This is my top 5 ranking. What's yours??? 😀
+1 for Dyson hair dryer. Save me lots of time! 👍🏻
My modem/router that gives me internet 😂
Xiaomi tabletop dishwasher and deebot t8 aivi
Hi alex .great video .can share what brand your laudry rack and how long you be using :)
Heat pump dryer over a auto laundry rack.👍🏼
Found your channel from your smart home tour and binge-watch all your home-related series! It's really helpful for us new homeowner. Look like you did a lot of research upon getting your BTO flat. I'm glad I found this channel and save myself all this trouble haha! Will get every recommended item for my new home! Thank you and Keep up the good work~
glad that helps :)
Hello Alex, I happened to stumble upon your informative channel while browsing through the many video clips featuring reviews on ceiling fans.
Thanks for the many practical tips and advice. I think what amazed me were the reviews and information about the doorbell, water dispenser and the robot vacuum cleaner.
I think you have put in much effort into thinking, planning and structuring your information. The effort is commendable; glad to know that this informative channel is created by a Singaporean. (Applause!)
This is a channel worth subscribing! I will take my time to browse through this channel.
Wow thanks for the support, hope you find my other videos helpful as well
Ty for the video ... very informative
Will definitely consider the laundry rack feature you showed when I build my house. Thank you
yes please, so useful!
Great videos. Now u make me feel my home is so low-tech! Yes I am a techno-phobe!
gov promoting smart nation! starts with smart home first haha
I got a novita water dispenser and can really taste the difference in the water! It's also really more convenient - we have 5 people in our house so water runs out quickly and we used to have to boil 1-2 kettles of water a day (which is heavy for my parents to do as they are above 50 years old). Now we don't have to do that anymore - healthier too since we use a gas stove. Novita is a Singapore brand as well so good to support them ^_^
yup awesome thanks for sharing!
Thanks for video. Learnt alot!!!! More video pleasseee
sureeeeeeee
Tq for the informative content.
Thanks for sharing 🌈
Thank you Alex for the sharing!
and thanks for watching!
Hi Alex thanks for the recommendations
4 done-
Video door bell(useful and Chinese product is rather cheap)
Hydroflux(no more boiling water or water in the fridge)
Auto Laundry Rack(Not bad if u compare upgrade from the bamboo poles or HDB provided Laundry)
Smart Door lock.(Im not a keys guy so no good choice)
& I also use a steam mop for my mopping.
Based on this list, left with Vacuum Robot with Auto Dispense/Tank
Looking forward to Sales for the robot vacuum😁Maybe 11.11 if I can wait.
7.7 got sales already haha, about 1 more week for you to consider
Hi Alex, very informative video again! I am about to get my key for my bto flat and hope u can cover on some reno tips for new home owner! It will be a great help :)
sounds gd, probably next week's video!
@@AlexTeo hope u can pass this tip to ur audience: always request to view one of their on going projects to check on quality. I did that for all the potential ID ... was thankful that I did as I almost sign w one until I went to see one of the on going projects and was disappointed w e quality of work. End up signed w another one instead.
@@AlexTeo looking forward to it
Great effort , thank you. There is even reenactment on parcel delivery 😂. How is the maintenance on the robot vacuum eg charging time vs running time? What is it lacking that only a manual vacuum can do? (Was hoping to skip it altogether lol.....).
FYI I read robovacuum may not be suitable for households with pets with tendency to do business on the floor as it will spread it bigger 😅 need to check for these on the floor before using.
Is the xiaomi lock something a locksmith can open manually from the outside? Can the manual key be duplicated ?
charging/running time differs for different models, gonna check the tech specs. Yeah pet shit will probably spread, toilet train them first haha. No idea whether it can be duplicated, it can prevent black box though
thanks for reviewing the water filter system. i have been doing research on this and YES!!! the price is expensive!!! i have been using ring and also yale digital lock for my existing house. you mentioned that your friend gave the ring video to you. did your friend uninstall the ring hardware and pass it to you? cause i am thinking of doing the same 😂😁 to use it again for my new flat. both ring and yale. it can be done right?
