that, in order not to make new players depressed about building their very first house - "Omg, my house is better than the default EA one!" 😅 Great channel by the way, keep up the good work! 🍀
I’m a sims4 player so I rarely watch sims3 content but this video popped up in my suggestions and I’m so glad it did! You are a breath of fresh air and i LOVE what you did with this house , Well done!
I might be wrong, but spiral staircases are more expensive than regular ones, so I usually get rid of them if I'm trying to save money (sometimes hard when there isn't much space!). I don't know how I'd play without Create a Style - you made the wallpaper look SO much better!
You get a bit more money back if you delete the floors and wall paper before you paint them. It’s a dollar or two per tile but it adds up fast. And I always use the cheapest tile wall for wall paper when I start out. CAS can make it all pretty. 😊 😊
I used to don't give a st about the houses I just wanted to play as a kid, now, as an adult, I enjoy to decorate and update the worlds and homes, such a fun activity for me now lmao
Roaring Heights map is set in the art deco era, which lasted until the 50's, you don't need to do an upper-class design for a starter home. You would've had more money if you focused on a lower-classed homes. Print furniture, floral wallpaper, dark wood tones, and tiled flooring. CAS could've been used more to make the base game furniture better. I would've swapped out that shower for a bath-tub. The outside of the house was well-done.
I love Roaring Heights but as soon as you showed that house I remembered my reaction to buying it for my Sim lol the horror!!! It was so cute on the outside.
This video is so relaxing, you have a very palatable voice. I prefer to build in more antiquated styles myself and this video brought a smile to my face :) love the wallpaper and wood furniture. Surprised they made this house so open floor as in my experience older houses tend to be more boxed off with individual rooms instead of open spaces. Not sure if art deco is an exception though. Also, maybe green would have looked cool in the kitchen as well? May have tied it in with the plants in the living room. Fantastic job either way!!
ea-built houses usually are sooo sloppily built :/ i remember looking into one of pre-made ts4 get famous houses,,, some of the walls didn't even have paint lmao
Me screaming at the screen "Sink" Cj in the kitchen 😂. But I love that design in the bathroom for the title that was nice. You did a great job renovating this house 🥰.
Roaring Heights is my most favorite world, & I agree I don't like many of the starter homes because they're bare & had weird layouts 😅 Also, I think the 1st plant you used came from Jazz Age set Overall, I love what you did with the whole house, it's so pretty 😍
If I'm not wrong the problem with the stairs glitching can be fixed by just clicking it and placing it back I haven't played ina while but omg I used to hate when that would happen with stairs and windows😭😭
I kinda like it. It makes you want to move in and make the house pretty. What I don't like is how much money you have to spend on the game to make it entertaining (packs are too small)
It's built like they definitely didn't finish it haha. But where they said let's get creative is with the diagonal turned spiral stairs, they said eat it uppp 💅🏻💅🏻
I can tell you have an amazing personality just how friendly your voice is, was looking for something to just listen to while I worked and let me tell you, Attention was grabs, maintained, and well worth the sub!
I really liked roaring heights but i kinda struggled a lot with how clashing the old time style outfits are with the rest of the game so i would genuinely go changing everyones outfits befor i begin playing
I am so sorry… I love this house 😂 It’s got a lovely art deco exterior, great long narrow shape, a nice yard, and two story starter houses are so rare. It’s definitely a fixer upper but it’s a great starter.
At least it's more justified in this game for the devs to be lazy considering the amount of lots per world, there's no excuse for the sims 4 to have 4 lot worlds and still forget to put doors or toilets in the builds
i think the stair thing is just a visual glitch. i've gotten it a few times on my old computer and it didn't affect gameplay from what i can tell. i also don't know how to get rid of it. i just sort of hoped it would go away on its own.
Sou do Brasil. Adoro essa casa, em roaring heights. ela é perfeita, para iniciar o jogo ou também permanecer nela sempre. durante toda a gameplay, no mundo roaring heights.
How are you able to play sims 3? Ive been trying to play in on the EA App and I just got a new laptop and it still won’t launch the actual game 😭. I really wanted a refund so I can switch to steam cause this makes no sense!
Aren't they supposed to be bad builds to inspire the players to be creative? That home seems like a mid level challenge. Probably a second home instead of a starter, especially since the description says to "escape the hustle and bustle of downtown"
"Find a terrible EA build" could be a dangerous drinking game, no matter which Sims game you're playing, lol. There are so many of them.
I feel like sims2 did a pretty good job. But yes in s3 and more so in s4 like damn you built this.

