Everything rising out of the sea would make sense for the ending, I think.
Walt Simonson's run on Marvel's Thor comic depicted the battle between Thor and Jormungandr beautifully. That would be interesting and therefore odas final war can have more freedoms but the backstory can have these mirrors and connections because well it’s just in the past. Just a little food for thought
The only straw hat I could see dying is Usopp because his dream in a way correlates to sacrifice because part of being brave requires sacrifice. Outside of Usopp though I agree I can’t see any of the straw hats dying cuz all of their dreams go beyond this war.
Counterpoint dofflamingo cant betray the world gov. Because he never really was on there said, he just worked there. Like kuma was the only one of the 7 warlords that ever showed up to the meetings. Not that there isnt time to get there cause he does fight for both sides as long as hes getting something out of it, like with the world gov. Kaido, and anyone he sold weapons, powers, and people to for money.
ehh. As someone who finally went full anime only. I just rush and see the end of every new chapter. Sometimes feels like everyone blows their mind ever new issue but it obviously could be cause i didnt read it. But overall i feel like one piece lately has been last page big changes...continue on next last page for the real meat lol. Sure that means skipping characterization etc but were kinda feeling it now...the story gotta pick up pace even more lol. Again to be fair i havent kept up besides anime but anime wise i got to the parts people were crying that their the greatest story ever told etc...and it's great but well see. Maybe anime pacing also messes things up. I was expecting golden age berserk writing or Monster etc where it's so beloved that everything flowed but it seems more hype for people like me who just like lore drops and exposition dumps and hype reveals over creative plot changes or developments towards the ending etc. Still like it though. Just got a bit really hyped for the wrong reasons. People do that sometimes. Also maybe it will be crazy later (anime only).
Here's the final match up imo Shanks vs garling Mihawk vs vnusjuro Kaido vs topman Mars vs jupeter Dragon and luffy vs imu On the other side from what you mentioned Doffy vs law and dressrosa team(viola is parallleling heimdall imo) Enel vs The void century equivalent of Nola(who is sleeping inside redline imo) Yamato and the scabards vs the holy knight(Yamato is panelling fenrir more than Oden since she has the dog-dog fruits) Rain god(like the sun god) vs akainu(tried my best to find a good freyr vs surtr) Shanks vs Blackbeard(shanks dies here imo)
Congratulations on getting into Norse myth! Now you know where all smart writers steal their ideas from when they need a cool name or just want something to be sufficiently metal! Also, hate to rain on your Doffy theory parade but the current peince of Elbaf is Prince Loki. Big Mom tried to get Lola to marry him but she didnt whixh is why Big Mom hates Lola. That being said, Doffy's role in the finale is gonna be really interesting, whatever it is.
@doronrosstuvia3489 Sure but I'm pretty sure if there's a boat named anything similar to the Naglfar (the fingernail boat), it's probably gonna be captained by Prince Loki, not Doffy
@@fenris5932 why not both? Imagine how hard of a final panel of a chapter would be with both of them on that ship together with doffy going, "let's destroy the perches of the false gods together," or something like that. The literal loki & the hypothetical loki.
@arkdetective again I fully expect Doffy to have a significant role in the final conflict vs the Celestial Dragons but pairing him up with the giants just seems sorta random when he has no connections to them
Yeah I’ve been talking about the prose eda on my tiktok. Based on that, my theory is that imu and lili were either married or suppose to be married, but he poisoned and killed Joyboy and that’s when lili betrayed Imu.
@@flippnwhat when I say “like Fenrir,” I mean an amalgamation because everything in One Piece is its own version combined with other creatures and lore. Like Ragnarok won’t just be Ragnarok, it’s going to be combined with every form of end of the world scenario - because that’s what Oda does. Dogs and wolfs share 98.8% of the same DNA. They are often confused with one another. Dogs are decedents of grey wolves. Like Fenrir, Yamato is also able to use ice abilities, was chained up, followed a prophecy, is rather large, and again, it isn’t 1 to 1 like anything One Piece, Yamato is an amalgamation of creatures or stories that are similar. At least that’s what I’m thinking.
