Dave shows us how this RC torpedo system works and loads up a tube for a demo. After this launch he thought a little more gas would be better for a better range of the torpedo. We look forward to seeing him try it out at the next meeting.

I have seen electric torpedoes. They seem more impressive.
That said, the level of engineering Dave put into that torpedoe system was brilliant!

Redesign the torpedo to each have a fuel cell inside that will allow gas to slowly be used, causing the torpedo to travel 175 feet at a decent speed.

Can they fully submerge and still drive or does the top piece need to be above water to drive it

They can fully submerge to about 1.5 m depth

noticed some subs on display had anchors i served in subs and not one had an anchor because they were not used we tie up next to a jetty or a ship at anchor , there is no room for the anchor cable or a capstan to wind it back in , so model makers strip off that anchor and look real .

WWII submarines had anchors, google Gato / Balao class submarines for pictures. At the position of the anchor you could even identify the builder of the sub.
