After 11 years I only now notice the fact that the shield emitters (the lights) on reach's spartan armor react to shield damage. Getting brighter the less you have, and strobing when depleted.
As someone who dislikes the 343 games, the shield recharging sound in Halo 4 is actually really cool. It's a nice immersive detail that you can sorta hear it start and stop distinctly, with the last note almost being like a notification to let you know the shields are fully charged. Nice to see that come back in Infinite.
In the hopes they allow the sound to be customizable. Perhaps one player likes classic than 4’s and they could chose the sound! Small want and not needed but it’ll be cool.
@@bustersaeli4074 you don't wear the Mark V in Infinite, they say is the Mark VII, latest version of Mjolnir armour; even if it seems like the same as Halo 2 and 3 it is actually more advanced and better than the one we saw in Halo 4 and 5
I think that should probably go to infinite. It’s fast enough to where it’s not annoying while not being cut off like halo 2 was. Reach is second best only because of how long it takes to regenerate (I know because it’s more similar to CE and the tech was less advanced and whatnot)
@@HwangInhoBooNam the yellow hexagons are solid in color rather than being "see-through." They just obstruct the players view. But the game is out now and they are non-existent I think.
I think CE is my favorite, there's something about the beeps when it begins recharging that I find really satisfying. 5 is the worst one by far, it sounds awful, just another case of 343 doing something different because they just wanted to change something.
Honestly, never been a fan of 4 and 5s shields. Strictly from a usefulness standpoint, and from a person who doesn’t turn up the sound a lot, I think the sound of the shields being low and depleted and regenerating are pointless. You do not want to know the amount of times I’ve gone out of cover thinking I’ve got full shields only to die to grunts melee. I don’t look at my shield bar during combat. I rely on the loud shield alerts. And wouldn’t you want to know if you’re about to die in real life with a very loud beep to hear it during the heat of battle?
See I love how RT integrated Their show RWBY with a halo like shield effect, its less of tech and more of life force but still cool! The effect is just about the same but with different colors for each character.
I admit 5 sounds better than 4. God, 4 is awful though. What were they thinking? Other than the AR, the sound design for everything is awful. Worst offender is the terrible BR. And the plasma pistol is just shameful.
God I just hate halo 5's sound design in general. Everything sounds just so.... High tech and uneventful. You got a kill? *Futuristic blooping * you slapped the magazine of your gun into place? *Extremely similar noise * it just doesn't make any sense.
@@ianblanchet5500 So are 4 other games and they had 4x better sound design than just “futuristic booping”. It’s almost like Halo had a cemented identity already that did not need to be swappped out for a generic one.
