Hey Salt, thanks for the video. Just as a small remark, as this is a video important for many newer players. You really should go over your numbers regarding farming at lower levels. Energy efficiency when going from hard to brutal does not increase until you can hit 9-1(brutal) reliably, before, you're better of farming 11 or 12 in Hard.
Should I be using rares to feed my 4 and 5 stars? or should I keep them for faction wars? also i was planning on 6 staring my Elhain or Galek, would it be better to 6 star Elder Skarg or High Khatun instead?
My Kael is currently 5* mid 20s working to 50. I've been leveling 3 fodder (food) along with Kael, mainly 2* to turn into 3* & up. I'm only on Normal and leveling the speed armor section area 3 for shields for silver. Would there be a better method? Just curious if I'm truly waisting precious time and energy that could be better utilized. Any advice is greatly appreciated. Thank you.
You might try to reach 12.3 as soon as possible. There are only green enemies and they are easy Kills with Kael and the XP/energy and silver/energy rates are slightly better there. However, your Kael needs to be able to do 12.3 alone. You might try to level Kael alone for some runs to have him at level 50 faster: the XP per run is fix and distributed among the champions. Thus Kael alone gets 100% of the XP, if he has 3 food with him, he only gets 25% of the available XP. But that's hard to calculate regarding efficiency.
So is it best to get for example Kael to 5* from starting the game then completing the normal campaign with 3 other 3-4* champions because Kael can’t do it on his own at 5* so early on because he’s not gonna have high star gear till later on in the game and then start farming hard stage 1-3 for example to get Kael 6*?
I would appreciate an answer to this question as well. I'm grinding alts to use as food, but can't advance through normal and most guides are talking about brutal.

Is it more efficient to level up Common to level 5 versus a uncommon to level 5? Because I realized the amount of xp goes higher to level up as the rarirty goes up for the champions.
Is there a list anywhere of how much XP the different boards give you? I'm on normal and I have been grinding on the elves shield level, because that's teh easiest that I had been able to grind without getting defeated.
doro626 there are lists somewhere. All stages within a chapter give the same energy but each higher chapter/difficulty gives more. Shields sell for the most gold

SALT, im confused...what is better solution....statisticlly, to level up and rank up food (i use just C and UC champions), so to level them up and than use them.....or to use them all at lvl 1. Im talking about energy spending....where is the benefit to use UC champion lvl 20 for exp.....tnx
sanjin kadric Only use the leveled champs as food during the Champion Training Events. You do this because you get points for all levels on all champs and the most efficient levels to get are the first levels. I usually make 1 run on 12-3 for all my 1* & 2* food to get them to level 6 before using them for food. This gives 15 event points for 8 energy on the three food champs. I wouldn’t take them to 20 to feed them ever. Very inefficient. Hopefully, that helps.
I would add that use of training grounds to get last few levels on high level food is a great way to take food to last step without huge energy cost. Especially if you do this right before you go offline i.e. sleep.
By using high level food in the grounds it maxximizes the exp/hr that training grounds give that you would otherwise have to use energy for while minimizing the chance of missing the refresh on training grounds due to making the next level.i.e. takes a lot of exp to kick over to the next level.
So I'm using 3 Saurus for food n farming brutal kerak castle for RARE Conqueror champion Does brutal increase chances for Rare drop or shld I farm normal for champion? @Salt
thanks a lot but I have a question how do I fix multi-battle, cause when I try to use it never saves the units i want to use for multi-battle.for example it will only populate two units I didn't want in there.. thanks for the help and advice
In Multi-Battle the only Champion that sticks is the leader. For example, if you have two level 60 Champions and two level 1 Champions in the slots before selecting Multi-Battle, then more Champions to the queue, when the first battle starts the level 60 Champion who is not the Leader will have dropped out. Leave the Leader as the only level 60 in the battle. Kind of sucks and not the way it worked when Multi-Battle first came out. When Multi Battle first came out you had to have empty slots before tapping Multi-Battle.
@SALT I know this might be a dumb question but what would happen is i take a 3 star Kael and feed his 5 five stars? i'm struggling with farming so i'm really trying to understand and figure this out. Thank you
you cant feed a higher star champ to a lower one to rank it up, same with feeding a lower star champ to a higher star to rank it up. you will only get experience, which is a complete waste :)
Do not use 5* champions as food unless you are upgrading a 5* to a 6* and only if they are bad 5* champions. Only farm on levels you can sweep efficiently to maximize time and xp. I farm and lvl up food on my double xp days
I find at the start you’ll only be only to farm 6-3 on easy cos unless you have your main 5* plus 3 other 3-4* champions you can’t get much further just using Kael and 3 food(I completed all of stage 8 normal using 5* plus 3 others 3-4* champions but Kael can’t do it on his own with food)
Hey SALT, i have enough 5 star food to 6 star a champ, think my Kael would be a good option to bring endgame? I don't really have any other godly characters to 6 star, other then Bellower, Elhain or Husk, any suggestions?