Alex what is the measurement of your living room. Trying to visualise your sofa and room layout as I have a similar room size and want especially with the chaise
bro showing up at the door step with a box at 1:25 had me laughing 😂 Kudos to Alex for such realistic re-enact!
haha I realized i stopped doing such things in my recent video
What I've planned to get more in or less falls into your list! The only thing I didn't plan on getting is the drying rack for my house. Coz the current situation where I will HV my parents + sibling staying with me for the next 3 years... It will not be sufficient to handle our laundry load. Though u made a very good point on the new type HDB rope-tied-manual lift n lower rack versus heavy load to be hang outside.. after watching your current video n your taobao video, I am seriously considering getting the smart drying rack for my parents though.. that's when their elderly flexi house is ready. By then I will likely check with them again coz whether or not they are willing to learn to operate tech gadgets/home appliances is another important factor too.
yeah true, but the laundry drying rack is pretty straight forward to operate, I think should be fine for elderly. Plus the one from taobao is in chinese haa
hi alex, is it true with the automated laundry system, dryer machine is no longer required? thanks
My must-haves after I stop having a helper after 16yrs are:
1. A set ot Miele washer and dryer - they are 5 ticks appliances which save water and electricity. In 1.5 to 2hr, u can have the same piece of garment to wear. they only cost abt sgd3k for German technology which translate to durability - and money well spent
2. Cordless vacuum- i started with a Dyson and when it broke down after about 1.5yrs, i decided to get a Dibea for hygiene reason instead of getting the Dyson fixed. This i do not mind spending 100-200 every other year, esp if u can hold and drink your coffee on one hand, and clean up few strands of hairs and some dirt on the floor with the other.
Hence although i love your videos, i disagree with laundry rack and robot vacuum as must-haves. But i will explore re smart home. Thks for dat!
thanks for the comment! For me, I will still prefer not to use a dryer, i think generally most Singaporeans too... as for cordless vacuum definitely agree but I think they are very common already
Hi Alex, all your tips are great n I hv subscribed to your channel. Btw, do u think it’s necessary to hv a glass gate with a digital lock, besides having a digital lock at the main door?
i think its overkill, not necessary considering how safe it is in sg. If the person can get through your main door lock, definitely no issue with a gate lock
Hi Alex. Thanks for sharing your video. Any recommendation for home cam?
for budget can go with tplink C200, if not then its gonna be arlo. All these can integrate with google home
Going for every single one you've mentioned on the list. Thank you!!
Just need to find if there is a cheaper xiaomi/taobao version got smart doorbell camera. And also, wondering how you fix your digital lock if it's purchased on taobao?
Yeah there is a xiaomi doorbell which I will be talking about it soon. You can get a handyman to install or there are also some specialize installers around
Can I ask the difference between Aqara and Xiaomi? Like I know the smart switches require a 网关/home kit hub. So which should I go? Thank you in advance!!
@@qihangchong2286 aqara has integration with google voice assistant while xiaomi right now has only their own xiaoai using chinese. However, xiaomi has a bigger ecosystem to integrate with other brands such as aqara. Aqara has only aqara but it doesn't matter if you are connecting them to a brand agnostic hub such as samsung smartthings or habitat. So I think just ask yourself whether you want to use voice assistant.
Hi Alex, kudos for the great content! For an inexperienced starter, which hub/ecosystem would you recommend?
google home with some wifi devices or switchbot are easy to get started
Great video! Just want to get your opinion on how do u compare a dryer to a drying rack system?
drying rack makes more sense for sg weather.. i don't really like dryer because not all clothes are suitable and it also shorten the lifespan of your clothes
Thanks Alex for your videos. What is the name of ur laundry system and is it working well vs those branded ones like steigen
brand is taitaile very popular in taobao. It is working well but it doesn't have all the app features that steigen have
Love your content! What do you think about dryer vs laundry rack system? How about a dishwasher?
i think in sg no need for dryer, its convenient to get our laundry naturally dry with the crazy hot weather. Your clothes don't last long with dryer as well. For dishwasher, I personally quite ok with washing dishes haha, not sure how 'clean' is the result too
Hi Alex, May I know what model is your XiaoMi door lock? I am looking for N100/200. Wonder any different compare to your model. I prefer your handle type thou. Thanks
using this, detail.tmall.com/item.htm?id=596155584482&spm=a1z09.2.0.0.18422e8dAeCJ0D&_u=q2ai2jg18029
Thanks for the video! Super informative. For door locks , I'm renting a place so is there any solutions that you would recommend that doesn't require any drilling at the door?
