I feel like the Wano cover story will end with Sentomaru arriving in Wano, meeting/befriending Yamato and Momo. Staying to help them restore Wano to its former glory and do some Sumo with kawamatsu.
He'll also be useful as an asset to fight against Blackbeard's invasion of wano soon

@@Kekkersboy but he also knows about the one in Wano, which is closer and ON THE WAY to fishman island...the news of BB hitting Wano and being on his way to Fishman Island next could be a great juxtaposition for the Straw Hats in terms of "take that one last step and claim the One Piece or turn around to prevent this calamity from potentially becoming too much to handle".
If it were to happen in reverse then the Straw Hats would easily be able to defend Wano...Blackbeard knows that the Straw Hats know about both Ancient Weapons, and that both are placed in Straw Hat territory, so obviously he would strategize in a way where he can launch suprise attacks on both places rather than one.
Chasing Blackbeard to Fishman Island could also organically give Luffy a reason to destroy it, and after that place the straw hats right next to Mariejoa for the WG endgame

It's RIDICULOUS how philosophical, how parallel this story is to our real world. It blows my mind all the time. What group do I get behind if I CRAVE a better world? When you can't control who has a camera in a war zone, it's a lot harder to look like the righteous good guys.

I've theorized for a long time now that Sakazuki's story will not go in the expected direction of Luffy and/or Sabo getting revenge, but instead he'll get a "redeeming" storyline where he ends up going against the WG...the thought of the Tenryubito having to face the "Absolute Justice" that they created is so poetic to me.
And when this arc took on pace I even theorized that Kizaru's suppressed anger would end up exploding at Sakazuki, and Sakazuki in turn respecting it (since Kizaru is literally the ONLY person Sakazuki seemed to genuinely respect).
This moment was phenomenal, perfectly executed and almost like it's written to culitvate seeds for my shot-in-the-dark theory...Sakazuki apologizing and Kizaru saying "Watch your mouth!" was the cherry on top, just brilliant
I definitely agree. People want to hate on Akainu cause of Ace mostly which honestly wasn’t the worst thing he did. People forget it was him blowing up the passenger ship off Ohara. I think Akainu bought fully into the propaganda of the devils of Ohara, so in his eyes he was saving the world. Same with killing Ace, who had the “worst” pirate’s blood in his veins. I’m expecting a really tragic backstory and showing how evil pirates were from his point of view. Readees forget: a lot of pirates of the One Piece world aren’t good people. Some terrorize towns, kill innocents, steal, enslave people, and in some cases probably SA a lot of women. Think of Big Mom, Kaido, Doffy, Moira, Crocodile to name a few… not good people. I wouldn’t be surprised if Akainu saw the worst of this.
@@nicholasanderson7316 "Yes" to everything...we like to think of it as him "killing Ace", but really it was "killing an escaped prisoner that was already sentenced to death". Two more points you didn't mention but are often brought up: he ruthlessly killed a Marine soldier and tried to kill Coby. The former was a deserter and the latter was protecting an enemy, in an era defining battle no less (not calling Marineford a "war"...it wasn't)
People like to view him from the unquestionably noble morality of the Straw Hats, like they're not a HUGE exception in this world...and also they underestimate the weight that each admiral's "Justice" holds for them.
He's ABSOLUTE and a *serious* force to be reckoned with at that...that's why he gave it his all to kill Whitebeard (Blackbeard totally stole that kill after Akainu did most of the work), why he used underhanded tactics to secure the kill on Ace, why he left nothing to chance as he ordered to destroy the refugee ship at Ohara, why he killed the deserter on the spot and tried the same with Coby...he's a menace alright, but if you're dealing with a world littered with pirates a menace is what you want.
The Ohara incident is easily the hardest to forgive, but let's compare this event where he snuffed out a danger before it could even take root to the time when he tried the same but failed...Luffy.
After discovering he had conquerors haki Akainu went after him with the same agency as with Ace...he knew the potential danger in Luffy but failed to end him. Just over two years later and Luffy became exactly what Sakazuki feared back then.
To summize: No matter how, the WG created a terrifying monster...Absolute Justice that's as volitile as it is self sufficient.
For now the people of Mariejoa think they're above the world, let's wait for the moment when Sakazuki realizes their injustice and in turn makes them realize what the word "absolute" stands for

The new drip that Kizaru had in the anime (yellow and black), the black signifies potential/future mourning, because he knows that either way Vegapunk was gonna die and he had to accept that. But what made it more impactful was Kizaru himself killing Vegapunk. Kizaru was in pain from the start.
he was very laidback about it while acting on it like he is known to be amongst the marines and those under his command. So it really came across when in the aftermath, talking to his friend and equal he was finally able to express how he really felt and show his pain.
Especially because Kizaru probably knew they deployed him there for that very reason. To test his loyalty. That's why he had to be the one to do kill Vegapunk.
The most interesting thing for me this chapter was that Akainu considered the whole thing a failure when in fact they actually succeeded. The marines were sent there to kill Vegapunk and they did. Some people don't realize that the other tasks they were given like kill luffy, Bonney and everything else were orders given by Saturn personally and Akainu wouldn't know about those orders since Saturn gave them to the people that were there on Egghead. So it's interesting that Akainu considers the whole thing a failure. He's starting to realize just how honestly useless being the Fleet Admiral really is. Cause he can't do anything himself. He has to rely on other people and it's not working out for him