Can you or anyone here can tell me why there are items on the market that have a bronce/gold frame on them regardless of rarity? In your case on this video there is a legendary Speed set boots, ok with that but I have seen normal even items with this frame have any ideas or reason why?
if you really need to farm you should focus on refill on energy. it's a really big grind you should 4-5 star your starter asap and slap some lifesteal on them.
Always like the vids but ? For you how do you always have double xp buff. Is there a efficient way to collect them. I can only save up a few months. Do you buy them with gems?
Noob questions: 1) is it worth leveling up low star lvl champions to highlevel star champions and using them in figts? Or should they only be used for food? 2) Can i level up the starrank on items like champions?
There are a couple of 1* and 2* champions that have some limited worth. The Sister Militant is decent to have she only has one ability but it's an AoE. so she is good at helping clear early Normal & Hard Campaigns. She is really good in the spider dungeon especially if you can outfit her with some average Life Steal gear. Beyond that she is not much good anywhere else. Outlaw Monk is another decent low tier toon, well worth having if you are having issues placing in Clan Boss fights.
1st thing to do is get a 6 star that attacks all enemies - mine was Luthiea and she is just killing everyone right now. She is not strong enough for the last level though so working on others. But for farming she is VERY handy. I can bring her into brutal levels (lifesteal level) with 3 1 star champions and they level up to 6 in their 1st run. it takes me less then a minute to get 3 of them to level up 6 times. GET A DAMN 6 STAR THEY ARE AMAZING.
Your upgrade description is wrong. You said in order to get a 6 star champ you would need 6 five star champs to do so. But that is wrong. You have a 5 Star champ and in order to get that 5 Star upgraded you only need 5 other 5 stars to up him to a 6.
i feel like im having negative progress in this game right now. I cant get past stage 7 on hard, and all i keep hearing is make your starting champ 6 star... its like how!?
Yea, much more useful to say however many stars the champion you are upgrading currently has is how many equal rank food champs you need. Why count the champion that you're upgrading? Obviously you need that one, lol.
Stage 3 is used to farm silver as the shields you receive sell more than any other artifact. Stage 6 is used for XP as it is the highest granting stage of all. Stage 7 just stay away from, too much energy and not enough reward.
I did not know a lot of this besides the common not to sacrifice your higher leveled because it's a waste. But I was farming one champion at a time . I thought they would level up faster lol.
Man same mistake with me.Except worse.I actually put gear n stuff on them,I have epic gear on sum of them rn lol, hopefully I'll be able to gain enough silver to take it off them when I feed them to my other 4 star
I decided to uninstall the game because of ONE singular reason. ads, every time i log in asking if i want to buy all the games "deals". you rock and i hope i can come back to the game and watch more of your vids, but until i can disable those ads im done with this game.
Just click to the side of the ad panel when it pops and it disappears..it takes like 2-5 seconds to get rid of the ad windows, which is nothing. The game is good and I suggest you reconsider your reason for quitting :P peace
I am saving up to make my second five star right now. I haven't decided the candidate yet. I will probably take your advice and wait for an event. I finally ran my starter energy down. Waiting for dailies and I am going back in. People hate grindwalls. I just know if this is anything like Summoner's War U will have to grind a year to see a good legendary. Thank you for the content.
I've been playing for 71 days now and felt the beginning week a constant grind. Every time you level (which is often early game) you receive full energy. Play some more! I got lucky getting Rae and Lord Shazar as my first two (and currently only) legendaries; from a sacred and an ancient shard. Getting Rae from the ancient was damned lucky. And yes, grindwall, but there is so much variety in this game that you need to have structured grinding. Good fun.
Wouldn't it make more sense to say...the level of starts you're trying to be is the level of champions you need...IE if I want to be a 3 star...I need three 3 start champs?
it would take 720 1 star champions if you only used 1 stars. 1. 1+1=2 2. 2+2+2=6 3. 6+6+6+6=24 4. 24+24+24+24+24=120 5. 120+120+120+120+120+120=720 6. 720

