You kept Gawad on his toes Curtis. Well done. He is a LEGEND. Both your and your sisters games have improved TREMENDOUSLY. WELL DONE to the family. I see its a full family thing.
Thank you very much. More to come from us 👍
Well done and thanks for a little insight into the event. Good luck in the future !
Thanks a lot!
Well done Curtis. Going forward I noticed that when playing drops against Gawad , especially at the front right side your body/spine needs to soften, allowing greater feel on the drop. As your tall creating more thoracic/oblique rotation would be a major plus.
Thanks for the advice 👍
A great little insight as to what goes on behind the scenes at a professional squash event!
Really enjoyed watching this and your on court performances Curtis & Torrie!
Glad you enjoyed it. More to come 💪
Sheeeesh, that point in Curtis' Gawad match at 6-6 in the 2nd @ 13:19 was immense. You defended that aggression amazingly until the unfortunate movement at 14:04. It looked a bit like fatigue but then you ended up winning that game! All games incredibly close until the last; what happened in the last game in your eyes?
Torrie can fairly lash the ball... definitely one of the more powerful women on the tour. Just a matter of finding the right moments to use it and it should be even more lethal.
Yeah there were some hard rallies in there but my recovery between each one was good I felt. He got away with a couple lucky ones to start in the 4th, he got more confident and I lost my length a bit and before you know it you're 8-1 down!
Excellent play Curtis. You definitely made Gawad work for it. Well done too Torrie - not easy when under the weather and playing such a talented player in Watanabe.
Yeah I really enjoyed the match and Torrie had a good performance all things considered!
First time on your channel, awesome content. To be able to see into the world of elite squash is very interesting. Awesome game against Gawad and Watanabe!
Good luck to the both of you in the future and keep pumping up more content!
Cheers from Sweden
Thanks for watching! Appreciate the supportive words 💪
You played brilliant against Gawad but one thing you should have done was to also play front and back somewhat like Farag because in a few rallies Gawad was standing a little bit behind the T as he predicted what you were going to play next so my suggestion is that you should hunt for more volleys and play front and back. Also, well played Torrie.
Welldone Curtis and Torrie 🎉❤
More ahead
Thank you James! 🙏
Well played Curtis and Torrie - I was there on Thursday watching you both. Impressive performances form you both against elite players, which I look forward to you both joining soon 😀 And was good to speak to you later that afternoon. I've just found your channel here so am now subscribed and looking forward to many more videos in the future as you rise through the rankings! 👊
Thank you very much. Nice to meet you 😊
Excellent effort and great to see the Maliks on Squash TV.
Thanks a lot 💪
Amazing effort from the Maliks ! Congrats on your respective results. When you play against players of such caliber, it would be very interesting (for me) to hear a bit more of your thoughts : what worked, what didn't, where they exploited something in your game, what do you think the difference is, etc.
Keep the footage coming and congrats on the sponsorship!
Thank you very much! Thats a good idea, maybe we could do a separate short format video where we go into an analysis of how we felt the match went etc. 👍
Are you now using the Slash 125? Thoughts? I've had one for a few weeks and like it but not completely sold on it. I think teardrop suits me better.
Yes I'm using the Spash 125 and my brother Perry is using Slash 120. Personally we absolutely love them, like I've been able to get used to it instantly and believe it suits my style. Give it a bit more time
@@teammaliksquash It certainly has helped my touch for drops, but I have felt my length has gone a bit short. I think once I replace the factory strings it'll be better. Thanks for the reply!
@@JimmyIsTheBest1 I always recommend taking out the factory strings straight away!! The tension is all over the place and likely not what you're used to at all

Great content! Congratulations
Appreciate it 👊
