I watched this for the first time, and I laughed and cried, entranced throughout. Absolutely brilliant. I used to think that they'd always be there because they've always been there in my life time, and now they are in God's choir. They will live on forever. Am so glad I saw them and Robbie O'Connell (and met them) in concert one awesome weekend before death came calling. Music and memories treasured. And Gay Byrne -- what a master of the interview! Thanks for this super upload!!!
Damn I wanted to cry. The 8 segments.. they just didn't cover enough. I want to know so much more about my heroes, God bless all their souls. If only I had been a few generations earlier. My generation will never know this kind of true musical talent.
just wonderful to be able to catch up with all the Clancys and TM, hear the stories and songs, "Go Lassie Go" absolutely fine. Many thanks for this considerate posting.
Great songs, singers and musicians but to me the recovery from the alcohol was the most beautiful part. First of all the destruction caused by the drink and then of course the AisEirí.
Just perfect. A great row of other great Irish musicians at the front of the audience.

Thank you for this! I miss the Clancy's and Tommy Makem. Thank God we still have their music!
This was a favored song that my late brother used to sing and the sentiment and lyric still makes for sorrow.
They were classics. We'll never see their likes again. May they rest in peace.

I'm English but we'd hardly heard of them more's the pity, because they seemed to spend most of their time in America and Ireland.
Execellent!