12-3 or 12-6? I keep trying to get some information numbers on this but everywhere I look they show 12-6 as getting more silver and exp. How much are shields vs boots and how does that match up against these two levels???
Doing 12.3 only because I think the shields give a lot more silver. Maybe someone can add some numbers to mine, for science: XP 1 run gives 17304 total XP (no double XP boost) which is 4326 per champ and costing 8 energy. Assuming you farm food with double XP boost and only use a full group this is 4326 total group XP per energy (of which usually 25 % is wasted to your farmer, mind you..). Silver 1 green 5 star shield sells for 25.000 silver, but is rare. 5 star grey sells for 20.000. I just sold 97 shield for 873.139 total, which is an average of 9001 silver per shield. You do not get 1 shield every run, but some green shards instead. Champs are bonus so may be ignored. Might average around 1000 silver per energy. At 12.6 the energy cost, group size and lost XP to the farmer is identical. But you get 4400 XP per champ instead of 4326 without XP boost. That's just 74 more XP. You need 15 runs with xp boost on 12.3 to bring a 2 star champ to level 20. With 74 XP difference per run, that gain does to save a single run on that first interval, even with XP boost. of course this adds up when leveling up 5 star food. I do not have the average price of the boots and I have no idea how the flat silver loot is comparing. That's something to be monitored too. Buit would always recommend 12.3 instead of 12.6.
Using One Star characters you need approx 108 other characters that are "ranked up" to increase your One champion up to level 6. Chickens are available as prizes via the Tournaments, from someone who has completed the game to Brutal and Dungeons up to 13 my advice to new players would be to ***AVOID TOURNAMENTS*** the prizes are NOT worth the energy expenditure. DO NOT waste your GEMS on Blue Shards, buy as much Energy as possible and finish the Campaigns upto Brutal and 'then' do what you want. Lastly, DO NOT spend real money on this game UNTIL you have complete the 90 day progression reward bonuses. 90 days seems a long time BUT if you are in it for the long game then 90 days is nothing or if 90 days is too long then you are wasting your own money.
@@SALTx I agree, it could spoil someone's enjoyment as the numbers can seem intimidating until you get used to the grind and understand that this is a marathon not a sprint. It's a good game but it needs some desperate rebalancing. The arena is too much of a jumble and there are enough players to create matches that are more evenly balanced (lvl 20's vs constant lvl 50-60's is unfair to the new players). Obviously the boss matches in FW, remove green shards from dungeons and increase the blue drop rate ( most characters available from blues are mediocre anyway so it shouldn't be a major blow) and remove the silver cost for changing armor! Charging for removing items you've already paid a fortune to upgrade is disgraceful. Apologies for the moan lol keep the videos coming!!! They're great help for us at the bottom of the ladder :D
You need a 5* plus 3 others at 3-4* to complete normal because your only gonna have 3* gear on them so Kael 5* as an example won’t be able to do it on his own
15 days, 5 level 40s, level 27, around campaign 8 or there about, just got about to doing stuff right, like gearing, etc. Been doing a lot wrong all these while
Joey Kachi Well your first priority should be getting Kael to 5*. Him plus 3 other 3* should get you to 6-3 normal then farm that. Should get you 2400xp for each of your food for 4 energy, brutal gives you 4800 for 8 energy(doing 2-3)so no difference really, will just take longer

