      It really was. Because in the 2000s this would be the only place, apart from going out and buying a DVD, where you could watch this scene apart from the cinema. High speed internet streaming videos was revolutionary at the time

  • @michalsoukup1021

    Custer was good in the civil war if he was under an officer who knew him and knew how to employ him.
    He was the man you would set to a single task and you could consider it done, no matter how hard, or possibly suicidal it was. And there is a place and dare say a need for such men if they are judiciously employed by their superiors

    • @michalsoukup1021
      @michalsoukup1021 3 года назад

      @knightmare91 super frog Custer was an excellent cavalerist, personally brave soldier who demonstrated casual disregard for his safety even when fighting the (At least in the first years) superior confederate cavalry.
      The moral fortitude was the "Only" part of the great officer mindset he lacked. Sadly that was the part that would have been most needed.
      You call him a murderer, and you are right.
      But the idea that the movie seems to push, of a coward and idiot, is simply ahistorical.

    • @michalsoukup1021

      @knightmare91 super frog and my people were killed by Nazis, that does not make every nazi a coward, asshole in need of shooting? Yes. Coward? No.

      Both the odds and his rationale were insane. I don’t condone the unjust persecution of North American Natives or, in Canada, First Nation Aboriginals. But I wrote this I focused on the arts and all I saw was a death wish that somebody’s ego disguise itself as a glorious battle. There is no glory in mass murder. There is no victory when dealing means are resolving a conflict is by the sword or the gun. Custer got what he deserved, i’ve never been on the side of forced relocation or wrongful prosecution just because you have the bigger stick. Because you feel you’re right due to the fact that someone has a different creed or a different skin.
