Just to be fair, if you put 10 economist in a room, you would get 10 different economic plans. I know that Kwasi Kwarteng studied Economic History, which is not actually economics, and Liz studied Politics of Economics, which again, isn't economics. Yes, they would have learnt a bit of the theory, but an awful lot of politics and history of economics.
All these people know is what's read from books!! The one thing they can't learn is common sense. Unfortunately this has always been the case and always will be. Policies that have no common sense!!
Unfortunately Tim common sense is not taught at Uni and cannot be read in books either. All these people know are what's written and as you've pointed out if they're being taught garbage then that's all they will regurgitate!!

An invited speaker commented on that by saying something along the lines of "as if the markets are only just becoming aware of Keir Starmer's prescence. The Tories blame the first 10 years on the previous Labour government and the last 2 on the coming Labour government".

I'm from Kensington and Chelsea in London but now live in Alanya region of the beautiful Med Sea climate. I left after BREXIT.. didn't like what I foresaw. My mates thought I was crazy. My new expat mates here from British Isles and Scandinavian countries cannot understand what's happened to the UK.

I am an expat living in Portugal. I look on with amazement firstly that the UK left the EU and now Dizzy Lizzy. What is going to happen to my beloved UK. I have to say that I am scared where they are going. I have lost thousands of euros over Brexit and now the exchange rate is going down I am going to lose lots more. This is all even worse than anything Monty Python could dream up.

His article blaming Starmer was originally published on ConservativeHome, where it drew derision from a normally "raw meat" audience.
I suspect the more moderate party members are finally finding their voices again.

It was Farage who said that we should leave FIFA, an intervention that demonstrates that Farage knows little or nothing about the Premiership, club finances and the importance of champions league football to our top clubs. I guess that Farage has once again just shown how little he knows about anything that he opines about.

Hannan is the winner of the loony tunes snowflake award for me. All it took was one little comment about the budget being a disaster and he blocked me on Twitter. The thing I love about the "The market fears a Labour Government" is that if that was true, then the market did it's absolute best to make it a self-fulfilling policy.
