Didn't like that first decision. Coll had not moved back to the T, he was a meter off of it, just Infront of where Farag needed to go if he was to pick that ball up. Really feels like a let.
The interference was primarily caused by the fact that Farag took an indirect line to the ball: he went the wrong way or froze initially, and then had to cut back on a line deeper in the court than usual to try to recover. Coll provided a direct line in front of him to retrieve that ball from the T. Therefore as long as Coll makes a full effort to continue to provide access, i.e. he does what he reasonably can to adjust for Farag's indirect line, then a no let is the correct decision. This is similar to the scenario that comes up more often when someone gets fooled by a trickle boast. It's a no let unless the person who hit it didn't provide a direct line from the T (hit it back at themselves) or doesn't continue to try to get out of the way.
Coll had to try and flip the ball back to the front wall very close to the back wall and off of his back foot. After getting "tapped" with the ball Farag looks back with a bit of frustration at Coll. Well, he was standing dead in line to the front wall. That is exactly why the ref called a stroke.
@@mohamedabbas2443 Farag still got to eat in the evenings and drink water during the day, so he wasn't fasting entirely the way many people try to make it sound. Paul still won a fair victory.
Technical perfection is sometimes a bit boring. But it is also to be appreciated. What makes these guys great ? Good movement. Good patience. Good consistency. Many with tiktok brains cannot appreciate this art form.