Their starter houses are simple so players can renovate them easily
i know they did for some worlds on sims 4 :) not sure for sims 3
What blows my mind is when you watch there live streams they do say they play the game so either they are shit at building or they are lying
Simple, they'd have to pay them. And they don't care about anything but profit

This is sooo true
I’m sorry WHAT is THAT 😭😭😭The outside is really okay but the inside is TRAGIIIIC I have never something this egregious in the sims
ugh that flooring at the beginning! i can feel it! poor sims feet! 😣
It looks exactly like those planks in real life that contractors put on the floor before they add carpets or tiling. 🤣

this looks like a sims 2 starter home 😭

I always do the edits before they move in, that way there's no cost for the original, just what you're moving into.
This video really shows the superior powers of CASt
Yes!! It’s so good!! I’m glad it’s coming back with Project Rene!!

Nice work, fun to see you playing with the 20s art deco/Miami style! I really love the wallpaper you made for the living room, it works so perfectly.
Right!? I never design anything with art deco it was fun to get out of my comfort zone!! Also thank you I was so undecided on that wallpaper lol. 😂😂
God, this reminds me of the houses in Veronaville(Sims 2, I know) where it's just one entire room on the first floor with the terrible looking floor.
Really nice renovation! Also, you can delete the previous flooring/wallpaper to save some money before putting on another floor/wallpaper

I just downloaded this world and I looked at the houses, I already know which one this is gonna be!! I was like REALLY EAAA
they way this house was originally furnished interior and exterior hurt my feelings and I guess they didn't have kitchen sinks back then either?

I thought I was the only one who noticed 😂
cj, thx for giving this starter home a soul and life! i’m a big fan of the bathroom!
The interior was tragic until you came along to fix it 💙
i love challenges like this, its more realistic! i usually start w like a million simoleons..but i wish that was real life lol

omg the before house was such a mess!!! the after results are everythinggggg, i don't know how you did it!!!!
Yes I remember that house if only because of stairs! You did a good job on the house.
You already know I’m falling down the OG stairs on my way to the bathroom

As much as i do enjoy the sims 4 a lot... I miss this open world maps and intricate CAS 😓.
Yes!! I do like how Sims 4 build mode is better and how CAS is faster, but to me nothing beasts The Sims 3. 😎💯

Also yeah that starter is PAINFUL to use, it looks so SO bad
I love this refurbish- very classy and opulent, but still pretty simplistic!
New fan here, I dont even play Sims 3 but I totally dig your tone and style, gj man. Great content!

He said "you have chair, a kitchen...." Chair, singular, is so petty 😂😂😂
You did really well with this build.
I can just see myself walking to the bathroom at 3am, half asleep, tumbling down the fancy ass stairs
oh my god... this video showed me how much i need sims 3 in my life again xD
I just discovered your channel! I love your vibe. Drinking coffee, working, and watching you build. Lol!
great video CJ, I love roaring heights
Thank you so much!! And it’s a really nice world!! I need to play in it more!!
really had to trust the process with this one but i was pleasantly surprised
"ConstrainFloorElevation" oh my God, it's been a while
The bathroom pattern reminds me of the sims urbz Royal Heights!

Aaaa man I really miss Sims 3
i used to love the sims 3 but is so strange to watch a gameplay now hahaha
You made it so cute
I put my simself and my bf in this house and refurnished it 😭😭
did ea ever really try tho
Lmaoo!! 😭😭
Another great video by cj 🤭🤭🤭
Thank you so much!! 😎💯
You could have left the title as EA didn’t even try and that would be accurate
Extensions would be easy though. That's something
Has more personality than all Sims 4 EA builds 😂
Subscribed. I miss Sims 3❤

Try a cheat money for a bit then once your done building go back to the lower money, its what I do
i love u already why didnt i find you before
But i miss this small staircase 😢
Omg so many homes in sims 3 were bad. Just really big, empty, and square rooms.
Somehow still better than the Sims 4 on launch
from which expac is this city from ? I'm fairly sure I have them all but I dont remember seeing this map
Alexa play Black and Gold by Sam Sparro 🎶😊
I need to listen to that now lol. 😂😂
yeah yours is so much better
Last time i checked Maxis made sims 3 and Ea only published it 🤔

Still better than my builds lmao
Love your videos!
Ill just buldoze the second floor and make it one floor, with that backyard, doesn’t make sense
How you have this amazing textures ... i have nice pc and i don't have this nice looking graphics.. it looks blurry in my game.
In the options go to graphics, you can change the graphics
So cute!!!
looks like something i would of built if i was half a$$ing it xD

It's in the Sims 3 store.