@@ethanleblanc676 Ok thanks.
How can I farm brews and should I use brews to level food champions? How do I create potions?
Is the campaign a better place to lvl my food or dungeons like the dragon dungeon ok too?
noo dungeons give pretty bad exp, if you want to farm EXP campaign is the way to go.
Hey Salt, any reason in particular that you seem to use the Incubus champion as the champion you rank up??
That's because he levels mostly at brimestone path and incubus drops fairly commonly there so its free farm while leveling for them.
@@Bladestorm3333 so its just accessibility, not anything about gaining more resources, or leveling up quicker. Got it!
Anytime I try to rank up a champion, most of my choices as food will say this champion could be used to rank up a different champion. Do you know why?
Either it's a duplicate that can be used to rank up the identical characters skill, or it's a fuseable character
I just started playing less than a month. Thanks for this video. Helps a lot.
Where do I recognize this guys voice from? Is this GIG the old D3 streamer?
Have to be
if youre trying to get specific champs leveled, you only use 2/1 for more exp for them
I've got 14,161 energy but been just spending it aimlessly, what would you recommend?
level up champion you want to max lol
Plz help which 4 champions i pick
Metalshaper, avenger, master butcher, gator, ,witness, fortress goon, sorceres, perforator, seducer, bloodhorn, skeleton, Valerie, heiress,
Rank by power and defence
I know about Brimstone stage 3, but what's the difference between 3 and 6?
stage 3 for more silver(shield sells for more) and stage 6 gives more exp
So I'm using 3 Saurus for food n farming brutal kerak castle for RARE Conqueror champion
Does brutal increase chances for Rare drop or shld I farm normal for champion? @Salt
Hey Salt.. I have a few champions that I'm not sure I should grind to 60.. Is there a way you could help me out? Should I just leave the names here?
sure!
how to use crusader and sniper for increase the rank of another champion?..
If you do dungeons, you can rank up 4 instead of only 3... and get your potions, scrolls, amulets, artifacts, etc...
If I upgrade the rank on a champion, can I use that champion as food later? I have been trying and it shows the champion as locked.
Thats the point. I rank up uncommons to use them as food higher. Just noticed that my food 5☆ is uncommon ;)
Is it worth opening the Mine?
Does buy the blue shards for $200k from the market? Is that a good deal?
Yes, always worth it

thanks a lot but I have a question how do I fix multi-battle, cause when I try to use it never saves the units i want to use for multi-battle.for example it will only populate two units I didn't want in there.. thanks for the help and advice
Make sure when you start off your multi battle you leave all the empty spots for your "food queue" or it won't replace them properly :)
maby u use maxed champs for multi....there can only be one maxed....the leader
I don't really have any other godly characters to 6 star, other then Bellower, Elhain or Husk, any suggestions?
bellower is a really good champion with gear keal would be a second option but bellower man i still don't have him lol and i would 6* him in a second,
@@simonglancy3136 I mean my Kael is geared with mostly 5star and some 4 star gear, all +16, his crits hit 20k, Bellower isn't AS geared but I'm trying to get him geared up as well, hit crits do around 15k
@@Delarocky hi keal is by far the best of the starter champs and can do so great aoe damage, Bellower has 3 aoe attacks and short to mid term will allow you to farm the campain very well
I would say getting him up first then use him to rank out Kael as fast as you can
@@simonglancy3136 Actually that's very smart since I can use Bellower to get up food champs and feed to Kael and other champs much faster, thanks!
@@Delarocky your more than welcome, if you want for info on this game SALT's vidoes are a really good source of info also check the discord :)
is it okay to use the worthless rares as food? the bad ones with only 3 skills and no aoe or anything of any good?
if you are a collector i wouldnt, you never know when you may get them again. if you dont care, then sure.
@@SALTx well I'm not exactly a collector, I just collect some that are useful, like athel, or that one high elf that has a couple aoe abilities, and of course all the epics I get.

faction wars is getting nerfed "soon" so I would not go too crazy until we know how its rebalanced.

