AYOOOOOO Let's Goooooooo! Man...There are so many other points that were not mentioned. I'll touch more on the specifics in my Discord response, but man. This episode does not do this card justice lol. I will say that KINNAN does not want this card. More to come in the discord. Also... Some minor corrections: Kinnan's Trigger'd Abiilty is a Triggered *mana* ability that does not use the stack and cannot be targeted by the Tidebinder ETB. Pithing needle only affects Activated Abilities. Tishana's Tidebinder causes the textbox to *blank OUT* (IE, it loses indestructible, it loses flying, it loses ward, etc.) *AND* since the ETB of Tishana's tidebinder targets *abilities on the stack*, it will get around ward triggers, as well.
Card is good in decks with untap synergy and flicker. Derevi/Emiel decks can easily keep open 3 mana without obvious telegraphing (since they're just always doin that). Having Emiel/ephemerate/etc.. lets you reuse the tidebinder to reuse it onto other targets to get more value. Not a lot of decks will have access to both untap+flicker, but GU and WU decks often have some ways to do this. You can also get cute and toss this on a clone effect like Mimic Vat so it's stifle/pith on a stick and make use of artifact untappers to fund it.
Id love to hear your guys opinions about Mosswood Dreadknight. Ive been trying it in my Tymna the Weaver/Ikra Shideki deck and its been a great card for this midrange meta we have been in. A great trample attacker for tymna, trades up in blocking, recurable attacker and gives you extra cards. Ive been really enjoying it. Now admitably i know its better for tymna but i still like the little guy. Thanks for the podcast fellas! Always enjoy listening.
