If/when I get around to doing a 10.22 custom build (not Takedown), I will follow your expertise and experience with the Powder River, Kidd, Lilja. But that is a few holidays/birthdays away LOL.
Guess I will stick with my low cost 10/22. I use a stock bolt and receiver. The 24" Green Mountain is as accurate as my Bergara and CZ457. The receiver has to be heated to insert the barrel. I use a Titan stock with the spike. I did make a pocket in the receiver for the end of the spike. It has the Kidd single stage trigger kit. Our most distant targets are at 200 yds. I still use the $150 Riton X1 scopes. I own 6 of them. BTW I found a Lot of Eley SABRP that all three of my rifles love. Bought a case. I did lose by one target Saturday. Errant gust of wind hit me at 200 yds. Match winner was shooting a $4,000 Anschutz setup.
Boy you got lucky finding a lot that shoots out of all three. This rifle just like all the others has ammunition it likes. 21”
That’s a 20” barrel correct?
@@sat_stacks think there 21” but i bought this before they had other lengths.
I like your tee-shirt too.
@@1fredwahl I get a lot of these shirts from 717supply.com/
He’s a Car RUclipsr StreetSpeed717, good channel. When you buy his shirts you get entered into a vehicle sweepstakes. Shirts are kinda expensive but you get a chance to win a very cool vehicle at the same time. I just ordered a couple more yesterday. Although that particular shirt isn’t available right now, he always has something I like.
This may be good but the guy at STKO splits cards on edge at 150 yards with his $250, stock 10/22 carbine and Barska scope. Just ask him and he'll tell you.
@@whiskeykilmer1866 OMG!!! Me and Josh were just talking about him. 😂
@@RimfireSS Hahaha
.2’s all day long with with those thunderbolt’s and PowerPoints.
@@chainbenwa2713 bahahahaha..
FJF 17" tapered barrel.
I’ve got a 17” Green Mountain heavy tapered barrel on a different build and it’s a shooter too.
@@RimfireSS whoa you have velocity tests n a video?
@@BluedMarble I haven’t really done a video on that build but honestly the velocities are not much different than a 20” barrel.
@RimfireSS like to see one on your 17". You'll be the first fella on You Tube who did. Bulk ammo too.
How much money did you put in that gun to get it to shoot like that I’ll bet more than you paid for it some groups were not so great
It’s a part built gun, so I’m not sure what you mean. Also it was quite windy if you didn’t notice the tree in the background. And which groups were not so great? Worst one was 1.3 MOA at 200 yards on a somewhat windy day. 😂
@@RimfireSS I'd wager Mr Addison can't shoot half as well as you, Don.
...so where's the link to sunfoto

Sorry I forgot to put it in there.
10/22 " International" 50 yds, bench, 10 shots, no bigger than your thumbnail. Deadcenter.
2lb trigger, Free floated barrel from assembly bolt to muzzle. Back travel trigger stop bolt added. 3x9x40 scope on top.
Talk to Eric Cortina he has the equipment
Run em
that is an awesome gun and Eley Team is not even top ammo.
@@mlone7 thanks, it sure shoots in this rifle. Better than everything I’ve tried. I did just get some SK long range I haven’t tried in it yet. Fingers crossed 🤞
Told you month's ago
@14:20. Use Tenex not Team.
Read comment above.
So sub MOA with Team isn’t good enough for you? How well do you think these rifles shoot? If I had only one rifle to find ammunition that shoots well in it that might be different. I’m trying to find ammunition that will shoot decent in 20 different rifles and believe it or not Tenex has not been it. I’ve tried all sorts of ammunition in these rifles and Tenex has not performed consistently for me.
@@RimfireSS Online people are so weird. He tells you what YOUR barrel should use, but he has not shot your barrel!
I get great results from Norma Tac-22 and from Eley Club in both of my .22LR rifles. One is T/CR 22, the other an AR with Right to Bear 16" pencil barrel.
But apparently I need to spend 2x to 2.5x on ammo that may be only equal.
@@seanoneil277 exactly!!! Every barrel shoot every ammunition different. It could be the next barrel off the line and it will shoot differently.
That kind of $$$for a .22? Lol
Keep in mind people spend 6-7000 on .22 rifles. Lol
@@RimfireSS Bore size does not determine cost. Hell, my pcp air gun I built for shooting slugs I design and cast has near 4K in it. (1/4 to 3/8" at 100 yards all day long).
For years many match promoters for .22 rf refused to let us compete saying we couldn't be competitive. They had no idea our extreme spread hovers around 9 to 12 fps and usually much tighter.
A recent national .22 event was held and they finally relented. AirGuns took first, second, and third. So there! And yeah, the cost like it! Figure in the compressors, 45 psi air tanks and accessories they are far more expensive than .22 RF.