Makes u think if Akainus behavior is just an act to conceal how he rly feels when he is the one that showed mercy while the guy who always acts like he doesn't care about anything had the guts to go through with it.
Kizaru was directly ordered to do it whereas Akainu had a choice...not to mention the looming theory that Aokiji is still working with them as an undercover agent, who knows what deal they struck that fateful day but it'd be very uncharacteristic for Akainu to let a potential threat go free (remember Ohara and how he pursued Luffy after discovering he has conquerors haki?). "Mercy" really isn't part of his repertoir unless he saw a net gain in terms of absolute justice.
But on a side note...Kuzan and Sakazuki weren't friends, much less BEST friends. I don't know where you got that impression from as I see no sign of it in the entire story.
Their fight happened because one vehemently refused to work under the other, they were colleagues that respected each others strenght but not more. Personality wise they were like oil and water, or dare I say: like magma and ice
Unfortunately, the internet is not forever. Big companies and governments are constantly working to scrub content they don't want, or even just conserve server space. Never mind accidents.
I love how Oda reminds us the Antagonists are Human and not just villains.

My thinking is that Punk Records, at some point, BECAME Vegapunk. The Stella was NOT Vegapunk, just the satellite that he chose to be his most valued trait (curiosity, inventiveness, something like that). So, moving forward, (Vega)Punk Records has migrated the functions previously dedicated to the other satellites that died to Lilith, and will keep her hidden from the WG while maintaining her access to Punk Records. This is evidenced by the fact that she cries (albeit momentarily) for the "dead" satellites (not an evil thing to do at all. much more like the good Shaka). She also exhibits hunger and explicitly states that it's because she's no longer connected to York.
The bonk to the head disconnected Lilith which is the reason York thinks Lilith is dead
I always thought that when Akainu won Aokiji, he ordered him to flee the marines and go on a secret mission to infiltrate the blackbeard pirates. So the twist is that Akainu and Aokiji are secretely collaborating
Luffys mind probably still has PTSD from when ace died and when he lost his crew as well that’s why his mindset always has to be “I will win” or “I will do”. Any self doubt would be us witnessing a Luffy we might not even recognise if it happens another time in the future. Will be very interesting

I loved the close up panel of Kizaru. The light man who finally let his emotions scream so vividly- his eyes in the meantime were devoid of all light. A pitch void allowing the reader to peer into his soul at that moment.

This. Why do so many people think Elbaf are Shanks minions? They are a nation meant to be so powerful that Big Mom considered them enough to break the deadlock of the Yonko and allow her viceroy over the others. A nation so powerful the World Governwmnt has NEVER tried to conquer them (as far as we know, and at least has never succeeded), and the only other place that holds that privilege was WANO (whose most recent generation of warriors, if Kaido had never shown up, probably would have been equivalent to a Yonko crew in military strength. Oden, the Scabbards, the Daimyo and Yakuza leaders like Hyo, plus an army that AFTER 20 years of starvation and slavery still had 15000 members on both sides. There would have been more if not for that.).
Shanks is a guy who became a big fish 6 years ago in the current story comparatively, and has never once been mentioned by any major player to have such a relationship with the Giants (even the ones like Big Mom, who were obsessed with Elbaf, and would make a point of knowing about things like that). Why would the Giants bow to him? Why can't he just be friendly with some of them? People just saw Shanks at Elbaf, and jumped to ALL the conclusions (despite him outright saying he was just passing through on his way to somewhere else, and didn't even mean to stay as long as he did. Lol.).
He's 100% not in Elbaf. We saw him literally 3 chapters ago in his ship, the Red Force, sailing on the sea, drunk, during Vegapunk's message.

1- Theory emerged from the God Valley panel where a member of Roger's crew has the same Hat
2- Morgan's real appearance has never been seen, he's constantly on his Hybrid form.
3-Morgan withstood Big Mom's conquerors at the tea party
4- HE LITERALLY SAYS SOMEONE FROM THE WORST GENERATION WILL BECOME THE NEXT KING OF THE PIRATES. A journalist hunch? Or the knowledge that "strong pirates will appear in 20 years"
This comment was also made right before Wano. Of course you could say he met one of Roger's crewmembers and they gave them the info.

I also think Euroge will enter the story soon too. I think the last road ponoglpyh will be on a sky island and a central piece to the next story arc. I think that's why Lafayette has wings. Blackbeard gave him a devil fruit that gave him wings so he could get in, get the rubbings and get out. Somehow, all the emperors are going to get the last ponoglpyh and have a showdown on Laugh Tale similar to the event on God Valley.
I know the edo tensei device is not popular by any means, but it's a little interesting to the kind of resurrection matchup that is absolutely a possibility now depending how certain powers can work: Moria's shadow zombies where he can place a random soul into a strong body vs proxy bodies built by Vegapunk, MADS or whoever, imbued with actual souls of the deceased through possibly Brook ushering lost souls into those bodies if Oda so chose to give him that kind of power through awakening maybe. Like false Zombie Ace vs proxied true Ace.
At one point during the arc the Elders talk about Robin and they blame Akainu for "letting her escape" , i thought that was a clear indication that Akainu was TASKED by the elders to destroy the Evacuation ship leaving O'Hara. They dont even blame it on Kuzan! I think Akainu was groomed by the Elders, they used his Hate of pirates and transformed him into an obedient dog enforcing Absolute Justice.

