Good paint job/colors . Thanks for the under water world video shots, for my lungs won't let me there in this life time. Stay alert and keep a solid fire stoker/poker with you to dig and fend off unwanted visitors.
Great video loved it Worked & played out there for 35 years still looks the same great to see everyone is doing the right thing. Except back in the 80s like you said, fantastic to see it thanks. Thanks so much stay safe Cheers
Set that metal detector to DOUBLOON(s) Stu! You and the spiffy Renko have done your part for the environment for now. Such a relaxing video, and I am so glad you are now able to enjoy cruising about. Fair seas Sir.
Very nice. I love grilling food on the water. Was funny seeing the flames coming out of the grill. No worry of food poisoning there! Enjoyed the dives, too, quite relaxing to watch.
Great video of your trip and diving at the Great Barrier Reef. Good to see you care about the environment as well as your love for boats and engines! Enjoying your channel and looking forward to the next episode.
Renko looks great. Agree with the other commenter that the table came out really well. It's awesome that you can practice metal detecting there. You get to dive in clear water to build the muscle memory where you can actually see, there are pre-buried bits of metal for you to search for, and you get garbage out of the ocean at the same time. Everyone wins there. Good to see that not all the world's reefs are bleached and destroyed too. And a Big Lebowski reference to boot!
wow from lying on the ground in the oyster yard thinking what have i done buying this thing to now hanging at lady musgrave island .Viki and you well deserve it mate well done Stu enjoy cheers Dunc
Why did I smile when I heard your report that you had a quiet, uneventful night... - two-strokes rule! Servus from the other side of the planet. PS: Renko looks great.
Amazing trip and very good video boating where I am in the UK we can only dream of boating places like that. I was also amazed how much bigger brupeg is than Renko keep the videos coming I like I am sure others look forward to them greatly
WARNING : For those of a sensitive nature this film contains scenes of cruelty and abuse towards steaks 🥩 Queensland Police Service have said that two men are assisting the Australian Culinary Federation in their enquiries
@@DangarMarine mate, you'll be let off with a warning - first time offence. You had plenty on your mind, you were excited. Renko looks stunning. The paint gleeming, the Detroit purring. She looked good before, but she is a swan now. Don't know why, but I got a little shiver when you showed the sea anchor tied off on the home made stainless steel cleat. All credit to you and Team Renko - happy voyages
my first dive ever was around Lady Musgrave Island. loved it. 1984. so beautiful. brought back awesome memories.. if your reg was made by sherwood is normal to have the air bubbles leaking out it helps seal any water ingress. we were warned about a 20 ft Hammer head shark that frequented the lagoon. thanks for such awesome videos
The underwater scenes were absolutely fantastic. Thanks so much for sharing those. Renko looks so beautiful now. What a marvelous improvement, and so much dedication, hard work and $$$$$ to get to this point. Good on ya mate!
G'day Stu Renco has turned into a really nice boat you have done a suburb job on her. The cruise to the island was very nice loved the bbq on the back that incinerated your stakes brilliant! Thanks mate it really makes me envious and I wish I still had mine anyway Stu tight lines John
Hey Stu, Happy to just see daily snapshots of you relaxing, kicking back around the islands and the odd interaction with the other boaters who know who you are. Good to see your vessel location updates real time now on marine traffic app. Catch your self a few fish when your on the move too! I Was expecting you to catch a few Barra in the Boyne or Calliope River..... hint hint... Maybe on the way back down... 👍
Im glad your friends with brupeg. I really watched this channel in the beginning because of them. really this channel is a lot more satisfying. you put your boat in the water. all damien does is find more things to fix. :)
Good on ya m8 gathering other peeps crap they left behind! We do the same every trip out...always bring in a garbage can full of crap people leave in the water. Disgusting. Gr8 vid Stu and gr8 to see Renko back in the water and a sporty new paint job to boot! :)
Your electronics selection and installations seem so brilliant now when leaving harbor at 1am and threading through the reefs! What comfort and confidence those tools add to the trip. Nice upload Stu.
Thanks mate, all the Raymarine gear certainly has made the cruising both safer and more enjoyable. Although I didn't show it in this video, I had the FLIR camera and radar going all the way up the coast until the sun rose. It gave me great confidence to know the water ahead of us was clear of any unlit obstructions.
I really enjoyed this one. The channel got popular by teaching us HOW to restore a boat, but equally important is WHY to restore a boat - so you can go out and do this! What an incredible, beautiful adventure. Oz sure is a neat place!!!!
@@DangarMarine Likewise here Stu. You helped me make the decision to buy our boat and start to restore her. So great to see Renko getting used for cruising and diving.
after all your hard work what a joy to see the coral reefs and you enjoying diving, just a thought if you come across in your diving a large dead clam, it will pay for you to examine it as they have been known to hold the worlds largest pearls as in HUGE, one of those puppies will pay for Renko and almost all of your labour charge,
Congrats, Stu! After a long journey you're finally getting to use Renko as you intended. Be careful, though, she's starting to look very yacht-like! The transformation is amazing. You've done a beautiful job on your boat.
Big Thank You for the example you set, Well done on the aquatic clean up, I've logged over 10 thousand dives (guiding and teaching at a dive shop) and wore the pockets out of most of my BCD's picking trash... Thought you were going to do the "Magic Genie in the Bottle" trick - invert and get the bottle neutrally buoyant with exhaled air - then 'call' the Genie to your waiting hand held either above or below and the bottle sinks or floats to order! Magic Secret is only takes a few inches of upward distance for it to become mildly buoyant or conversely down a few inches before you release and it sinks.
Damian is a hard worker
