well, 2 things you didn't mention, the new water pump for folktails has 4 tiles deep instead of 2 and the ironteeth badwater discharger generates bad water even throufh the drough seasons
badwater dome and badwater discharge act the same when closed but differently when open as the iron teeth get a continuous flow in the drought season. irrigation barriers work differently for the two factions as well as one faction has everything blocked and the other just has badwater blocked. I'm guessing you didn't mention the huge changes in irrigation because it's still in major flux but probably a great topic for your next video.
I missed the info about Iron Teeth badwater during draught and irrigation barrier working differently. Good catch. There was so much going on with irrigation i can skipped it, and i dont like how its working today either :/
@@itszeeeti not a fan myself of the most recent irrigation changes. I'm kind of getting used to them but my nice waterfall into a one wide deep canal had to be converted into a chunky 3 by 3 series of squares that really don't look as good. Think there still needs to be a lot of balancing done between the old system and the new
The only folktails-only use of extract is making the catalyst in the refinery - the explosives and dirt extractor are the same for iron teeth. I hope they get some more in the future.
@@itszeeeti well shit.... I also have a save in the experimental before it went live. Any idea if it's possible to bring experimental saves to the live?
Experimental saves are in different folder, for me they are in username\Documents\Timberborn\, then you have ExperimentalSaves and Saves folder. Move world you want to Saves and it should work
@@itszeeeti Thanks a ton! ^^ Sidenote: Is it just me or would an toggleable option on Water Pumps to automatically "Halt during Droughts" be a welcome addition? Lost count of how many times I've forgot to turn them off when one hits or turn them on when it ends. And lets be honest, the need to go into Workplaces menu and turn them all off and on one by one over and over does get tedious.
Instead of using those contamination barriers on your main river the best thing to do is to create a redirection of the river and put flood gates on it, that way when a red wave comes you just close one floodgate and open the other and you can keep you crops watered.
@@itszeeeti well keep me in the loop if you do figure something out , freaking sucks now there is barley any expansion and its all stuck to water sources so besides blowing everything up and creating huge rivers which is doable but a pain idk just don't like how they took that gave no other solution .
i have an exploit (kinda). You can use 3*3 water ponds with the small pumps to keep a big area from the influence of bad water. And it also irrigates in a 10-12 block circle.
I found the easiest thing is just to put floodgates on the water source and raise them when the badwater comes to direct the badwater off-map. It's really just a drought with extra steps.
I like the concept of handling water around terrain, but I don't like all the intricate, immersion breaking content they're adding :/ And the graphics are ugly at that. This game isn't living up to its reputation for me.

2:41 i send my deepest condolences for thoes two poor beavers ;(
RIP for our beaver bros
"Your beavers will not touch the water and stay healthy...except these two [dead ones]." 😁
We don't talk about these 2 lol

I hope so too
Bad tide caught me off guard twice
Be careful, badwater is scary
It's made game challenging but people probably didn't like it if it was hard to shift the path of water
Excellent video, surprised you don't have more subscribers! But I subscribed. Keep them coming - thank you.
Thanks for the kind words, I'll keep making good videos and subs will come :)
@@itszeeeti they will for sure. I love a video under 5 or 10 minutes. Nice, to the point. You nailed this in the 12, as there is so much to cover.
Surely the Bad Water threat should be toggleable with a default state of OFF on existing saves, right?
Nope, badwater is on and can't be turned off in settings.

Excellent video, great tips!
Glad it was helpful!
I notice you don't dam up the banks of the river, so that you can contain more water during drought seasons. How do you prevent crops drying out?
Hey, this video is about showing new features and buildings in Timberborn Update 5. It's not a let's play. Don't play like I did in this video 😂
@@itszeeetiokay, that makes me feel a little better! :-D

I haven't found a solution. I don't like it either, hope we get a new building for that

Happy you found the video useful 😊
wait it’s out already?!
Experimental branch
Out in experimental branch
@@itszeeeti Oh yeah I knew that it was out in experimental, but from the title it seemed like it was full release
Another great video motivating me to get back into the game!
Come back to Timberborn, we are having fun here
Maybe one day we will have a real sun light
Yes, and with raytracing 😯
Iron Beavers should be called Pod beavers.they spend their lives in pods.
clones / borg instead, cause that is what they are.
hahaha that would be interesting :D
The game also runs badly, you forgot to add that, and laggy as hell since update 5 came out.
You really need to increase your audio dude.
Check your pc or phone audio. Sounds good here
Contamination barriers are ugly and a waste of space. Surely there is a better solution coming in the future.
Agree with you, now its up to us to design better solution to this problem

Thats okay, all of us have different taste. There are a lot of other games that you can play and have fun
Timberborn is the worst game ever.
Naahhh
Diablo 4 is worse than Timberborn
