Hey Josh you had Fortnite HDR set to on when that game doesnt actually support HDR on PS5. That means you probably have your PS5 console HDR setting to "always on". Switch it over to 'on when supported' instead. That will put you in Game picture mode as opposed to HDR Game picture mode on the U8K and your set can get brighter in that mode.
He probably prefers the contrast more than the brightness

we need to see a review of the 77 U8K as it uses the BOE ADS PRO panel , this will be Brighter and have much better off angle viewing. The few reviews up on the u8k are all 65 inch which is the standard VA panel. I think going forward all higher LCD /MiniLed tvs will start moving toward ADS Panels to alleviate the short comings of VA

I have the Hisense u8k but in the HDMI port 3 the PS5 cannot be seen it does not play but the Xbox series model because I follow you on your channel I don't know why the PS5 isn't put on the HDMI 3 port
Hi, i got this tv 3 days ago. I get an issue with something that looks like blooming or clouding, idk. when i am playing (only). I see some lines . And i observe the same thing when you play on spiderman. It happens when the camera is scrolling.
It is very frustrating.

Please do a comparison between the Qm8 vs U8K especially in PC games. I want to see which one gives the smoothest gameplay
The QM8 has smoother game play but over all picture quality and better blacks/bloom control on the U8K. U8K has better upscaling for cable tv / lower bit content also. If you put on motion setting to smooth or standard on the U8K the game play is very close to the QM8. Also running HDMI 2.1 cables and setting the HDMI input to Enhanced is the way to get the best out of your PS5, XBOX, or computer gaming.
@petedetraglia4776 are you able to play PC games at 1080p at 240Hz in both TVs? How good is the upscaling of these TVs look in PC games? I am torn between these 2 which one I should get for PC gaming
@@kramt32u8k has that new awesome chip apparently, dolby vision at 4k120 so it future proof
QM8 4K 120 and 144hz only do chroma 422. U8K does 4k 120 with chroma 444 I don't know about 144hz but I think so.
U8K is superior as a pc display if you have an amd gpu since it naturally works perfectly with the built in freesync premium pro. Nvidia also works but is a bit more fiddly to set up and the vrr can be a bit buggy in older games but thats true of any gpu.

Does this tv have any ghosting while gaming? I bought a qm8 and it has horrible ghosting.

I bought this TV this past week. I have adjusted everything to have it exactly the way I want it and I love it!
I only have one issue, and it relates to my PS5 and how it works with this tv. I notice the contrast/color keeps changing ever so slightly off and on, on its own.
It seems to be isolated to just my PS5 and this tv because when I hooked up my tv to my old Sony Bravia 750D it doesn’t do it.
Any thoughts as to why this may be happening?
Hmm... Not really sure to be honest. I haven't noticed this issue with my PS5. You may have to reset the TV or it may be an issue with your PS5 settings?

The best QD mini dot 4k tvs are the TCL QM8 and the HiSense U8K price to performance. Neither tv struggle with 60fps content. The QM8 has smoother motion than the U8K but over all picture quality and better blacks/bloom control on the U8K. U8K has better upscaling for cable tv / lower bit rate content also. The U8K is absolutely phenominal when playing 4K HDR, UHD, and Dolby Vision when from Blu-Ray disc or streaming. I bought the HiSense U8K over the QM8 because I watch a lot of cable tv and 4k movies...You can't go wrong with either one but at this time you will need to pay $1199.99 for the TCL QM8 because it's smallest size availible is 65 inch. I bought the HiSense U8K in a 55 inch for $799.99 and it's the best tv I ever owned with the only exception of my Panasonic Plasma TV...Both TCL and HiSense are killing it in 2023...I'm not even thinking about buying a OLED this year...If I were to buy on OLED it would be the Samsung S95B last years model..When calibrated the S95B is the #1 OLED on the market...
@@petedetraglia4776 Hey, thanks! The U8K is also pretty much the last TV standing on my list. I do agree, it has the best price to performance ratio in the market right now and I think it offers a more refined experience than TCL.
@@petedetraglia4776 I'm exactly going for a 55 inch U8K. I have two questions btw: does the TV support external hard drives of all formats/sizes? I keep a good chunk of movies on hard drives and it's really important if the U8K can play directly from an external USB drive. Secondly: can you easily mirror your phone (I have a Galaxy phone) to the screen?

I am from Old time - made in Japan - SHARP- premium LED (with 2 payer TV screen …. I prob had Pre QLED before d word QLED Existed ) my tv was called “(2 layer) back lit LED “ lol n was NO.1 in CES back then(Vibrant color , yet deep black) . N Hisense Landslide destroyed my HD TV . 😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😮
Why My hisense U7K does not show dolby vision iq, Dolby Vision Game such modes and I have same issues as you when on home screen of PS5 it does only show 60fps on game bar.. Please help
Enable 120hz from your ps5 settings :)

Can anyone tell me how much color you lose in game mode? It seems that going from vivid to game mode you get very washed out colors. It's something that always bothered me and stopped me form pulling the trigger on these tvs.

The U8K is a nice tv but it's only an 8bit panel that's where Hisense messed up
It can read 10 bit signals it’s 8bit+frc
My 55U8K on PS5 modern warfare 3 says 12bit