If Morgan’s was okay with serving the World Government, he would be already, but it very clear that he is on his own side. I find it much more likely that Morgan’s remains a chaotic element than one which will allow himself to be controlled in order to be spared.
15:32 theoretically, yes, the internet is forever, but practically, no. Technology is changing all the time and software becomes obsolete. What exists becomes no longer usable. Content will only exist for as long as software exists which allows access to it. Once that software becomes unable to access the content because it doesn’t open lower quality content, then that content basically ceases to exist, because it’s inaccessible. A small number of games are getting rereleases to save them, but how long will that happen? I never used MySpace, but apparently finding personal content lost from it is quite difficult. Technology has a lifespan.

4:45 I also dont think this is the direction the story is going, but why is it bad to advocate against the system that opresses the majority of the world in your story. If the solution would be to install a world government but now run by good people instead of bad ones, that seems to be not adressing the issue the story has set up. The problem here is that there is a government that CAN opress the people even exists, a "good" government doesnt fix that. Now as you said the cooperation between all people (nations do not necessarily need to exist in this case) is obviously not a bad thing, but there are other ways to achieve this than one class ruling over the others. As I already said, I dont think this is what Oda is doing, but it would really be cool if he installed a new system at the end of the story that actually adresses the issues of the old one.

Vega punk has only ever had one soul.... A soul isn't something that can be made by science, Vega punk has multiple bodies but his one and only soul resides in punk records along with his memory. If I hooked my brain straight up to an rc car it wouldn't cause the remote control car to suddenly have a soul of its own, its just a machine being piloted like any other, the soul would still be my soul in me just like how Vega punk is the brain in a jar. Really when you get down to it we are all just brains in jars in control of mighty meat mechs.
If Morgan was all about self preservation, why wouldn't he have given up vivi and wapol during the reverie?
This felt like a short chapter ngl, but I think it's more because of all the wrapping up it was doing. This one feels like we're done with Egghead, though it's strange not to show CP0's status at all, or York's - like Lilith isn't the only Vegapunk still, it's just that York works for the WG.
Morgans' dynamic with Vivi is fun, lawful good vs neutral evil, but it is weird of him to be so anti-Luffy about it, last I recalled he was betting on Luffy being king. Plus it's not like he has a shortage of headlines and everyone heard the feed anyway. He's probably feeling himself though because he thinks he's safe in the air, but if everyone takes to the skies like Vegapunk was planning then that leverage won't be much use anyway.
It was nice for Kizaru to show remorse and stuff but at the same time I can't shake the 'that's nice, still chose an oppressive government system over your friends though' feeling. Akainu getting talked back at felt like when the quiet kid snapped in class, but calling him 'brother' was a bit much. Glad he let Sentomaru flee though.
Very interesting from Oda to frame it as the loss it was for the Straw Hats though, they failed to save Vegapunk so you felt the weight of that...for a few moments anyway. I feel like Lilith was overly vague so to explain it another time but likely it's just that the Satellites' personality return to the brain jar, they're 'functionally dead' but not actually dead. Zoro was a bit harsh about it but on the other hand they are a Yonko crew now, not every mission will be a perfect win, and the captain can't afford to show weakness and shut down at a failure in the scope of - as Franky pointed out - immeasurable odds.
It was interesting not to have Bonney or Kuma in this chapter either, as we clearly are gearing up for whoever's waiting for them on Elbaf. I do worry that Robin's gonna end up disappointed though in her hopes of seeing Saul again.

My thoughts & opinions on the chapter:
1. Assuming Lilith become a "whole" Vegapunk after what happened to Stella & her fellow Sattelites, and losing her connection with York, do you think that this will be what makes her an official Straw Hat Pirate regardless on how she gets along with the crew?
2. I don't know who the mysterious person is or why he wants the Strawhats to come, but I would like to know if they are a friend or a foe? Regardless on how it will officially start the Elbaf Arc.
3. Since Egghead had a lot of Sabody references until now, will it be possible for Elbaf or wherever the next arc takes place parallel Amazon Lily? If so, perhaps the Kuja tribe will appear just like Kuma, Sentoumaru, and Kizaru did.

akainu burning all elbaf and dragon step in but garlin dont play and makes more chaos than shanks stops everything as in marineford but that's not enough anciant weapons start shooting and the world sinking even more, imu face revealed. Isn’t shanks in elbaf? I assumed that the silhouetted figure was shanks, as Oda is foreshadowing the long awaited meeting between shanks and luffy? Even luffy’s declaration at the end of the chapter seemed like a challenge, one that shanks and all of the yonko are preparing for: because the race for the one piece has truly begun.