wouldn't recommend those, kinda no point
If you don’t have a grille and you use a deadbolt or mortise lock for your main door you can check out august or nuki
Hi Alex. Thanks for the video. Just to check on the smart door lock. From your video, I guess you have a smart lock on both gate and wooden door. I am still contemplating whether I should just get for my gate. Will you still get both for your next house? Also, I heard about smart door lock leaking data to servers overseas. Thought to hear your thoughts on this. I look forward to more videos from you!
nope i am not using any lock for my gate, don't see a point in that.. personally I am not someone that is too concerned about data security especially for a normal citizen.. unless it's camera related or contains pictures
Hi Alex, thanks for the video. For the xiaomi mijia smartlock does it fit hdb main doors? And how much is the installation?
around $150 for installation. For the model I am using yes it fits
Hey bro, I got the same laundry rack for my new unit from TB. Do you have any recommended contractors for the installation? 6:02
you can contact benny @ 9062 0052
Bro, I am looking at the Track Socket in Tao Bao.
Have you research on this before.
Can share your thoughts?
Also, for your Top 5 gadget, I am considering the Digital Door Lock & Dryer.
I am contemplating if I am going to get a LG Dryer Machine on top of the Laundry dryper Tai Tai Lei.
Ps" I have 6 Pax in my house" etc.
not a fan of track socket, don't see much value with those
Just a question about the door lock, I saw you installed in on the wooden door. How abt the metal gate? Or you just don’t install and it’s unlocked always?
Its unlocked. The gate is really quite unnecessary especially when you see condo don't have any
Hi Alex, Jeff from Singapore here! Really like your household tech videos! I would love to get a Vacuum Robot for my new house and not sure if I should spend the extra money to get the Roborok S5/S6 Max which costs around $500-600+, or Xiaomi Mijia 1C which cost around S200-300. Which would you recommend and what are your thoughts on the models I've mentioned above, or are there any other recommendations? Hope to hear from you soon, cheers!
i recommend the deebot T8, ruclips.net/video/2ufSjhpLu1c/видео.html
Wuaa, ring camera vid&communitypost keep showing in recomendations.
did you search that before haha
hi Alex, thanks for the video. Do you have 2 smart locks - i.e. one for your metal gate, one for the wooden door? or do you only lock the wooden one
i only lock the wooden door, the metal gate for online delivery to put items inside
Informative video! Just wondering on the laundry rack u bought from taobao, whom did you approach to get in installed? Any recommendations would be great!
i got my handyman to help install at $120, he is really good at that. Benny @ 9062 0052
@@AlexTeo wow! Thanks for the info!
Hi Alex, i just gotten the automatic cloth hanger from Happy Wife. I notice the remote control surface is very very scratch-able. I was thinking if there is a plastic sheet on the surface but does not seem like. Does yours have the same scratch-able surface or is there really a plastic sheet on top?
there is a plastic sheet, not sure whether you already remove it
Loved your detailed info on the products. I'm situated in Melbourne and living a double storey house. 2 questions to ask you:-
1) Wondering is the video ring door bell suit or workable for my house type where the bell is fix at the gate (away from my entrance door)?
2) Do I need an electrician to install the clothes rack?
thanks! Depending on the distance from the gate to your wifi router, you might need an extender somewhere inbetween, else the signal will be too weak to get that quick response. Yes you need an electrician to install the Clothes rack
@@AlexTeo Thanks so much.
Very informative video, Alex. Enjoyed it.
I’m in the midst of renovating my flat now and, while I am techno-illiterate, would like to consider some of these gadgets.
Is it too late to install these devices after the renovation is done, as I’ve clutter-phobia and hate seeing loose wires or trunking running around the house?
none of the 5 items mentioned needs to be there during renovation, its fine to get them anytime after reno depending on your financial situation
@@AlexTeo Thanks for the prompt reply. Can you recommend a firm to handle a project like this, should I decide to implement some of these technologies?