Do you have a video on how to unlock the higher difficulty? I only have normal
Once you finish the last boss in stage 12 in normal, hard should unlock :)
I was hoping i could combine chickens to get a higher star chicken. Now My only hope is having them as extras and working on with the food champs
My major roadblock has been which 3 star champions (including rares) to keep?
Are AOE attacks really all that important?
aoe attacks are very important for clearing waves in campaign and dungeons

Can you or anyone here can tell me why there are items on the market that have a bronce/gold frame on them regardless of rarity? In your case on this video there is a legendary Speed set boots, ok with that but I have seen normal even items with this frame have any ideas or reason why?
the frame means its a "discount" item so it is less expensive then what it would normally cost
@@SALTx nice one ... did not know that and was asking around too but nobody knew.
Video on best way or recommend use of gems? For beginners
hm I know I have a video on gems but it might be how to get gems, not spend them
if you really need to farm you should focus on refill on energy. it's a really big grind you should 4-5 star your starter asap and slap some lifesteal on them.
I use gems for pack of 11ancients. I dont care much about refills of energy but that might be usefull as well.
hello salt , how can i do if i dont have enough space for my new heroes and i am newbie :S

"You can't use Chickens as your main Champion"
Now that I think about it, I would love a Chicken Champion
Always like the vids but ? For you how do you always have double xp buff. Is there a efficient way to collect them. I can only save up a few months. Do you buy them with gems?
I honestly bought a lot of them ages ago and had to claim them in my mailbox because the 99 days was almost out.
Noob questions:
1) is it worth leveling up low star lvl champions to highlevel star champions and using them in figts?
Why are ancient and void shards the same percentages
omg the moment i m Looking for a vid like this … there is finally one on YT :D
Grinding is an understatement
Thank you so much for making this man
glad to help!
I legit could have done this video in 2 mins
How long you been playing or paying for the game. As you have a lot of high level characters.
about a year.
Your upgrade description is wrong. You said in order to get a 6 star champ you would need 6 five star champs to do so. But that is wrong. You have a 5 Star champ and in order to get that 5 Star upgraded you only need 5 other 5 stars to up him to a 6.
So you should always use commons and uncommons as food and never rares?
Sometimes I use rares that drop when I'm farming for some gear and I know that I won't use. Like that one from offence set map
Thank You Salt!
glad to help!!
Is Elhain a good campaign farmer
The best farmer is Kael, then Athel, then, Elhain
I did the math already 20 3stars to get 1 5star so if you have a lvl 50 hero to be 6starred you need in total 100 3stars
Wow nice video
I ever make brimbstone 3 because There is a much of silber and the xpp are not the Bad

i feel like im having negative progress in this game right now. I cant get past stage 7 on hard, and all i keep hearing is make your starting champ 6 star... its like how!?

Thank you kind sir!
Salt can you do a video on Minotaur Lab speed team comps for faster masteries if possible
@Raiden Lehman name the champions pls
Awe, I want to try ranking up a chicken now. 😝
Thank u so much
Thanks bro. I appreciate it.
glad to help!
chart is confusing, you actually need 1 maxed 5star lvl50 and 5x 5star level1 to make 1 6star. etc
yes I explain in the video the chart is the total number of champions needed to get the next rank including the original one you are leveling up.
Yea, much more useful to say however many stars the champion you are upgrading currently has is how many equal rank food champs you need. Why count the champion that you're upgrading? Obviously you need that one, lol.
You are right I could have explained it better, I should have said you need X number of food champions rather then total champions.
@@SALTx No problem, I was just confused for a minute as well when I was looking at the chart. Thanks for all of your content!
You mention level 3 and 6 but I didn’t catch the reason. Why is level 3 and 6 more valuable to farm than say 7?
Sean Feeney the stuff you get sells higher. That was you max out the silver you get also while farming
That way**
use less energy running 6 vs 7 too, and is usually slightly faster than a boss battle.
Stage 3 is used to farm silver as the shields you receive sell more than any other artifact. Stage 6 is used for XP as it is the highest granting stage of all. Stage 7 just stay away from, too much energy and not enough reward.
Thank you for sharing
glad it helped!
@@muse1520 Haha we all made mistakes I bet tho ! And silver is not too hard to gain. I'm sure you'll get it fast.
My problem is that I still don't have a fast campaign farmer. However, I can clear majority of the content in the game.
speed comes with time and dedication :)
Nope, got one from a free Void shard my first month.
Good fun.
I got a legendary the first week with a Void shard
It's only more efficient if you get more than double the exp from brutal.
Wouldn't it make more sense to say...the level of starts you're trying to be is the level of champions you need...IE if I want to be a 3 star...I need three 3 start champs?
thank you so much _O_
it would take 720 1 star champions if you only used 1 stars.
1. 1+1=2
2. 2+2+2=6
3. 6+6+6+6=24
4. 24+24+24+24+24=120
5. 120+120+120+120+120+120=720
6. 720