@@doronrosstuvia3489 FYI: Enel was the one with El Thor not Kaido. In a similar vein to El Thor (naming wise) Kaido had an attack called Lighting Hammer: Ragnarok. But El Thor is the move Enel used when he smited people

Counter idea: What if the Strawhats don’t represent the Asgard? What if they’re instead more the giants? Because they’re allied with giants, and oppose gods. Just a thought.
Tyr has comparisons to shanks and if they're going that poems route that would mean that imu is related to shanks in some way. And lilly can be frig in some sorts
As a kid I read the Norse myths as a story of the old reality, meaning we live in a post Ragnarök world. Basically the way the myths were told in the books I had made them feel as a prequel to the bible.
The Risky Bros. fom Thriller Bark coincidentally fit as the messenger squirrels? Lola is the link to Loki/Asgard, and their zombie forms were squirrels. Functionally, they did act as messengers in the Thriller Bark arc. It's not a great fit, but weird coincidence.
Side tangent, we already know a Loki actually exists in flesh because Lola, Chiffons (bege's wife) sister from Thrillerbark (the zombie hippo lady) she was to marry Loki in arranged marriage through big mom so she could have a foothold in Elbaf but Lola fled because she wanted to marry for love. but the idea of Doflamingo taking the role of a Lore accurate loki despite having a real loki is very interesting. Good video. Edit: Oda also grew up on cartoons like Vicky the Viking so i have no doubt he has a strong regard for Norse Myth
12:27- Maybe Pluton can literally raise the dead- as Pluto/Hades is the god of the underworld (not death- that's Thanatos) and the earth- which the Underworld is situated under.
Bro I been searching one piece final war for months now and finally someone makes a video on it and on top of that she’s freaking gorgeous lmao I know not relevant but definitely a plus.
My predictions for the match ups going forward: Shiryu vs Yamato Kuzan vs Yamato Dragon and Luffy vs Imu Luffy vs Blackbeard Greenbull vs Hancock Shanks vs Blackbeard Mihawk vs St Venus Akainu vs Sabo It's hard to predict any other match ups because we know nothing about the God's knights and how Oda will use them in the story.
Here's how it might unfold: 1. The Great Battle: Just like in Norse mythology, there could be an epic final battle, with the Straw Hat Pirates (Luffy and his crew) going up against an alliance of powerful enemies such as Blackbeard, the World Government, and even Kaido or the Celestial Dragons. Each side could represent different god-like figures or giant forces, with major pirates or world powers embodying mythic figures from Ragnarok, such as Odin, Thor, or Loki. 2. Natural Disasters and the End of the World: The world of One Piece could experience massive natural disasters like giant tsunamis, volcanic eruptions, and storms that devastate islands. Perhaps the Red Line could collapse, leading to massive geographical changes, or the Calm Belt could become chaotic. These disasters might be triggered by ancient weapons like Pluton or Uranus. 3. Devil Fruits and Mythology: Some Devil Fruits could be inspired by Norse gods or creatures from Ragnarok. For example, a new Mythical Zoan Fruit might allow its user to transform into a Fenrir-like wolf or a serpent like Jormungandr. Perhaps Luffy or his allies could discover a power tied to an ancient prophecy, with Luffy standing in for the hero figure like Thor. 4. The Rebirth of the World: After the massive battle and destruction, the world could go through a "rebirth." This might involve a new world order, with the fall of the current corrupt powers and the rise of a more just society, as the Will of D. could come into play, revealing its true purpose in reshaping the world. 5. Themes of Fate and Free Will: Like Ragnarok, which is prophesied and inevitable in Norse myth, this storyline might explore themes of destiny and whether the pirates can defy fate, similar to how Luffy always fights against the odds and breaks the rules of the world. A "One Piece Ragnarok" would be a high-stakes, world-altering event, combining the adventurous spirit of the series with the mythic scale of Norse legend!
