      Just to be fair, if you put 10 economist in a room, you would get 10 different economic plans. I know that Kwasi Kwarteng studied Economic History, which is not actually economics, and Liz studied Politics of Economics, which again, isn't economics. Yes, they would have learnt a bit of the theory, but an awful lot of politics and history of economics.

      I'm from Kensington and Chelsea in London but now live in Alanya region of the beautiful Med Sea climate. I left after BREXIT.. didn't like what I foresaw. My mates thought I was crazy. My new expat mates here from British Isles and Scandinavian countries cannot understand what's happened to the UK.

      I am an expat living in Portugal. I look on with amazement firstly that the UK left the EU and now Dizzy Lizzy. What is going to happen to my beloved UK. I have to say that I am scared where they are going. I have lost thousands of euros over Brexit and now the exchange rate is going down I am going to lose lots more. This is all even worse than anything Monty Python could dream up.

      Hannan told us "Nobody is suggesting leaving the single market".
      Hannan told us "You are not going to die from Covid".
      There's no reason for him to start being right now.
      His article blaming Starmer was originally published on ConservativeHome, where it drew derision from a normally "raw meat" audience.
      I suspect the more moderate party members are finally finding their voices again.
      Or maybe even the "ain't hurting, ain't working" brigade have hit the point where it hurts them personally.

    I love Contender #3's ability to suss out time paradoxes with such ease, and to find that effects happen before their causes. Financial markets tanks because Kier Starmer will become PM in the near future because financial markets tanked.     Hannan is the winner of the loony tunes snowflake award for me. All it took was one little comment about the budget being a disaster and he blocked me on Twitter. Deadwood is the most dense of the contenders but he also has a thick skin to go with his thick head and allows people to say what they think of his Twitter comments.

    The thing I love about the "The market fears a Labour Government" is that if that was true, then the market did it's absolute best to make it a self-fulfilling policy. Because they made the Tories look so incompetent that Labour now have a 30 point lead in the polls.     At this point is there no way to force the gov to declare a snap election. I mean how can anyone reasonly support this PM and gov. I would say let there be another leadership race but a small number of the population deciding what's best for all of us is madness at this point especially given there record.
