I enjoy this a lot. I haven't kept up with LMTF for a few years, still grab their albums though. An Eye For An Eye will always have a special place with me though.
@Travis Evolution of music Id even argue that the Post-Hardcore genre has the best vocalists currently of the all the subgenres of Rock. Of course it is all subjective but I have always felt Toby Morrell and Devin Shelton of Emery are two of the most talented as well as overlooked vocalists/songwriters in the genre. They are labeled as a 'Christian' band and I feel like that turns off a large amount of potential fans. Their lyrics do tend to have a religious overtone on a handful of songs, but the majority of them don't sound preachy at all. It's ironic that as an agnostic person my favorite band is technically a 'Christian' Post Hardcore band.
This is so late .. I kept being confused on why everybody kept calling him Chris when clearly his name is Jeremy Smith, but I misread his name for the guitarist's name 2 years ago and have just been calling him Jeremy ever since. Like I met him twice, got pictures with him twice posted them on Instagram twice, and called him Jeremy Smith for twice years. I'm gonna kill myself 🤣🤣🤣
This track really isolates how high Chris is actually singing. it never really feels that high with that rasp on the higher notes but damn he has a great range.
Phymatic it’s more that his cleans are so exhausting and he’d go all out in the start of the sets and lose traction by the end. Touring helps for sure and now they’re headlining. Tough grind for these guys
That's what an acoustic cover is supposed to sound like this song means a lot to me and now I can listen to the versions back to back over and over again with a little less judgment.

this is my favourite band ever. literally got chills jamming this. dark divine helped me so much through the darkest times. so excited for the reimagined release!❤️
I remember seeing these guys at warped one year in MN and they got a side stage. They totally deserved to have a main stage cause there was so many people standind watching these guys! Definitely one of those bands that can still kill it during s performance!
So happy to not see any “fuck this band they stole out comments”. LMTF’s fan base may not be as big as say Architects, but they sure are damn loyal and constructive without any toxicity. I appreciate this band trying something new!
let's all admit we never knew how much we actually needed this reimagined release in our lives before it actually happened.
music.saves. us. Agreed
Really man i appreciate this song so much more even though I already loved it.
I enjoy this a lot. I haven't kept up with LMTF for a few years, still grab their albums though. An Eye For An Eye will always have a special place with me though.
Let's not just say how great LMTF was wayyy before this amazing ass acoustic shit. Best band ever!!!
Metalcore vocalists are the best clean vocalists.

Devin, and Andrew Oliver from I See Stars are some of the best as well
Lmao
agreed
Landon Tewers hands down the best cleans
One of the rare bands who went softer but still sound great. Love this album
But that's only because this is an acustic song. Their metal songs are pretty brutal
tenesajuancruzenyb their newest album is softer compared to their previous albums.
I agree. They went softer, but they still had a nice balance of heaviness. But I like their new stuff a lot more than their old stuff.
But guys, did you hear Dark Divine? It's so powerful
tenesajuancruzenyb yes, it's a great album
An acoustic version of Dark Divine? Yes please
tenaciousjoe24 only 3 songs
@@zackcochran4924 awww that blows well at least it's better than nothing
holy
@@zackcochran4924 which are those 3 song?
Gustav Wordless it's out on iTunes now lol. But "Nowhere Left to Sink", "Even God Has a Hell" and "Empty the Same"
So much power behind this voice
For real!!!
Yes absolutely! You can seriously feel everything when he sings
Chris roetter has one of the most unique voices, I love this so much
I met him last in april at the motionless in white and ice nine kills concert
I think my favorite work of his was when he sang for Emarosa imo
Christian Edmisten he sang for Emarosa for like 12 hours lmao not really too much work with him
Joshua Blou t the “this is your way out” album is all Chris, lol that’s more than plenty to base that opinion off of

His range is huuuuge. Phenomenal singer.
Austin! Nice to see you here haha
Dickey me boi!
He used to actually really suck when I saw them a few years back. Got a lot better with practice though.

