Excellent design and excellent price. I wish the Los Angeles was like this. 3D plans for the sonar dome, sail, towed array, and tailcone, and source your own PVC pipe for the body. Not sure how you feel about undercutting your European suppliers, but if you were to come out with something like that, it would be a welcome addition. 👍
This is exactly the project that I am doing! I first wanted to make it from a large diameter drain/sewer pipe, but I might end up fully printing it too :) I think I'll still draw my own, as that really is part of the fun to me. Might end up buying the blueprints to use as a template/check though :) awesome idea and awesome work!
I am building a Virginia class sub right now my self but I think once my Virginia is done I will build one of these amazing boats! I will play the hunt for red October theme every time I put her to sea!
This is too cool, these new 3D printed models are awesome, I am getting ready to start an Rc conversion on a Bronco 1/35 scale Type XXIII U-Boat, but a large scale Type XXI is the dream, and the 3d printed model seems about perfect for that goal!
Second vote for the Red October variant: no prop shrouds, towed sonar array pod on the top stabilizer fin, “caterpillar drive” doors, flat-sided sail base, and 12-23m (depending on which source you use) longer. Thank you.
Oh my! ... I mean I've been out of RC for a bit with life... but how did I not know you had this and other fantastic files up ... Once I finish moving and get my hobby stuff sorted back in a useable configuration... definitely get my hands on a few of those files :D just got a big new printer I wanna put through paces and test some new filament too (unfortunately got it right before finding out I have to move .. doh )
How simple would it be to build this kit simply as a display model? There are no other kits designed for 1:144 and the model seems to be really well done, but I am not looking to build a working model. Also, what size printer bed was this designed for? I have an Ender 3, 235x235x250mm Thank you so much, and great video!
Bonjour. C’est une très très belle construction.. J’adore. Pourriez-vous m’indiquer où le fichier d’impression est disponible à l’achat ? Merci d’avance..
What is the size of the files please (I already have a STL file of a typhoon but can’t do anything with it because of its 500Mo size...)? Do you only sale STL format or other ones too?
Yessir. Results were mixed. I believe at the end of the day he elected to go with a filament print. I'm sure this will change over time with new resin availability
I like how he calls it a boat, I dont think its really a boat, I think it's an absolute unit if I'm correct it is only 2 tons less than the uss Iowa witch is the longest battleship ever made not the heavyset but the longest witch I guess u could say it's the biggest

this is just a badass model. got the files. will get one printed. thanks Bob!

Hi, just wanted say I really enjoy your channel.I enjoy modeling rockets but have always had a thing for subs. Thanks for posting...

Now all you need to do is add 6 torpedo tubes and 20 ballistic missile tubes
Yes
And a “Caterpillar Drive.”
11:42 pity you did not showed how you connected stern dive planes with control rod :/
Didn’t Know Ryan Seacrest was
Into Submarines. Great Job!

Files for the XXI are on my site!
@@RCSubGuy Those are the ones I am looking at, seems like an awesome build, albeit more challenging than this little type XXIII
Also is there a complete package available for all the electronics and dive equipment that I can purchase to complete this model?
Once I get my 3d Printer I am going to get the files, there is one thing that if you could pull it of would be epic, a Red October variant.

It's beautiful!
I have made 2 RC submarine but I have problems with the RC submarine's propeller, it's hard to find in my country
much better model than the previous one
Another beautiful models

Brilliant! what other tech will i need to make it work!
Brings me back to my childhood!
Que bonito submarino es una pena que no me pueda permitir el STL me encanta ese submarino ruso tienes un nuevo sub gracias por tu contenido de calidad

Thank you so much, and great video!
Max part size is 170mm tall, so you've got plenty of room in your Ender. Of course you can build it for static display.
What is the brand of glue you use, thanks
Can anyone recommend a good printer to make kits like this? Thanks,
I want to build a typhoon rc sub so bad, but I don't know were to start

J’adore.

Merci d’avance..
Do you sale 1:100 scale files too?
These are 3D files. Simply scale up the 1:144 scale files and you can make them any scale you'd like.

@@StephaneMayeux Total zip file size is around 40mb. STL format only.
Very convenient size! I’ll buy today!
How well do you think this would translate to be scaled up to 1:100?

Is this the easiest Model to Print and assemble from Nautilus Drydocks?
No, Permit would likely be the easiest. Typhoon has retracting planes and dual shafts. It all adds complexity
How big or what model 3d printer is needed for RC models of this size? Thanks
Almost any printer you can get nowadays will be large enough. I think max z height is 170mm in this file.
Bought the files. What are your thoughts about using PETG instead of PLA?
That would be a great idea. PETG is more thermally stable, though harder to print.
how many parts included in this stl file
Great job..What printer do you have?
Currently? A pair of Dremel 3D45's, a Delta Wasp Pro and two Anycubic Mono X's.
Excellent work! Are you selling this one?
How do you remove the mold lines from the printing?
Spray on a coat of high-build primer, then sand thoroughly. Repeat until you’re satisfied. No magic. Just hard work.
You could always print with abs and use acetone to smooth it out
The project to use on the 3D machine you could provide.
that was REALLY Awesome
How much are the files it’s not listed
when prices
Are not clearly marked.
Can’t know right away
If your budget makes it possible.
Could i print this in parts on a 270mm(L)×210(W) ×190mm(H) bed?
Yes, that should be an adequate size to build this model.
@@RCSubGuy Thank you
How much filament is needed for this model?
Assume you'll need about 1.5kg.
just wondering has anyone done this on a 3d resin printer ?
Yessir. Results were mixed. I believe at the end of the day he elected to go with a filament print. I'm sure this will change over time with new resin availability
Hey do you have any plans to do a Akula class sub for 3d Print for sale?
No immediate plans at this time, but it's definitely possible in the future.
I would also love Akula. I’ll keep checking back 😃
Nice job! Get me a German WW2 U-boat and its deal!
I cant sea the Download files

Hi, is there are Promo code for this? i wanna buy the STL files and make one :)
Promo code? No sir. The price is more than fair for this product and you'll find that the value is there at the "normal" price.
Love it!
I think i found my birthday present

Submarines are called Boats, and surface ships are called targets/ships
WOW! and I thought arkmodel was great!
but... A 3D printer? maybe I can ask someone else to print it--
Pay them a little something.
Work out a deal...
@@nicksavage4763 if i did that i could just pay a bit more and have it seaworthy right out of the box!

Nice submarine. Bad site