*** HELP PLEASE ***
Been playing 4 days now, got Kael to 4* however, I can't get through normal stages in order to work toward hard then brutal. I'm grinding alts to use as food in the meantime. I've watched so so many of your videos and other folks. I would greatly appreciate if anyone would be willing to provide the best advice on how to best utilize time & energy to get Kael to 6* and what a truly realistic time would be to get him to 6*. Disabled vet with to much down time to kill. Thank you in advance to anyone willing to reply.
Just take your time, don't think I had my first 6 star until after I'd finished Brutal
Make him a 5 star and farm 12-3 easy then once he’s level 50 work on another champion to 50 so you can get tmw 12-3 hard and farm that for a long time until you make him like 18000 power and 6 star
Thank you for the advice. Thank you.
@@JoseMartinez-yi1th ty
Jason Doss yeah man that’s about it, normal 12-3 farming, make him a 6 star
12-3 or 12-6? I keep trying to get some information numbers on this but everywhere I look they show 12-6 as getting more silver and exp. How much are shields vs boots and how does that match up against these two levels???
Doing 12.3 only because I think the shields give a lot more silver. Maybe someone can add some numbers to mine, for science:
XP
1 run gives 17304 total XP (no double XP boost) which is 4326 per champ and costing 8 energy.
Assuming you farm food with double XP boost and only use a full group this is 4326 total group XP per energy (of which usually 25 % is wasted to your farmer, mind you..).
Silver
1 green 5 star shield sells for 25.000 silver, but is rare.
90 days seems a long time BUT if you are in it for the long game then 90 days is nothing or if 90 days is too long then you are wasting your own money.
yeah i decided not to get into the crazy energy numbers and math in this video or it would be too much
@@SALTx I agree, it could spoil someone's enjoyment as the numbers can seem intimidating until you get used to the grind and understand that this is a marathon not a sprint.
I haven't even made it to level 12 on easy yet lol, long way to go for me
Don't worry I was stuck too . How long you been playing an what level are you?
Unfortunately I selected elhain as my first, due to a lot of people on Google saying so, I have pulled athel of recent and I have made her my primary champion, she is going to be my first 5* pretty soon, and yeah I do regret selecting elhain over kael
YOU NEED FIVE 5* FOOD FOR A 6*.
5 food units + the original you are ranking up = 6 total units
was stated more than once in the video the one being ranked up was also included in the number...
He made this unnecessarily complicated. Just say, whatever your rank is, you need to feed that many championships of the same rank to rank up. Simple.
And here I thought Incubus is the best kind of champ for food purpose. Actually you were just grinding the last stage and happened to get that many Incubus
How do I get chickens
Will now i feel like they are all cannibals thank you 😂😂
nah always level these so called food to level 3-4 events dont matter when you can just get them from the portal and market, campaign.
bro,how do you have so much coins and gems?does Plarium give it to you?
Plarium gave me 900 gems total out of all the gems I have. I just don't spend many gems if I don't have to.
