Have watched many reviews on this car, But this was the only one that clearly mentioned the differences in the Trim Levels and Fuel type. Thanks for the Review.
I just bought a 2024 Civic Sport Sedan! Love it love it! Love the black out trim, sport mode with paddle shift, super peppy Honda 2.0! I love the car more every day!
Better than model 3 right? Because you pay less it looks almost better and can actually go farther easier. So what if it loses at the drag strip. The 2.0 could last 30 years if you keep all the crap around it replaced when it needs it
Best compact car I've tested. The design is amazing...not only for looks, but also on a mechanic's perspective...it is close to the most perfect compact car ever built. Good on you Honda!
Great review! I had to purchase a new car in October 2022. I wanted the Honda but could not find one. I purchased the Hyundai Elantra 2023 SEL and so far I am not disappointed. Also the Elantra braking time is 116 feet a 60 seconds, as I learned in your review of the car. Honda is certainly known for great engines.
I bought a white one last week. For the first two days, my butt, hips and lower back were killing me. I don’t usually have those pains so it was definitely from the car. I had major buyers remorse. I think either my body is getting used to it or I’m breaking in the drivers seat because I think I’m okay now. We’ll see….
A Honda Civic is not made for comfort or for long trips. They made for short commuter trips in the city. Hence the name, "Civic" - relating to a town, city, or local area.
@@Bilytkid I haven’t taken any long trips. When I made this post I had just bought the car. My driving consisted of driving it home from the dealership which is 40 minutes. The next day I drove back to the dealer, then home again. That was all it took to hurt my body. I actually never take long road trips. My life just doesn’t consist of anything like that.
They make silent tires now with Foam glued to the inside of the tire when i replace im getting those. The interior on these new models is pretty sharp imo.
You did not mention anything about road noise. No use going for the touring with Bose system if the car has road noise. I hate my older Accord Coupe due to road noise. Whatever i get this year has to be dead silent in the cabin so i can liaten to music.
Road noise isn't too bad in town, under 25 mph. On the interstate, with the tires it comes with, its high. (Mine came with Bridgestone tires. I changed to Yokohama, which was just as noisy. Finally went to Ironman tires, which reduced the noise by 1/2). But, if you're someone that likes LOUD music, the music will drown out the road noise. (also, keep the air pressure as it's recommended on the inside of the driver's door. - 30 psi. Higher tire pressure increases road noise)
@@lilycat1694 Tires alone won't keep out noise from a thin body vehicle. Some people don't care about road noise. As you stated, they have loud music, where huge speakers drown everything out. The Honda Civic is a good car for a college student or someone who drives only in town. It is a cheap vehicle, with hard seats, an uncomfortable ride and road noise. One doesn't have to buy a luxury vehicle if they don't want road noise, hard seats and an uncomfortable ride. Probably 95% of any vehicle made would be an improvement. (I have 94,000 miles on my Honda Civic. I would never buy another Honda vehicle)
@@lilycat1694 The seats are definitely "firm". I could not imagine driving on a 10-hour or longer trip in a Honda Civic. Many years ago, I took a similar car, a Ford Pinto on a 1,200-mile trip. Even though I was 19 years old, it was a horrible, cramped ride. If I were to trade it in, it would probably for Toyota Camry. (I'm on the 5th set of front wheel bearings on my [2013] car. They've went out from 5,000 to 20,000 miles. The bearings are chrome plated. When the chrome plating falls off, the bearings roar. The Honda dealers only warranty the bearing for 10,000 miles)
Good luck avoiding them, lol. Most standard cars come with a CVT instead of a traditional automatic these days, for the sake of fuel efficiency. Get a Honda or Toyota and there shouldn’t be an issue reliability wise. They’ve been working on improving them for years.
I will just say that i have owned the 11th gen Civic Sport 2022 for over 2 years (since September 4, 2021). Honda absolutely refuses to fix my LKAS system, which pulls my car outside the lane lines, as opposed to my 2021 Honda CRV with the last generation LKAS system, which actually holds the car in-between both lane lines. The LKAS issue has existed since day 1 of ownership.
The touring is awfully tempting for the price point however i am worried about the oil dilution issue honda had with the 1.5 turbo 4 a couple years ago, does anyone know if thats been fixed? Or is it a possibility i can ask honda for the 2.0 in the touring?
@@ZONDAGHOST Still haven’t chosen but I think I’m going to go with Toyota. Been hearing too much bad stuff about the recent Hondas with oil dilution problems and other stuff.
I got mine 2024 civic sport and mileage is both mixed highway and local not more than 26.7 max. The engine sound is so funny that I feel like I’m driving a toy car.
Looking to finance this Civic once my 90 days are up. I don’t have $30k in my back pocket so this is what I gotta do. I’ve been working at a place for 2 months now come December to January my 90 days are finished. I kind of don’t have a choice. My work requires me to work a lot of overtime and I’m not about to ask my family to pick me up at 6 or 7 pm
No heads up display? Only a CVT auto? Mazda3 offers full genuine leather, heads up display and a real 6 gear transmission & AWD. But worse of all the Honda dealer markups drove me away and into the open arms of a Mazda dealership. Too bad because the civic is quite beautiful.
If you’re just looking for long-term reliability, get a sport. There have been much less issues in the past with Hondas NA engines as opposed to turbo, which has had oil dilution issues. Haven’t seen any problems personally though, 22 touring sedan
@lalalal8111 Oh I see. Mine does have front heated seats. I will barely use that feature as I live in the hot south. The fall and winter here are my favorite, summer is brutal.
Why can't you just buy a car nowadays? Why does it have to be a sensor filled data collecting machine? Give me some power in the engine handles well and has a nice stereo.. I don't need to know if my tire is going flat I have eyes. I do not need safety sensors to help me drive a car.
Don't like the fence on the dashboard. It kind of reminds me of the fence between Mexico and the US. Maybe since it is Asian it's North Korea and South Korea don't know is probably just my imagination
@@lilycat1694 Yet you wrote, >"No intrusion when I am listening to BOSE stereo."< So adding BOSE speakers, cranking up the volume, can you hear anything else?
I have 94,000 on my 2013. No engine problems. If you're looking for a car to Hot-Rod, do burn-outs, run 100 + MPH, or constant on-the-floor acceleration, you'll probably have problems with it. (as you will with any care, driving like that)

Will this Civic do artificial shifts at half throttle? I heard at full throttle there were none.