For the laundry rack system Taitaile, who do u approach to install it for u?
get a handyman to install :)
Stumbled upon your videos while researching for my reno. Thanks for the great tips! I'm planning to get a smart digital door for my door, but was wondering what to do for my gate. Are you also using a smart lock for your gate?
i don't lock my gate at all haha... don't know what's the point of locking that
Quick thank you for all the smart home vids! Always clear and concise, and you made the topics easy to grasp. I got the same lock, love how sleek it looks. Only thing is it seems loud when opening or closing doors. Wondering if its a user problem haha.. Looking forward to your next video!
@@vanessasim5217 ya haha i realized that too, not a user problem i guess, but on the other hand its a good sound indication whether the door is closed especially if you attached those auto-close mechanism
Thanks for sharing.
Gr8 video. Just wondering, is xiaomi lock better than z8 smart lock from home auto? Also, why do you not have a digital lock for the gate?
no idea what's z8, you can go ahead and compare their hardware and software. I don't see a need to lock the gate, more like don't see a need for that gate in the first place haha
@@AlexTeo for me the use case of the HDB gate is when I keep the main door open for ventilation, and the gate can be locked. Or when there are door to door salespeople and we open the wooden door to entertain them, there is at least a gate for security. But I guess everyone's lifestyle and use cases are different!
Hi Alex,
I do have some questions.
For the laundry rack, does the power plug comes with the SG power plug?
Also, for the digital door lock, laundry rack and digital curtains, who does the installation for you? Does ID usually do those for you upon request?
Thanks
You will want to hardwire to your service yard switch instead. I got a handyman to install for me. Typically ID don't do this, it's not within their sow
@@AlexTeo Thanks Alex! Just curious, have you heard of a digital curtain brand called Tuya? Was wondering if you have any comment if this is a good brand for electric curtain
Hi Alex, i've been watching your videos the past few months to prepare for my home. I finally got my keys last week and looking into buying some things from taobao. How has the laundry rack system been holding up?
Yup still using it, no issue
@@AlexTeo thanks! Your videos are super helpful! Esp the smart home guides
Hey Alex, if u are free, dont mind if can trouble u to measure the distance before the xiaomi digital door lock from the front of the door to the handle, thinking of getting but afraid the distance between my door and gate might not be sufficient😅
3 inches, hopefully that's enough
Hi Alex. I saw your Hydroflux Dispenser and is this good? Cos I'm comparing this to Cosmo Quantum model. Not sure which to buy..any advice?
the hydroflux is good! Can't give advise for that, don't have any friends using that
Hi Alex. Do u know about the water dispenser The One from Wells? Is this good compared to Hydroflux?
Hi Alex may I know what brand of vacuum robot you would recommend?
roborock and deebot
Agreeed with your top five except for the laundry rack (individually as I have a dryer) where did you purchase your Xiao Mi digital lock ?
i got it from taobao
Hi Alex, any recommended brand for Electric Cloths Rack? How you that one you're currently using? Are they reliable?
1yr old now no problem, the popular brand in sg is steigen
Hi, thanks for the great video! Could I ask - what are some of the ways that we can use to receive/protect delivery parcels safely when we are not home - does the digital lock help in any way? Also, can I take the digital lock with me to be re-installed in the next home when I move house? Thanks!
my digital lock actually has a 1 time password feature for delivery guy to enter your house and put inside, but provided you are ok with that. Yeah digital lock can be removed and install in another place, but you probably need to have a replacement lock for the next owner if you are selling it.
This is late, but I just installed my aqara lock over the weeked and remembered this comment. So I asked the installer if I can bring along my lock with me when I move house next time. The installer told me that there are no locks on the market that will fit the hole left behind by xiaomi locks, so if I want to take the lock with me, I would need to replace a new door for the new owner.
I found a switch in jb that allows me to plug my phone cables in directly to charge without the pin head. Each sq panel has 2 usb inserts. So the cable life span kinda extend IMO. Removal of cable to use it on e go also is easier now. 😊
yeah those are nice but if you need fast/super charge, then I don't think can. How much you bought them?
@@AlexTeo I don’t remember ... not expensive lah ... bought them in 2018 I believe ... Ald have 2 diff voltage I think ... but I don’t require e super fast charge as battery 🔋 usually last quite long ...
