    I hope they will release a Lipo Cells voltage sensor to connect to the UART port. To have in the telemetry the voltage of each cells and to have the possibility to set the low battery voltage alarm on the lowest cells voltage instead of the total lipo battery pack voltage. I know you can do it Radiomaster ;-) And also receivers with gyro please !

      There is a 433mhz ELRS project on the way called TitanLRS. Thought its not using pwm Receivers. I don't see Radiomaster ever making a 433mhz module because their isn't a demand for it. At least not from the quad pilots which are their main demographic.

      @@don83030 I agree. I have drones and now i'm back into fixed wing. I just snagged an er6v and er8 and 333hz 16ch/2 is plenty fast for me. That's a 6ms pulse delay, about the same as a decent pc-monitor, which is 25x faster than a nerve signal from your brain to your finger. EdgeTx + ELRS is the future.

      ExpressLRS is not for everyone. For pilots that are happy with a closed, proprietary system then it can appear a little complex and unnecessary.
      For others (me included) who have been bitten by vendors stopping support for R/C systems when there is a heavy investment to make the customer buy it all again - ExpressLRS is the answer.
      This is why the system is so popular. Vendors like FrSky only have themselves to blame for making this look like such a good idea for so many pilots.

    I guess they will produce all the stuff frsky had offered in the last decade from pito tube over current sensor to gps support.
    What I always feel hard to understand that the old world has gone as it seems where you needed a 8 channel transmitter to run a 8 channel receiver while now every transmitter seems to be capable of running a 8 channel receiver. But that can not be said enough cause I had missed important things even though watching a lot of stuff cause I had believed I had to wait for a 6 channel pwm before replacing my old world with elrs to fly a plane with tilt and turn camera servo which required 6 channel, 1 motor, 3 plane, 2 camera platform at least.
    But I had been not aware that I could use those old matek 405 wing and the new speedy bee wing FC and run all these servers even with ELRS just from the beginning.
    I only came across when I looked into the Speedy Bee manual which had emphasized on elrs and wing plus camera configuration .
    I even had an elrs radio from radiomaster but was never aware that all of that would perfectly together until this week.
    I had not known about those additional or hidden channels that would work once elrs has been bound and connected to the FC.

I have heard that changing the 'speed' can affect it. i.e. "ELRS can be setup in the same manner as CRSF above , however, bit 13 of RC_OPTIONS should be set to alter the baudrate from 416KBaud that CRSF uses, to 420KBaud that ELRS uses. I've kept an eye on ELRS. My fleet is mainly Spektrum (from my pre TX16S days), Frsky and Radiomaster, with a smattering of Crossfire. I am going to get a couple of these for gliders that are Crossfire PWM at the moment. Tell me, if I want 6 active channels, am I OK with the 6 channel receiver or is one being wasted on this channel 5 high stuff?

    • @stefanpynappels7959
      @stefanpynappels7959 Год назад +1

      You map PWM5 to another channel, such as channel 7 or whatever. ELRS sends more than 6 channels and you can use whichever of them you want.

      @SuperSeagull12 Год назад +1

      ELRS is always 12-16 radio control channels, depending on how you configure it.
      The 6/8 channels on the receiver model refers to the number of PWM outputs.

      Lee, pretty exciting.. but unlike those you mention in your last paragraph who can’t wait to toss all their old receivers.. I find them very reliable so that’s the last thing I want to do.. I must ask is there a way to support D16 and D8 fly sky and Assan at the same time in a TX16S with a ELRS Tx module ? Or must I loose compatability with all my DIY 4in1 compatible receivers to use this.. I know next to nothing about ELRS and wonder if I can use the internal radio to retain legacy compatibility even with a ELRS Tx module installed?

    Are you aware of oXs sensor for RPI 2040? Seems like not. This offers full open source sensors for Sport Fbus Spektrum Graupner whatever

    Sometimes it seems to me that manufacturers specifically do not do what is needed. Thousands of pilots fly long distances - and companies - as if on purpose - do not release receivers for 915-868. It’s a pity. It’s clear to anyone that ANY receiver will work up to 200-400 meters. But for long distances, not any equipment. It’s a pity.

      I mean, there are ERLS receivers on that band still (barely) but the ranges achieved on 2.4 ELRS is so far beyond what anyone would realistically require. If the lower band had been what most people wanted the pilots/community and the receiver offerings would reflect that.

    • @jas-FPV

      Elrs 2.4 will get you miles and miles of range. Clearly you should do some checking the official Elrs range top list

    This is a total disappointment. I don't use 2.4ghz ELRS. I use 915mhz ELRS. Where's my 900 mhz band pwm receivers?

      2.4 is more than enough for 99.9% of users.
      You will never reach the limits LOS with 2.4

      @@jas-FPV well, for my FPV stuff I am not interested in this range limit. I'm looking for the kind of penetration and range that would reach maybe 20 miles out with lots of overhead powerlines in the area creating excessive RF noise. (Waivers present where required)

      @@spartan3299 I just use a Matek H743-WING or H743-WLITE and 915mhz ELRS receiver or now I'm experimenting with TD MX receivers. I have not done a range test yet, so I will not know if that link is as good as ELRS or not for a while. I'm in the middle of a rebuild.

      @@cwwisk fair, but sure you don’t fly LOS at 20 miles and for that you have decent options to connect to a fc… so why would you need PWM outputs then?
