Thank you...thank you...thank you! My printer stopped scanning a pdf and I have been at a loss as to how to scan to a pdf. Your video helped me realize that the Microsoft Print to PDF wasn't working properly. I unclicked it and reclicked it and now I have the printer listed! You have made my life so much easier!

I battled with it for a few days too. You choose options as flatbed (glass) or document feeder. Very simple really. Just need some explaining.
Great video, and thanks. I had same question. It seems to save each page as a single scan, not the entire document to be able to save as one .pdf with several pages.
I think they key is saving scanned doc as ".tif" and not .jpg. It worked perfectly and saved all pages of my document.

What I need is to scan multiple (10-page document) pages in one folder so that when I print it should print all the pages one after another

i used to be able to scan to PDF without this conversion process. do you know what happened?
To get multiple pages into one scan, you can scan each document/photo as described above. However, after each document is scanned select all scanned images and select print, then select print to pdf.

This is perfect. I print to CutePDF. Previously I was taking multiple steps, including opening MS Word, importing the scanned image and then saving the Word Doc as a PDF. Thanks!!!

Short and sweet: After you scan document using Windows Fax/Scan. Print the document and select "Microsoft Print to PDF" as the printer. Next, select the save as location, enter the filename and save. The video does a thorough job of covering the entire process if you're new to using the Windows Fax/Scan application and the Microsoft Print to PDF functionality.

We have Quickbooks 2020 at work, and we've been getting daily notifications to switch to an online subscription (by the end of May 2023). I wish there was a desktop alternative to Quickbooks, as the small law firm where I work has always preferred "one and done" purchased software, rather than online annual subscriptions.

Thankyou. Really easy to understand (I'm 86). I ran through your instructionds and got it first time. One thing : If I have a document with several pages , can I get them all onto one pdf or do I have to save them separately?

Thank you so much and I have been trying to figure this out. I have two printers and one is Ink Jet Canon MB2320 FAX SCAN AND PRINT the other is Brother Laser HL-5200DW and now I can print on my Brother. I use Canon for scaning and fax and brother to print. Great Video
If you scan the document as a TIF, all the pages scan into one file. I've struggled with Scan to PDF for ever. Thanks.

To combine, any good PDF application, I use Nitro PDF, has a right click and combine feature. you can then add multiple PDF's to one document and arrange them in order.

This is what I did to scan multiple pages and save them as one PDF document. Select "Feeder" as the source and ".TIF" for file type. Then just follow her instructions. Hope that helps
Our company switched to Windows 10 and I lost the way I had been doing scanning. I found your video on how to scan docs to PDF I followed your instructions and everything worked until I wanted to put the document in a file on our shared server. When I check to see if it is there, it is not.

Question: When it says Windows Printer to PDF does it mean it will make a PDF and print at the same time?
Super helpful-- thank you! Have you tried the HP Scan app that comes with HP printers? It's a lot simpler and can scan directly to PDF. Not sure why Microsoft has to make scanning to PDF more complicated than it apparently needs to be?

You printed to PDF upside down. There is no rotate function in Windows Fax/Scan?

How do you scan multiple pages in one file? I cannot find instructions for this except one video but they use a feeder and I have a flat bed. Surely it is possible. Very frustrated, every time with computers and associated, it is never straight forward.
How scan mutiple pages and print in on single document. This solution seems to scan and print just one page per document. Not a good solution for scan a entire document with 20 pages.
This works but the documents end up cropped weird or cut off at the top

Why are the documents sideways? When i attach it to hotmail to email it to someone there is a rotate button on the document to rotate and it does rotate it... but when I send it... it goes back sideways and cuts a section of the docs off

Thank you for the help, worked great, I would like to help you now. You can put a link on the bottom task bar that will open the program. Go through the apps on the start menu, right click on the windows scan it will then drop down a menu to pin to start or more, Click more and then click pin to task bar,