Hi Alex, I am thinking to follow your lead to buy the movable hanger you shown in your yard. Thanks for sharing. Wondering if you can share the quality and user experience so far from your usage? That will help. TIA.
so far so good, no signs of breaking down. These are very simple devices
Hey Alex, if I do not want the vaccum robot to vaccum the toilets floor should I closed the doors when it first do the mapping?

@@AlexTeo ooh will check it out. Thanks for the quick reply! Happy CNY~
Exactly! About the water dispenser. Ridiculous local pricing. What I did was import under basin filter system from taobao (Very cheap!) then pipe it myself to my counter top into a tankless & filterless water dispenser. It's RARE to find a filterless water dispenser with both Hot & Cold water. (To have very cold water, it needs a internal tank to keep water cold). These water dispensers came with internal water filters which are proprietary and they sell the whole machine at exorbitant prices. With undersink water filter, you can get generic replacement filters at extremely low cost.
Hi Brian, Can share link for your taobao purchase? Thanks!
@Brian Tan didn't research much about these dispensers so I just get the easy way out. I thought so many brands out there price will get lower. i'm curious what is the tech or component within that makes them cost so much.
@@AlexTeo There isn't much 'special' features except the machine on the different temps, the quality of the components like pump, heat exchanger system etc... Think about it, a Good quality home use espresso machine (like the Rocket R pppcoffee.com/products/r58) can cost almost $5K because it's full of metal and complex/precise heating elements and machining inside to make good espresso. Not these machine with cheap plastic parts and simple generic pump. The only "custom" thing is probably the PCB circuit and the controller features. Just search aliexpress for the different parts and you'll see how cheap it is, it's possible to build one yourself just without the fancy case to incorporate everything together nicely. The filters cartridges are simple carbon filters which is available everywhere and definitely does not cost $300-$500 to change a set of 3-5 different types every year (just cut open a old cartridge and you'll see). Nobody wanna create a filterless system because the profits are not worth the business sense.
@@hazelpeck5924 This is the undersink filter I bought. There's many others you can choose,, I bought during promotion for 429 RMB (but need to ship by sea, so your cost may varies). detail.tmall.com/item.htm?id=563452011830&spm=a1z09.2.0.0.65432e8d5Sg05i That's about $80+ sgd for a full set of filters with 6 additional PP filters. They sell the other filters separately too at very low cost (don't need to change all yearly) compared to local ridiculous prices. The thing is, in China, they don't really drink cold water, they either warm or hot water. There's many wall mounted hot water dispenser in Taobao (as low as $50+) if cold water is not your thing. Just search "饮水机".
I bought the Bluepro from Lazada, very compact: www.lazada.sg/products/bluepro-water-dispenser-3-second-heating-hot-and-cold-water-desktop-connect-the-water-pipe-i1090572222-s4203140443.html
However, there's a few cons to this: Hot water is not boiling hot, but hot enough to make you take careful sips. Cold water is not as cold as there isn't an internal cold water tank, so it also takes time to cool down for the next cold water (fan blowing noise also). Because there isn't any Internal boiler tank etc... the water flow is kinda slow, but you can set the amount to dispense 150,300,500ml. The cold water fan starts to make noise now and I'm talking to the seller to rectify the issue (I don't mind DIY and change to a better fan, but this is not for everyone). If not for the compact size, I would have bought a machine that's cheap enough with generic filters inside with cold water tank so I could simply change the filters myself.
Have been using RO water filter for more than 10 years. And yes it is the most worth "home appliances" compare to buying galons of water weekly (in indonesia).
The thing is, as you mention, you have to replace the water filter cartridge yearly (as per recommendation) and it is quite pricy . Hack for cleaning : My father sometimes just unplug the cartridge and clean it by reversing the inlet-outlet, blow the water from outlet to inlet , then instal it again accordingly again. (not sure about the hygiene, but it quite effective)
For the laundry rack, is the air dry and heater dry strong? How long does it takes to dry the clothing
that will depends on the clothing material. For my case, i didn't really pay attention to the time required, i only wash like once every 3 days and turn it on once when I just take them out from the washer. They will definitely be dry before my next round of laundry.