This is absolutely something I’ve been waiting on. Especially how Prince Loki is most likely based on Utgard Loki, not the most famous loki, and therefore will most likely judge a Davy Back between the Straw Hats and the Red Hairs. Also on my Radar is Akainu, who I think during the final war will have a mental break and assume the role of Surtr. Massacre-ing a big portion of the world and making everyone at the Dawn rethink “Justice.”
Surt could in theory be Sabo as well, but I'm also on the Sakazuki agenda. Mostly bc having the fleet admiral tear apart the land of the gods is metal as hell.
I said this for months I feel like Elbaf will be another water 7, in which the another half the crew will end up on the moons. In Northern mythology the great tree expense to several worlds, and since we have several moons, it makes sense. That’s when we will meet Enel and urouge, and see the theory of them being connected is true. Also, my copuim have me believe that our final straw hat with join in those arcs in which I still believe it could be carrot and moons could be her major power ups to make us believe that she is useful 😅
Merphy Napier, if my theory is right (Lots of Snakes in One Piece). Then we will see probably see Thor Vs. Jörmungandr in the form of Luffy (Gear 5), or another possible Prince of Elbaf, Thor. Not confirmed. But if it goes of the lore of Norse. Then again, Luffy (Gear 5) Vs. Kaido in the last arc looked similar to it to.
I could see this being a component of the void century final battle and there will be parallels and flashes to the previous fight with these current characters but it will be up to the current characters to change their fate
I've also read the poems, and I am convinced Fenris will eat someone before literally getting stepped on. And possibly spitting out the victim bc of it. It's totally an Oda move and will both be myth accurate and hilarious.
Heimdal vs Loki Saint Garling vs Doflamingo or the God's knights vs CrossGuild! Odin vs Fenrir Shanks vs Blackbeard or Red hair Pirates vs Blackbeard pirates.
I love this. I love this idea of the Final War modeling Ragnorök. And the end of Ragnorök basically being the start of the book of genesis (a lone man and woman and a single Baldur is all that's left) means that Luffy will 100% be involved. His status as Nika the Sun God basically makes him Baldur. I know Oda did this with Wano but I think Elbaf is going to be broken up into nine counties or lands, like the number of world on Yggdrasil. I have long thought the Adam Tree was on Elbaf and the Final War will start with the collapse of the Adam Tree on Elbaf and end with the collapse of the Eve Tree over Fishman Island when the Red Line is destroyed. My only question is how is Oda going to adapt Odin? Odin's biggest feature is having an eyepatch but I doubt Odin will the eyepatch Pirate we are all waiting for.
I've been thinking for a while that Luffy would defeat Blackbeard/Imu/the final boss by unraveling the Grand Line, turning one end into a giant fist and then smashing it down on Mary Geoise. Similar in idea to Jörmungandr unraveling and causing the end of the world.
She missed, or had a different interpretation of Ragnarok, that after Surtur burns the world and the world flood to put out the flames, the last two gods, Magni sone of Thor and another one, will exit a lone cedar tree which protected them. With them, the last of humanity will emerge from the tree to rebuild the world.
If the final war is gonna be based on Ragnarok, I have a theory that Akainu will play the role of Surtr. He’s a dark horse contender for the one who will claim Pluton, he has beef with pirates and the other branches of the World Government, and he has the power to reduce landscapes into flaming wastelands
Just to clarify, I’m sure Prince Loki (the giant) will still play a roll in all this too! Like I said in the video, Oda likes to tangle his influences together. That would be interesting and therefore odas final war can have more freedoms but the backstory can have these mirrors and connections because well it’s just in the past. Just a little food for thought
I had the exact same thought. It would make sense that void century would be what happened after the war was lost.
