Our son has a 1955 3100 he bought from my dad before he passed away in 2014 ! He just put Chevy 383 stroker, auto, in it ! Gonna be a cool truck when he's done !👍
What a work truck turned into a gem. Damn the stories that truck could have told..I'd listened all day. Great work yall. Next time take off the nice rims and put on the ole beaters.. just cause it has covers in the front dont mean dirt or dust won't get on em from the back..lol. I don't think I've ever seen a battery lay on its side like that. Hmmmm
Excellent, my dream truck!!💯

Whats the deal with the panel on the back of the cab?
Love the build! Have a question. I am restoring a 55 as well. I did what it looks like you did. It appears you put the cowl vent cover, in front of the windshield, on after the windshield was put in. I have my windshield in and am having trouble putting the cowl vent cover on. I am being told that I have to remove the windshield (yuck!) and put the cowl vent cover on then put the windshield back in. Were you able to put the cowl vent cover in some other way? Would truly appreciate any help someone could give!
PAINSTAKING PERFECTION.... Its funny how when i have the money... i dont have time.... when i have time i dont have a damn shop space....i have been SLOWLY working on my 57 GMC deluxe cab.... since 2000.... yea its that SLOW.... id say im about 30 percent done....changes ... mistakes... some thievery can set you back big time... life changes as well.... my advice to ANYONE wanting to do a build.... ANY build.... stop. AND THHIINNKK IT THROUGH ...... THOROUGHLY CONSIDER EVERYTHING..... And start with the WORST CRAP FIRST.... Because over time the worst crap will only become MORE EXPENSIVE.... GOOD LUCK
What size of rear tyres have you managed to put on?
The photos are great but I’d like to see how it’s done. I’ve never understood how an old rusty truck gets saved.
Because its worth saving, at the end of the day the truck will always increase in value when new ones just lose value
@@robertmercer5759 you misread my post. I said I don’t understand how it’s done. I get why.
Love the truck great job sweet but the rims and tires suck just makes you want to walk away and not take a second look it's a truck put some rubber under it.
They probably didn't built this truck for you. Negative opinion not needed. You probably can't afford to build your own. Stay positive
WHAT WAS THE COST FROM START TO FINISH?
why doesn't anyone fill the cowl vent grille in front of the windshield? i think i will on my '55 i'm starting and supply air to the cowl from the grille sides, ram air style
COOL IDEA..... IM STEALING IT...... {THE IDEA}
What engine is that????