Hi Alex, do we need wiring for the Ring door bell?
i didn't wire, running on wireless now
I noticed u used a Xiaomi digital lock. What are the other models you considered or researched? Is XM good?
i look at smart home features, design and brand. I go with xiaomi because I thought i will be sticking with xiaomi smart home
Hey Alex, I notice in your video that you have a digital lock on your wooden door. Can you let me know which model it is and is it any good? Any recommendation for digital lock that is about $300? Thank you.
product link is in my taobao home tour video, ya i think it is good. I like the design, quality, and features like users profile. Smart automation rules are useless if you are not using mihome. Mine is within 300 though
Thanks. Did you do the installation yourself or do you have someone to recommend for that?
Hey Alex, thanks for the many informative videos. Just a question about the water filter. What is the approx running cost in terms of replacement filters?
it depends on usage and product specific, advise you to ask directly from the supplier
Hi Alex. If the light of the laundry rack is not working, is it replaceable easily?
no idea, from the exterior look doesn't look as its super straight forward
@@AlexTeo Ic. Just checked. According to seller, it can be changed. Need to purchase from them.

Hi. Your digital smart door lock is from Xiaomi right? Can I pls have the name of the model?
the push pull model, should have new version now
Hi Alex, may I know how much you paid for the shipping of the drying rack system to be ship to sg? Thank you 🙏

check the detailed specs requirement for the lock that you like to purchase. For eg, thickness of the door, space allowance for the lock.

Hi Alex, could you please share your study room glass door contactractor?
sorry i have no clue on that, its part of my reno package
Why did you buy a laundry rack when you could use a washing machine with dryer? Just wondering. I'm thinking of buying a dryer and do away with racks. But i hv not used dryers myself. Any thoughts?
i think it's not necessary to use dryer in SG given the weather. Dryer has a tendency to shorten the lifespan of your clothes and also consume far more electricity
May I check whether you have date & timestamp on the video doorbell? ('cos didn't see them in the video)
because that's a live view only, i don't have a cloud subscription to store the footage
I have Steigen laundry rack and Focus Water dispenser.
My unit is corridor unit and heavy rain(just like yesterday) usually will make my whole main door wet, hence, I ditched the idea of installing digital door camera and digital door lock. Unless one day they implement water-proof feature for such devices.
I do not use robot cleaner but I own a Dyson v8 slim flurry, I can clean my 65sqm flat with ease.
wah sounds serious, can complain to town council to do something about it? Can make your whole main door wet is quite bad
@@AlexTeo hdb will install screen at the corridor to reduce the rain from splashing onto the door, at least not that bad.
Mine is high floor with unblock view, I think lower floor will be shielded by rain.
Living at the higher floor is windy but the dust is no joke, hence, having a decent vacuum cleaner is essential.
@@davidtan260 first time I'm staying at such high floor, the amount of dust the robot collected every week is crazy haha
@@AlexTeo I read some where online that higher floor is windy, that also brings in the fine dust 😂

Hi Alex, one more qns about your door with the digital door lock. Do you fix the automatic door hinge at the top which closes your door on its own or it will be close manually by human hand?
hmm, don't quite understand what you mean

Hello Alex. I bought a 小米智能门铃2 and tried pairing it. It was successful but I don't get notifications on my phone when the door bell was rung. I have set it to China server. Could you advise, please?
The black glossy one? If yes then it don't work well in sg, see whether you can return it. It can send notifications to your phone but can't see the LIVE video feed, most smart doorbell require strong connection to the company's cloud storage
@@AlexTeo thank you, Alex. This is really helpful. Any recommendation of such door bell that works in SG?

Was it easy to install tai tai le laundry rack?
subjective, i find it hard but to my handyman its nothing
I saw your house and it looks familiar. Then I recalled that I came across it on Qanvast.
Could tell share us more on your renovation experience with the ID? Might consider using the same
I didn't realize that it is on Qanvast haha. Quick answer is overall a good experience with my ID johnny. I will share more about renovation in my next video, stay tuned!
Staying tune for your video! Because I am will be getting my keys to my resale flat in around March 2021. So I am currently looking into renovation company and also inspired by you to turn my house into a smart home.
@@pohsun1987 that's nice, good to plan ahead. Having a smart home is really nice especially if you like tech and automation. It is also not expensive to build one
do you use the wind/dryer of the automated drying rack to dry your clothes after every wash? how long does it normally take to dry and which function (wind/dryer) do you use? thanks! just subscribed to your channel.