6:29 “he has an informant who shall not be named” SAY HIS NAME, speak of the glorious, fantastical, kind, brave, generous, and handsome king CARIBOU🤣🤣
Love how everyones coming to the same conclusions as morj did ages ago when everyone said he was nuts
0:30 The Original Troll XD
Kudos Merphy you are still going down the rabbit hole...please play the 2 lastest god of war.
The only straw hat I could see dying is Usopp because his dream in a way correlates to sacrifice because part of being brave requires sacrifice. Outside of Usopp though I agree I can’t see any of the straw hats dying cuz all of their dreams go beyond this war.
Merphy should get a myths book in the future ;)
I mean the fact that loki is the king of the giants that big mom wanted lola to marry means he might still lead an army of giants
you did mention Tyr, the one armed war god, so that's likely Shanks
as for the beast Tyr fights; Garm the hound of hell, that might be blackbeard
Counterpoint dofflamingo cant betray the world gov. Because he never really was on there said, he just worked there. Like kuma was the only one of the 7 warlords that ever showed up to the meetings. Not that there isnt time to get there cause he does fight for both sides as long as hes getting something out of it, like with the world gov. Kaido, and anyone he sold weapons, powers, and people to for money.
I can see Elbaf been a pit stop for luffy then everyone comes in to fight and the ones that survive are the ones that go to laughtale to end the story
Tyr is pronounced "Tier" i believe. Good viking metal band too.
6:30 VOLDEMORT WORKS FOR BLACKBEARD?!?!
I forgot you only read the official translation and i thought this was the reaction to the crazinest that was the latest chapter
Here's the final match up imo
Shanks vs garling
Mihawk vs vnusjuro
Kaido vs topman
Mars vs jupeter
Dragon and luffy vs imu
On the other side from what you mentioned
Doffy vs law and dressrosa team(viola is parallleling heimdall imo)
Enel vs The void century equivalent of Nola(who is sleeping inside redline imo)
Yamato and the scabards vs the holy knight(Yamato is panelling fenrir more than Oden since she has the dog-dog fruits)
Rain god(like the sun god) vs akainu(tried my best to find a good freyr vs surtr)
Shanks vs Blackbeard(shanks dies here imo)
I think IM is a reference to Yimir we will learn alot about them in the Elbaf Arc
Luffy Hat is the representative of Grand Line . That Red Line on His Hat !!
Yeah, but we don’t know much about this Loki. Doffy can easily represent Loki’s role in Ragnarok even with another character named Loki.
@doronrosstuvia3489 yeah, as merphy said, "oda doesn't usually do 1:1 when it comes to influences."
Doffy and Croco boy are the two characters I’m most interested to see used in the final war
5:21 i dint know if youll touch on it but Kaidos Attack "Ragnarok"(Ragnaraku) and Rogers Attack "Divine Departure "
The start of your video reminds me of Bao Huang the flying squirrel of the beast pirates who acted as the messenger making updates in the Wano war.
Considering I think Kaido was Thor with his El Thor attack and Yamato was Fenrir, I think this is an apt comparison.
@@doronrosstuvia3489what makes you think Yamato was a parallel to Fenrir other than having a dog zoan devil fruit ?
But El Thor is the move Enel used when he smited people
@@y0sh_ Ah, I’ve been rewatching Skypiea recently and must have gotten it confused because Kaido’s move is Ragnarok.
I think the only one with the capacity to swallow odin and his men, is the big Sandworm. So my prediction is that Yamato and Samurai will get eaten by the Sandworm and Momo will save them with a Blastbreath.
Counter idea: What if the Strawhats don’t represent the Asgard? What if they’re instead more the giants? Because they’re allied with giants, and oppose gods. Just a thought.
I want to see Yamato combine Thunder Bagua with Enel’s Lightning Spear
No beasts wrecking the world and sowing chaos? No giant wolf?
Blackbeard's titanic commanders certainly fit the bill, right? Especially San Juan Wolf?
