    Really nice scenery along the Clyde river especially when the sky is so blue. That lookout is also worth stopping at.The road itself wasn’t that rocky,even crossing the river was cooling on a hot day.

      Agree, I'd definitely say yes to all...

    Love those places, and those tracks. It is all in my back yard now. Thank you for some nice scenery.

      Thanks. And it'd be good to live near the 'good ride' bits. We always have to do an hour or so to get to the 'start'.

    Hi Guys after watching your video I did the Clyde Ridge Rd, Runnyford Rd, Araluen Rd and home to Gerringong via the Nerriga Rd today. Tried out my new Mitas E07 Dakars and the ride and the tyres didn’t disappoint. Next ride might be The Barry Way I think.

      Nice ride! No doubt you'll love the Barry Way too (hopefully you can doo it on a week day). We just replaced our rear Mitas with the same - front still looks good.

    Thank you for showing that. Definitely a cruise worth doing.

      Thanks, for sure. We previously did a video on the similar ride via Brooman and River Rds which is also a slight alternative but great ride.

    Good stuff , heading down that way on Monday , it's been a while since Ive been down there , I think I'll do go your way and avoid shallow crossing

      A little rain predicted for Sat/Sun and with the Shallow Creek Crossing and Currowan Creek Shallow Crossing you always need to consider rainfall and tidal depths. Note Shallow Creek Crossing is impassable during heavy rain and high tide. Enjoy your ride, if we get rain - hoping it is just a light shower.

      Ok thanks , have you ridden south that way along the Western Distributor ? That might be another option if it's wet.

      No, we haven't, but there's a few options around the river crossings and that's one of them - probably slippery when wet 😀.

    If you're a beginner, then really be careful and aware of other vehicles that use these roads and tracks.
    Before you never move on from being a beginner.

      Thanks. That applies to everyone - not just beginners 👍.

    Bolaro mnt rd has some pretty technical sections if you follow it far enough.

    • @rideday01
      @rideday01  11 месяцев назад +1

      Thanks for that info. I've also heard that Quart Pot Rd was also challenging?

    • @TRAVERSE_ADV
      @TRAVERSE_ADV 11 месяцев назад +1

      @@rideday01 yes quart pot has a few sketchy sections aswell. A few us us went to Buckenbowra to complete ADV training with the offroad academy. Both days we took a ride around that whole area and it was challenging on a big bike, but ridable. Probably not learner friendly.

      Thanks, that's a great response as a lot of people express a view in their own context, always stating 'it's easy'.

    Runnyford Road has a little known “point of interest” that won’t appear on your satnav; you pass the home of the former mayor of the Eurobodalla Shire. The ex-mayor is best remembered for the quality and quantity of marijuana that she grew for “personal and family” use. An excuse that neither the NSW Police nor the local magistrate accepted. Apparently the crop was visible from the road 🫤😑🙄😵‍💫🥴🤑 (keep an eye out if you ride Runnyford Road). Some locals call it “duelling banjos” country.

      Thanks. That is an interesting 'point of interest'! There wasn't many properties along the road either...

      Thanks. I added this link to the description which also provides a download kml option that can be converted to a gpx if needed.