I use disinfect+dryer, i usually on it once which last a few hours, then i leave it till my next wash which is a couple of days later haa.. Thanks for the sub!
@@AlexTeo thanks for your reply! does it dry all the clothes evenly, say if it's a heavy load?
@@xiaohanc.3310 i didnt pay attention to that haa.. But anyway how fast they dry is mostly on the material, like polyester definitely going to dry faster than your jeans
May I have the link where you get your automated drying rack..?

Hi Alex, may I check with u, who u engage to install ur smart lock & the cost for it?
i got my handyman benny @ 9062 0052, he charged me at around $130 at that time
@@AlexTeo Okay Thx for sharing. Appreciate tat :)
Hi Alex, regarding your tankless dispenser, is there any significant increase in your electricity bill? How many people are you in your home, using it? Thanks
just 2, no idea how much electricity it consumes man

Hi Alex, I'm curious why do you choose hydroflux in the end?
based on brand, price, functionality and the looks of it. It's considered a big purchase for me based on their price tag, so I rather go with a more reputable brand than maybe some unknown korean company.
@@AlexTeo thanks so much for the prompt reply! 😊 😊
I chosen ruhens as they offered lifetime warranty and 1 to 1 exchange. Also understand that hydroflux are getting the filter from ruhens.
@@wanlivian3539 not surprised if that's the case looking at how these companies are somewhat connected
How about the root sense shoe cabinet? Do u find it worth?
it is not expensive to begin with, although i don't frequently use the functions but just the design and inbuilt light is good for me
Hi. For your laundry rack system, can I understand how the power supply is connected? I don’t see any electrical plug on your video.
6:08 you can see it taps on the wring from the light point that is actually default from HDB. That goes to a switch, but you can of course have it connected to a plug instead if you want
Ic. Thanks for the prompt response!
Hi Bro happy cny to you man.
happy cny to you too!
Xiaomi doesn’t seem to have an official channel to sell their door lock in Singapore. You bought it from Taobao as well? How do you install? Any experienced install company to recommend?
Yeah taobao, google xiaomi lock install service got a few popped up, mine is installed by a normal handyman
@@AlexTeo haha thanks for your info Alex! btw i recently bought Baseus screen light from Taobao. So far so good. There are 3 brands on Taobao: BenQ, Xiaomi and Baseus (price in descending order). You may want to consider as well
@@andrewyao609 that's nice. I will see how the overall lighting goes after fixing up the light strips for my desk. If still not enough then I might consider getting screen lights too! Able to share the taobao link?

Why no mentioning of Air Purifier ?

So it is not only me with the suspicion.

I am one year late to this video. I feel a clothes dryer is more impt than a drying rack, cos it dries clothes much faster and if one fold up the clothes or hang them up after drying immediately, one cuts down ironing time or even can do without ironing.
are you using ezbuy shipping for your furniture?
ezship to be exact
@@AlexTeo did you sign up for prime membership for the bulk shipping from taobao?
Ooohhh ek Alex how sad am I your so hi tec I don’t like useing the t.v remote technology scares me to death 😱but your very informative I really enjoyed it thanx from yorkshire xx
Wow all the way from yorkshire.. Thanks for the support!
Thanks for the informative video! I’m wondering what’s the key things that the hanging rack is so high up the list? Living in an old hdb, we’ve always thought having clothes in the sun is the best way to get them fresh and fragrant. But moving to a bto makes me concerned that we can’t do that anymore, hence looking for new laundry solutions. How is the heater hanging rack comparative to a dryer? And how much electricity does it consume? Thanks!
key thing its at no.2 is the huge difference from the default bto, and no more dangerous poles for old hdb. Using such rack you are still able to get some of that sun effect unless there is absolutely no sunlight coming in. Dryer will shorten the lifespan of the clothes plus not every material is suitable to go inside a dryer. Dryer definitely consume more energy and electricity, but I don't have the detailed btu numbers.
I see! Thanks for your reply. Actually how does the drying rack work? Sorry I’m new to smart tech! Does it blow hot air?
@@angmokiafren It is like a hairdryer, just enlarged to a laundry rack size haha. You can check out more about the product from steigen website. Their product is good, just that I don't like their price.
