Good video! Honestly, I don’t feel like the sound is all that different, just a little lower. Not enough to want to remove the top housing all together. That said, I’m listening through a phone speaker so idk
Thankx for adderssing the question of the unlubed gateron yellows. I was THIS close to pausing the video and writing a comment about it, but I'm glad I waited ;)
“Vibration transfer between the hands…” lol a bit pedantic innit? I bet no one would ever notice this, not even the one making the video in a blind test. It is just a extremely detailed pedantic show of assumptions…
I know the common recommendation is for harder plates for tactiles but I like the opposite. I think tactility makes the hardness of a plate even more apparent, so I like polycarbonate for all applications
I use them as control for all of my keyboards so I can be sure that the differences I feel are from the board, not the switches. Gaterons because they're cheap and good enough and unlubed due to consistency concerns
I haven't tried pom on this board, but from other boards, I found the experience to be "taut" with not a lot of internal vibrations. I think that may mean that the effects of the gummyworm would not be very noticeable
Holy hell the amount of detail in this, mad respect for the visualization of your explanations
a gasket mount mod would benefit tray mounted keyboards far more in sound tests
I came here expecting gummy worms but ended up interested anyways

Ok now this was cool af lol good stuff
Stuff like this is why you are my favorite keyboard content creator. Keep it up!
This is exactly what I have planned for my Christmas break!
Do you have a link to the gummy worm material you used? Or the one that most people get?
Hi, I've added the links in the description
can i use this mod on hotswappable boards?
Thankx for adderssing the question of the unlubed gateron yellows. I was THIS close to pausing the video and writing a comment about it, but I'm glad I waited ;)
Gotta love your thoroughness in your videos, keep up the great work.
280mm? It has to be less than that no?
plates bad
I wonder if this still works with 0305 sockets installed?

If you've felt a board that does it, it's actually pretty obvious
Can some give me the link to the aliexpress one with the exact measurements
So I'm guessing you're emphasizing Polycarb plate for light linears, would you suggest the same for harder tactile switches like Pandas ?

would you recommend this on a POM plate?
