Thank you so much for your help. Before when I had Windows 8, it was a very simple process. All I had to do was place the document on the glass of my printer, close the lid and press SCAN. Select that I wanted it to scan to my PC and press start. Your instructions were very much to the point and I appreciate it.

I watched this video for 30 seconds and typed scan into the WIN 10 search box at the bottom left and this solved my frustration with Canon. Problem solved. Thanks. Too bad Canon did not explain this for Windows 10 users. My wife cannot stand the G4210 printer so I gave her my old printer and took the 4210. I do not like the 4210 either.

I'm looking to answer the question "how do I use windows fax and scan with wifi' I hear the scanning going on in the background. I'm assuming I could just have the hard copy on my computer in word and send it to the fax/scan folder for sending via wifi. I don't need to convert digitally via scanner. right?
as shown in video, you will tell this program to choose your scanner name, otherwise it uses laptop camera. it took me a while to so, but finally it worked for print and scan too

What about changing the format of a file.. I scanned some documents but it saves it as pictures I was able to email the attachment but went I open the email it downloads as pictures so I can not upload them to a destination.. to the attachment.. I see it when I go to look for that file.. but when I click to upload and opens that window it doesn’t show it ( can’t find it! )
Another example of instructions beginning with "It's very simple" being worthless. Fortunately, I figured it out on my own. I went to Control Panel, then Devices and Printers, then clicked on the name of my printer, then Scanner Management.
By using this méthod, if you put more pictures side by side, for example 3 pictures in the sanner, does this application scan the 3 pictures once ? That means that you have then 3 pictures and not 1 paper wiht 3 pictures ?
i installed my mg3050 to be wireless BUT do i need to connect my mg3050 with a cable/cabel/kabel... to my laptop to be able to SCAN? because when i click on 'new scan' i get a pop-up saying 'no scanners are found. if i do have a scanner it has to be ON and attached to my computer' .... so...help me out asap :(
We sure enjoy THE CLARITY OF THE DEMONSTRATION. All the windows that your opened are READABLE CLEAR AND NOT SO HARD TO FOLLOW YOU. Try to change the profil from photo to documents you can save it as .jpg anyway.