Tyr has comparisons to shanks and if they're going that poems route that would mean that imu is related to shanks in some way. And lilly can be frig in some sorts
Big News Morgan is the squirrel!
As a kid I read the Norse myths as a story of the old reality, meaning we live in a post Ragnarök world. Basically the way the myths were told in the books I had made them feel as a prequel to the bible.
This new chapter oda have been teasing us so much whhhhhhyyyy
The Risky Bros. fom Thriller Bark coincidentally fit as the messenger squirrels? Lola is the link to Loki/Asgard, and their zombie forms were squirrels. Functionally, they did act as messengers in the Thriller Bark arc. It's not a great fit, but weird coincidence.
Somebody poisoned the water hole.
Side tangent,
we already know a Loki actually exists in flesh because Lola, Chiffons (bege's wife) sister from Thrillerbark (the zombie hippo lady) she was to marry Loki in arranged marriage through big mom so she could have a foothold in Elbaf but Lola fled because she wanted to marry for love.
but the idea of Doflamingo taking the role of a Lore accurate loki
despite having a real loki is very interesting.
I love how every time a new chapter drops, like 5 different youtubers have solved the ending of One Piece.
I'm loving the pronunciation
If Yggdrasil goes up into the sky islands or higher, I think there's a good chance Eneru is coming back.
My predictions for the match ups going forward:
Shiryu vs Yamato
Kuzan vs Yamato
Dragon and Luffy vs Imu
Luffy vs Blackbeard
Greenbull vs Hancock
Shanks vs Blackbeard
Mihawk vs St Venus
Akainu vs Sabo
It's hard to predict any other match ups because we know nothing about the God's knights and how Oda will use them in the story.
Interesting take from the Norse mithology, I love it 😍💖 (yup, doflamingo, enel, yamato, momonosuke & red scabbards may all go in the Ragnarok 😱🖤)
Here's how it might unfold:
6:18 The moon has to be St. Figarland Garling though, right? Because of the hair?
Loved it! But remember Vegapunk uses AtoUm energy. Atom! Nuclear energy!
When thinking about the friends we've made along the way, Bartholomew seems like a good Ratatskr candidate
Didn’t they already introduce Loki though? 🤔
I could see this being a component of the void century final battle and there will be parallels and flashes to the previous fight with these current characters but it will be up to the current characters to change their fate
Ah Ratatoskr, he is a summon in the game god of war..... what a prick
0:30 You mean Big News Morgan’s? although he is not a squirrel but a bird
I've also read the poems, and I am convinced Fenris will eat someone before literally getting stepped on. And possibly spitting out the victim bc of it.
It's totally an Oda move and will both be myth accurate and hilarious.
2:30 Loki is already a named character in one piece. Just a heads up.
Yeah I'm surprised she didn't mention him
I think she means Doffy might take the role of "Loki" in the final war.
Big News Morgan VS. Gossip Pirate Ratatosk is the mirror match I did not know I wanted but now I need.
Oooo betting someone will have the horse-horse fruit, model: Sleipnir
Maybe egghead is the Ragnarok?
The Loki = Doffy parallels were astounding!
Guys give some love to the butterfly myth video. It was awesome!
metaphorically. the squirrel is usopp
Ms. Napier that is the orangest shirt I've ever seen.
From the way that lore ends I wonder if Ragnarok is actually what happened during Void Century with the world sinking and all that’s left is “void”
Heimdal vs Loki
Saint Garling vs Doflamingo or the God's knights vs CrossGuild!
Odin vs Fenrir
Shanks vs Blackbeard or Red hair Pirates vs Blackbeard pirates.
I'm betting Luffy will lose an eye in Elbaf, gain wisdom, and put on an eye patch like a _real_ pirate!
I've been thinking for a while that Luffy would defeat Blackbeard/Imu/the final boss by unraveling the Grand Line, turning one end into a giant fist and then smashing it down on Mary Geoise.
Similar in idea to Jörmungandr unraveling and causing the end of the world.
Frame one GYAT
