@@barath4545 Dimi was also shaking hands with MvG while Kim was shaking hands with Danny, like there's not one sign he was leaving him hanging. During their interview, they were acting like a married couple and afterwards, they were hyping up the crowd together. There's a huge difference with last year.

I am not surprised that the Netherlands went out. Firstly MVG and Noppert are to different. Secondly Belgium has the advantage of having played two matches already, whereas the Netherlands had their first game.
That and MVG’s game is not what it was anymore.

Noppie was quite on it but MvG missed a shitload of doubles at critical times!
MvG still has his scoring power but needs to work out his doubling as he doesn't get 6 darts for his finishing anymore!

Netherlands had the highest average of the whole tournament but lost 8-2
Averages can just be very deceiving in a short-to-medium format like this
Because they lost and therefore had less Darts on doubles or missed Doubles. They‘re averages pretty much represents the scoring average. Thats why it is higher than belgiums average.
@@tomson-zo8swNo, what are you on about, losing doesn't mean that you had less darts at double, Belgium had more darts at double but The Netherlands had more missed darts at double making their average go lower, hit double the amount of 180s aswell so definitely had better scoring power

What an evening session 😮 N. Ireland through with Rocky, hosts Germany out (as much as I like both players, I'm happy they're out just for the fans), Wales out, Croatia through and last but not least, probably the best game in this tournament to end the session. As a Netherlands fan, this must feel terrible playing this good and getting battered by your fiercest rivals. For a neutral or a Belgian fan this game was just amazing to watch. Great finishes, good scoring, Noppert hitting 180's like he couldn't miss
The Netherlands didn't play well at all, which is why they were flogged by their southern neighbours. Hitting doubles is the most crucial part of the game.

They both had 15 darts on a double, Belgium had over 50% double success, which is mad for a pairs game. 2 out of 15 is too low to win a game, but from those 13 missed, 3 came at the end of a ton+ combination, and about 6 were on unfavorable doubles (like D7, D3, D5, D2 where the success percentage is always a bit lower). Nevertheless, they should've taken more than 2 legs, but as crazy as it sounds: Noppert was carrying MvG this game, where in the Belgian team Dimi did the scoring, Kim did the finishing
Isn't it kinda bad that Wales kept their seeded spot because of how late Gerwyn withdrew? Feels like a bug in the code.
Belgium would have become number 4 last minute then and they don't want to be seeded. They prefer being number 5 so they can already play the group stage

Beautiful first game by NI and Germany. It felt like Schindler and Rock were carrying their teams whereas Clemens and Dolan struggles a little. If this gets fixed, we have a contender for a deep run right here!
Not much to say here. France didn't show their best today and England played what they needed to play to get the win. Next match should be tougher, though.
Absolutely delighted for Krčmar and Grbavec! Especially Romeo played incredibly today. Can't blame Wales too much for losing this one, they didn't play badly. The Croatia vs Austria game tomorrow should be a good one!
Ton-plus average or not, 2/14 on checkouts is a deserved elimination for the Dutch. Belgium played really well today, which is disappointing, since due to historical reasons Dimitri and Kim feel more like two individuals rather than a team. Let's hope Italy can upset them tomorrow somehow.
Sorry, but Kim and Dimi are playing much better as a duo than last year, so they aren't playing as individuals. USA was a good example of how not to play in the world cup, while current Belgium is a good example of the duo needs to function with each other

Loads of comments about Rock and drugs. To be fair I noticed year ago or how long it is that at players championship he walked like super sonic , abnormally quick and his moves where out of the ordinary. So I had the feeling that he is under the influence and since then I focussed on him. He is pretty consistent with his body language. He is emotional type of player and can get very often up or down on his positive / negative expressions. That tells me that he can just be this way or he does a lot a of coke and often 😂😂🤣