I’ve never listened to this band before...but I can promise that I will be listening to them wayyyyy more!!!!
You will defo have a shock if you go back to the last project lmao
Verse 1]
I just want to feel
Seems like I'm holding on
Never know whats real
Until it's all gone
[Pre-Chorus]
Does it hurt to know
I can't get out
Well I'm cursed in souls
All around
[Chorus]
I know that these failures will not end
Never seen the bright side anywhere
Just when I think there's nowhere left to sink
I find that these failures are in my head
In my head
[Verse 2]
It's getting harder to see
The forest from the trees
And what I can't avoid
Keeps coming back to me
Complacent while I kill these empty thoughts
Stuck in a place that I swear I forgot
[Pre-Chorus]
Does it hurt to know
I can't get out
Well I'm cursed in souls
All around
[Chorus]
I know these failures will not end
Never seen the bright side anywhere
Just when I think there's nowhere left to sink
I find that these failures are in my head
In my head
[Bridge]
Write me off is all that I know
Waisting words when I should just let go
[Chorus 2]
Failures will not end
Failures will not end
I know these failures will not end
Never seen the bright side anywhere
Just when I think there's nowhere left to sink
I find that these failures are in my head
I know these failures will not end
Never seen the bright side anywhere
Just when I think there's nowhere left to sink
I find that these failures are in my head

I've always wanted "acoustic" versions to be like this. Not watered down, this is heartfelt.
Whats amazing to me, is that. No matter what anyone feels or what song they write. This song is already written. Thats something no one can take away
wow unexpected!!! always loved his cleans!!!
I love how he didnt hold back with his vocals in this. It keeps the emotion of the original 🤘🏻
Dark Divine was my AOTY last year, excited to hear the new vibes put on it!
I’ve always loved his voice, and it goes fantastic with this acoustic sound. Dayummm son.
LMTF has given great music since their first album. I just can’t believe how amazing you’re guys thank you so much for this quality music ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
This is Gold
Every single song from this band from OG to now is FIRE!
I remember seeing these guys at warped one year in MN and they got a side stage. They totally deserved to have a main stage cause there was so many people standind watching these guys! Definitely one of those bands that can still kill it during s performance!
Such an underrated band. Hopefully, August Burns Red, Architects, Erra, Counterparts, and Silent Planet will tour with you one day!
I am so happy they are doing acoustic now.. just love these guys
That would be quite the tour . I saw all of those bands except for silent planet this year haha.
Pretty sure they’ve toured with a few of those bands already. They’ve been around for nearly a decade now
Dream line up right there ahaha, only band I don't know is Silent Planet .. may have to have a gander
@@Spec0110x You're about to be a very happy human. Enjoy.
This might actually be the best acoustic iteration of a song since sleeping with sirens! Fantastic!
I hear ya brother
Chris never ceases to amaze.

Been listening to Chris Roetter since the beginning so sad people never knew he was emarosa's first singer and agraceful after that.
Oh Agraceful was my shit.. I was so sad they didn't do more songs!!
He was actually the second vocalist of emarosa but this is your way out was amazing
Progression is a beautiful thing! Taylor Klock
November has been phenomenal for music!
Wow Awesomely cool. Love this and vocals are so powerful. Thank you for this ✌
More breakdowns on acoustic please lmao!!!!
This is beyond amazing.
Fan since when we don’t exist and I gotta say Chris is a beast at lyrics.
Same asf, my first song from them was GNF
boy don't make me talk about early emarosa
Brandon Drennen I heard he was incredible back in emarosa but he only did 1 album and we never going to see any of that performance...
@@BotHoleAssassin listen to the album man it is history in the making.
He's a beast of a vocalist, the writing/lyricism is repetitive and bland tho, tbh.
seeing you guys in Denver sunday was insane, this just makes it better
The acoustic version is incredible!
Great acoustic version 👊🏻
Vocals on point, love this!!! So much emotion in the chorus 🤘
Please let there be an empty the same acoustic version 😍
There is! According to Kingdom Links that is haha
Yes. This whole album was amazing.
I needed this
This put me back in 8th grade and I loved it
I listen to these songs everyday still
A whole different range of emotion coming from these songs now. These guys have been great songwriters since day 1 and people seem to look past it.
Chris and his voice hit in point ❤
Expected the original vocal track over an acoustic guitar. This was a pleasant surprise
James Totten isnt that what this is?
TeamSesh97 no, completely new recording
TeamSesh97 definitely not, added harmonies, completely different cadence in certain sections
Saludos desde Panamá. Nunca esperé que sacarán un acústico de mi canción favorita de Dark divine. 😍🤘✔
Here before this Jawn blows up 🔥🔥🔥
