currently taking a cytopathology rotation and your series has been super helpful for giving me a foundation coming into the path lab and knowing what to look for
Hi, I received my pathology results from my FNA of my right mid lob nodule and the results came back saying low cellularity specimen demonstrating occasional fragments of follicular epithelium without atypia. This they say is benign, the size of my nodule was really small, but what does low cellularity mean, does that mean they didn’t have enough sample to test the nodule adequately? I remember the radiologist that did they biopsy stating that because the nodule is so small there’s a chance it would come back inadequate. Please help me understand what this result means? Thank you!
Thank you ❣️ My mother had a thyroid transplant today, and the result of the transplant is Bethesda category lll , is this something dangerous or is it normal? I hope you will answer me, my dear. I am worried about my mother's health 😔😔😔
I have a difficulty in thyroid aspiration with large number of unsatisfactory palpation guided aspiration. Any advise to improve satisfactory rate? Thanks informative lecture. N.B. resources limited area with limited ultrasound access.
Hello, it's difficult to give a universal suggestion, but I find that using a smaller needle (25G) , non-aspiration, and removing the needle in less than 7-8 seconds to be quite helpful. Although I believe the best way to improve is to learn from an expert directly in a high volume setting, whenever possible. All the best!
Fantastic! Need for other videos about the argument!
Excellent information especially from someone new to all this. Just had my biopsy yesterday.
Thank you 😊

Is Nuclear grooves considered cytological Nuclear atypia?
It's one of the features, but alone is not specific. Usually a combination with other features should be present to constitute significant atypia.
