Speaking as an engineer I found this is a very watchable and inspiring video. The bit that stands out for me is how the guys seem undaunted by what looks like an impossible task, especially given the lack of a decent workshop. In the UK we would just condemn a chassis that was this badly damaged. Congratulations to everyone involved.
The standards are lower in those countries. It’s more like a bush fix than a rebuilt to specs. I didn’t see anything difficult in this one. If it’s damaged, weld some shit on it. If it too damaged, cut and replace with something that fits. Replacing Surface mount components on a hard drive controller is much harder than this for example.
This should be titled THE PAKISTANIS " WE CAN FIX ANYTHING GARAGE" I'M SERIOUSLY IMPRESSED WITH THESE GUYS. SHADE TREE MANUFACTURING AND ENGINEERING AT IT'S FINEST. BRAVO
These guys have earned my respect they know how to work on those hino trucks with little resources and little tools they got that truck rebuilt in no time over here in America with all the tools and resources that is available they worked together without any anger or confusion much respect to those mechanics keep up the good work if I had a truck fleet these guys would have a sure job
That is one of the strongest frames I have ever seen that truck will hull a mountain and more one strong truck . Great video and good workmanship as always.
Actually I think welding all layers together makes it to rigid. You want more flexibility especially when the chassis is this long. I would use bolts and rivit to hold the chassis layers together. That way it is also easier to repair.
At first glance it would be easy to think that the standard of the repairs coming out of a workshop like this would be less than satisfactory. The shop and the tools used might look below standard, but the end result is outstanding! 👍
These guys are nuts man. Simply outstanding. Great improvisation over factory work. Engineering made look so simple. Seems like Mason, plumber carpenters are building heavy equipment.
