I don’t care what anyone says. Halo Reach was the best Halo ever made. And I grew up on CE and 2. The story here is masterful. If there’s ever a halo movie made this is the one I want.
This is honestly the best ending in all of the Halo games and arguably most others, 10/10 the whole way through and is always one of my favourites to come back to
I know what was to come of halo reach and noble team... For a short campaign and to see them all fall one by one was truly sad.. guaranteed Halo Reach was so beautifully made and written its is beyond enough to make grown men cry. Spartans never die, they just go missing in action. The story written into these characters from the campaign to the books was very well done, each of the noble team was so different that it made them very unforgettable... In all of master chiefs games that feature him I haven't fealt as connected and sad as I did playing halo reach as noble 6. For the creators of halo reach and all the developers and writers, Well done on a masterpiece of a game.
When you think about how bungie ended this way it's sort of nostalgic cause of the way you would continue halo ce. The memories it would bring back... the first game that started it all.
Noble 6 standing there like an idiot waiting for the covenant to attack. He was actually there issuing a challenge and the covenant answered, not with air strikes or artillery (not immediately anyway), guess he's sort of aware of that the covenant has some sense of honor when it came to battle
In way Bungie basically ensured that no matter what happened after the transfer to 343, we know that humanity is still thriving far into the future. This basically the end of halo franchise. I wonder if we’ll get to this point though in future games. I hope they maintain he same design of the ships
Finish this game on pc masterchief collection, and I couldnt believe this sad ending happened. But considering the background story, it makes a lot of sense. Great game
“For you had already passed the torch. And because of you we found halo, unlocked its secrets, shattered our enemy’s resolve. Our victory - your victory - was so close…” Shit made me tear up..
The legendary difficulty allows you to look around for a brief moment inside the Autumn where the pelican lands. To the right, you see 117 in his cryo tube.
I think this line about Noble 6 says it all "Were it not for Noble Six's final actions, Jacob Keyes, Cortana, and John-117 would never have escaped Reach on The Autumn, and therefore SPARTAN-B312 is partially, if not equally responsible for Humanity's overall victory over both the Covenant, and the Flood." It was by far the saddest moment in all over Halo. And still takes me back to that moment even now.

God... That ending. "I wish you could've lived to see it..." Signs of humanity and the literal life returning to the planet with it's blue skies and grass. I like to imagine people exploring the fields again and finding the helmet long after even this, wondering about the battle that took place. Unknowingly enjoying and celebrating in the victory of the same soldier who fought for it.
I did play Reach without any knowlegde of the Halo Lore, and in that last part i played my heart out literally squeezing out everything i had learned before and fired every last bullet i did get my hands on, to the part where i killed enemys with my bare hands just to get their guns, but in the end it wasnt enough, and i died...After the last cutscene my heart was broken.
When I was playing this as a kid, I really thought there was some hope for the Noble team. But seeing the team slowly dwindle down one by one, and then seeing this happen to the person you guided through the entire mission... Man I did not expect that. Truly a masterpiece. Will forever be my favorite Halo game.
