I think the price would be higher for six people. The way that the fare is calculated for trains with private compartments should be as follows:
(# of people x basic fare) + (# of people x Green Car* fee) + room usage fee**
There may also be a minimum occupancy. If you’re traveling alone when a minimum of four people is required, you’d need to buy an additional three tickets. They don’t have to all be adult fares, though: you could buy one additional adult ticket and two child tickets (don’t forget the Green Car fee though!).
      * An additional fee charged for premium seating; on sightseeing trains like the Saphir Odoriko all seats are considered premium
** May vary depending on size of the party

Once Ukraine beats this monster I hope you guys don't make the mistake of rebuilding everything as a car-centric hellhole like much of the rest of the world did after the last war. High density walkable neighbourhoods with cycling infra and a robust local public transport system with national and international high speed and sleeper trains are where it's at.

Japan's train system is as corrupt as Ukraine itself. The whole thing is a scam... they replace 2 year old trains that no one rides just to have and excuse to dump tax payers money. There is more to it... you can google if you interested.

The ice cream scenario reminded me of days working in the first class on the plane. We had to time it well to defrost the Cassata (Italian gelato) so that when the desert trolley presented to the passengers it would be easily cut and portioned. If the cassata were like the state you shown in the video, we get a pretty bad scolding from our senior.

I could see that room being used by stuffy high-tier Japanese businessmen, like a CEO and his circle, having a board meeting on the go.

Причём у нас есть люксовые вагоны в некоторых фирменных поездах дальнего следования. Скорее всего, это не рентабельно пускать целиком люксовый состав вокруг озера, хотя... Китайские туристы купили бы.
