All jokes aside, I personally know have witnessed some awesome inspirational stories. My friend from college, CJ, was a complete mess. He was a user, spent all his on drugs and video games, had absolutely no social life, was simply miserable. After college, he set a record for not leaving his room for 197 days straight! Finally, he said:"Enough is enough." Quit drugs, started working out, got a job as a manager at MacDonald's, got a girfriend, inherited 30 million dollars from his grandpa, and bought a mansion and a Ferrari.

This was great. On a serious note, I got wealthy working like 35 hours a week and built a successful company while waking up at 9:30AM and playing with my toddlers for an hour. Hustle culture is severely damaging because it just causes people to focus on making their life harder instead of doing effective work. You work effectively when you’re motivated and happy. There’s a point where sitting or standing around and “working” isn’t doing you any more good, and it comes sooner than you generally think. You need a refreshed and relaxed mind to do good work.
How in the HELL did you wake up as late as 9:30 when you have toddlers?

I agree with you. I switched majors from biology to history in college, and it was the best idea ever. I struggled with especially chemistry. Then I quit uni for a while and took a couple of online classes in art history, and I was hooked. I am now studying to become a high school history teacher. I enjoy hard work, but I seldom compromise on my rest. I need my weekends to function properly. I study about 30 hours a week. I have found the tricks to make my studying efficient. But the most important thing is that I am actually happy.
My biggest regret in life is not finding a nice woman to settle down with.
I'm 40, been homeless on and off my whole life with multiple health problems and I'm miserable.
I slept around with lots of women because I wasn't mature and didn't know what I wanted out of life do to childhood abuse from my family.
@@Freakazoid12345 at the age of 40 you don’t have to have that regret for the rest of your life. If you take care of yourself you could have 50+ quality years ahead of you. Look at Arnold Schwarzenegger and Sylvester Stallone. They’re both jacked and almost 80. Sure there’s some “sauce” involved, but the point is they took steps to basically live the life of a 25-35 year old for decades, physicality included. If you keep that goal in mind and work towards it, overcoming the obstacles one by one with a single minded purpose, you might find you hit your goal quicker than expected. Even if it takes you 5-10 years to get to where you want with a good woman, and as healthy as possible, that’s still very much worth it. Point is, there’s a lot of time left to do these things, and I also believe life doesn’t end at bodily death either, so there’s probably a lot of time to purify the soul too for the best afterlife possible as well.

Used to follow this relatively well off batchmate on twitter who focused on being an influencer after graduation and did motivational/inspirational content. She often used her medium sized following and her retail business as an example of personal success. She was doing ok until she said people who were poor and struggling “aren’t working hard enough.” Worse is she actually, genuinely believes this to be case so she was shocked her audience gave her shit for it. The vibe and shallowness of this parody was so spot on.
