"Watching this really helped lift my spirits today. It’s amazing how travel can bring so much joy and perspective, even from behind a screen. Thank you for sharing such beautiful moments-definitely needed this! 🙏🌍" - Not a computer 2025 But like for real..... Justin is the best main character.
What an amazing experience! Thank you for sharing and allowing us to see these marvelous places that exist in our amazing planet. What a beautiful shot of the northern lights! Wonderful!
Ah! Always love when your videos are uploaded-the filmmaking, the informative nature, and fun you always have are awesome! Also appreciate your honesty and sense of humor. So goooood!
Great video Claire. Looking forward to the rest of the series., I remember the first time I saw the northern lights it was basically in my backyard, it was right after dusk and I think I was in my early teens, I had no idea what it was at first… some friends and I looked up and we thought the sky was on fire… and then it turned into one of the most beautiful things I had ever seen. Even though we were in the suburbs, it wasn’t in the middle of nowhere so there was a lot of light pollution but it was that intense that we got quite a show….. the next time I saw the northern lights was more intentional and a lot less light pollution but still just outside of Edmonton Alberta… I feel lucky that I didn’t have to get on a plane and fly halfway around the world but it is definitely an experience that everyone should see at least once in their lives! Thank you Claire for bringing me back to those memories…. And sharing some of your own.
awesome video!! I'm going to Tromso in a couple of weeks. Unfortunately I don't have many equipment but an Iphone 15 pro max. Is this enough to capture good pictures of the lights?
As long as you keep the phone still by leaning it against something or putting it on the tripod it can accomplish quite a lot. I hope you enjoy Tromso!
Your iPhone will work, there is a night mode, you just have to hold still or put the phone down and set a timer for photos. You can also use the phone camera to scan the sky for faint northern lights, you'll see it on the phone screen before seeing it with your eyes. Once you get a strong light show its super bright. Some tours will take photos of you plus photos of just the lights and send them after!
The gear I used is in the description, there's no phone footage in this episode. Using the video mode on your phone should work if you keep the phone still.
Have you seen northern lights? It's been an exciting year for them!
Seeing the northern lights moving/dancing above us was top 5 experiences of my life for sure!! I'll never get over it!
I can't believe the level of detail y'all got! Such incredible views😍

lol, I'm glad he's finally embracing his main character energy. He fully takes over the vlog in episode 4 of the series and it's amazing.
Someday dreamssss!!! Thank you for sharing such gorgeous scenery with us! Can't wait to see more of your adventures!

I was there in Tromso in Nov-2023. Wonderful landscape!
Beautiful with the appropriate music in the background!!
I hope to see the Northern Lights one day
She's back!!
Yup! Every week for three more weeks! Then we need to see how many decades it takes me to edit our videos about Japan 🫣
Beautiful...
Beautiful shots of the aurora.... Do you recommend a particular tour?
We went with Greenlander Tours. We wanted a small group and they had a last minute spot open! ArcticPhotoGuide was another option but he was booked.

I used a pixel 7 pro last time I was up north and got such clear pictures of the Aurora just on the Auto mode.
Hi, I’m planning to see the northern lights in Norway in Oct/Nov? Could you share which the dates / period you were there! Thanks very much!
This was in mid January 2024, I hope you have a beautiful trip!
Hi Claire did you record this with your phone? Does it work just recording with Video Option rather than hyperlapse?
